In addition to that being... morally flawed, it's just plain counterproductive. Listening to people like that is not a thing politicians are known to do- indeed, standing firm in their stances against threats like that tend to gain them support.
Plus it's friccken' Heller, who, as things stand, is the most likely person to cast the deciding vote. It's the place where we can afford that kind of fuckery the least. If it had been some rank-and-file senator from a super red state, it'd still be shitty, but we could at least say 'well, they were definitely going to vote for it anyway, so at least it's not really affecting anything'. But here? Can you imagine if Heller decides 'strongman who doesn't give in to death threats' is the image he wants in 2018, and this makes him vote Yes? And if that makes BCRA pass?

Unfortunately cases like this are probably inevitable. Desperate humans are apt to do stupid things and if it's life and death on the line even more so.

I check out and yep, the WH said the people of venezuela show a desire for free election and democracy but Maduro ignore it because is a bad leader with aspiration of dictatorship....

So, I see by Twitter trends that we are now in fact a few weeks into hurricane season (with Tropical Storm Don forming in the Caribbean but unlikely to make an impact though the irony would be palpable if it did). We still don't have a head of FEMA, do we?

Keep in mind, the House is still going on vacation in August, so... We may be facing a Republican-Caused Government Shutdown (again)...

How much would this affect any Government jobs? Because I work at the DMV with the MN Department of Public Health and Safety, so if I'm at risk at getting forced unpaid vacation because of Republican BS, I'd like to know.
