I'm calling the crowners in favor of the rename to Jack of All Stats. There is no point in holding them up when action is clearly called for.
Thank you everyone who participated. Please begin the rename process.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"We still don't actually have rename consensus though. That crowner has stalled. Should we go ahead and rename anyway without that?
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickYes. Again, I'm exercising some discretion here. I suppose we could get the other mods in here to confirm it.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Could somebody point me to the official policy page that requires an exact 2:1 majority before a rename is allowed? Because I strongly suspect that such a policy doesn't actually exist, and if it doesn't, Fighteer has every right to make this call.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! As long as Fighteer says it's good. I still don't see how renaming to the thing that caused the misuse in the first place will fix anything, but I suppose I'm out voted.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWe don't have an official policy page that says that 2:1 is absolutely required and cannot be over-ridden. Because it isn't. But it's not over-ridden lightly or without discussion among the mods and admin. Fighteer has my support as a mod in this case.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.For reference, I'm aware of only one serious case of mod intervention forcing a rename (okay, two), the other being Eccentric Mentor because the arguments changed dramatically during the course of the crowner, rendering most of the votes obsolete (all the anti-rename arguments were disproven during the course of the debate, thus a new crowner to reflect this would have been a box-ticking exercise only).
This seems an acceptable deviation from established practice that mods not intervene where possible.

My name is Addy. Please call me that instead of my username. Is the crowner locked? I can't cast a vote myself, and this is about the only crowner that seems affected.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Yeah, it's locked.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI do think this trope really needs to be renamed. I just think that this rename is going to have it back in here within a few months, but c'est la vie.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickLocked crowners need a more visible lock icon, then. I was trying to tell myself it wasn't a bug.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Okay, the main page has been moved and the description and examples rewritten. Along the way I noticed it needs example cleanup, and obviously there are 700-odd wicks to be changed (you can find them here).

Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toPost that it needs a wick-clean-up here, please.
Locking.

Crown Description:
Whether to rename The Mario. There's a long discussion in the forums you may want to read first.
And you have done. 5 or 6 times without actually making further argument.
The mods have left the single prop crowner up as a courtesy in case the wave of votes for a rename were met with similar numbers against, but it has only risen in favour since the crowner began, so it's just simplifying things - and not unfairly - by not insisting on the arbitrary 2:1 ratio.
