So how will we bring Hope to these people?
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyGive them something horrible to compare it to.
They will have hope when all are one.
If you worship me you get happiness! If not...
-shows Chernabog doing crap-
Well at least we got our Satan figure.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazySo I was thinking of having Primus's body enter orbit around the Plane, basically inaccessible unless he deems otherwise or a miracle is required. Sound OK, esteemed GM?
Well, you can't exactly bring Hope to the people when there are no people to bring Hope to.
That sounds reasonable, yeah. He probably won't need to transform unless things really start falling apart and he'll need to communicate either through telepathy or a constructed mechanical avatar.

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyYes. Which is why making an Earth-like planet is plan A. Because "Earth is the home of the Entity which is the source of all life."
Also I assume we're NOT going with the Lantern mythos of "The first being to feel X Emotion becomes the incarnation of X emotion"
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyEh, depends on which way you want to go.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyI don't care either way. Admittedly two Adaras all being all "I'm totally not full of religious subtext" would get annoying but meh.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyWell, if it happens it won't be an exact copy of Adara.
Far from it, most likely. With a radically different view of Hope.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyAka not "I'm not full of religous subtext."
Seriously. I love the the Lantern Corps but the Blue just annoy me. "I am Saint Walker. And you are the presence of..." BLAH DE BLAH. LISTEN LADY I'VE MET OTHER "GODS".
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyStill, there pretty decent folks.
Especially compared to their fellows on the "positive" end of the Emotional Spectrum.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyLet's see we have the Guardians. Who make the Council in Mass Effect look proactive...
Yeah the DC Universe kind of blows when you think about it.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyPlus, Marvel's always had more cosmic supergods than DC, even after the introduction of the Emotional Entities.
And The Monitors and The Endless don't count.

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyAnd Marvel is totally better for it.
You know... I say this as a devout man but... How does Christianity or any similar religion still exist in those universes? There's admittedly mentions of false gods but... Wow.
"We should do something!"

To Be Updated when I'm not LazyWell, some people are just crazy-fathful like that. I mean, maybe they believe that superheroes are servants of the Devil or blessed by God.
It's entirely possible that they believe that Thor and Loki and Galactus and all that are just aspects, masks for the one true God.
Just a theory, really.
"Should we do something?"

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyWell, Superman is laser-eyes flying Jesus. Other than that...

I think there was a Church of Superman or something that showed up at one point.
"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyThat'd be a fun comic actually. I mean Daredevil we've seen his faithfulness...
Actually the recent canon of Ghost Rider clouds it up more.
AAAHHH WHY DID THEY BRING RELIGION IN THIS!?
Yeah there was a Church of Superman. And his creators were Jewish... The thing I've heard is Moses.

To Be Updated when I'm not LazyBecause bringing religion into things, when done right, can make for an interesting and engaging story.
And didn't the Church of Superman have something to do with the backstory of that guy who went back in time to kill Supes over and over again? Magog, I think he was called.

"You have more than enough potential. So tell me what is the one wish that would make your soul gem shine." -Mitt Romney, probablyBut the issue is that relgion is barely explored.
Really one of the few people who tries is Garth Ennis. An man who somehow has a personal vendetta against religion.
Admittedly Daredevil's gotten some great stories out of it. And we must thank Frank Miller for that.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyBut at least it's funny.
...Ennis is a man I'll say YMMV too and then scoot away from.
To Be Updated when I'm not LazyWow I killed thread already. New record.
To Be Updated when I'm not Lazy
And here we are.
