Yeah, the boar also sucked. I ended up using Kill Arrows and Devastating Shot (paired with Achilles' Bow for that sweet bonus) to whittle its health down at the start, then Hero Strike while it was poisoned for disgusting damage.

Oh, has anyone else found the Falx of Olympos? It seems like a really potent weapon for, weirdly enough, Assassin-focused builds, given that Assassin is the high-damage-out no-damage-in playstyle.

It's been fun.

Try fire

Did. Does fuck all. Other than set yourself on fire when he charges you with his distorted hitbox which makes it worse.

What build are you using? If you can boost Assassin damage, I recommend Hero Strike. It does a stupid amount of damage, and the rest just becomes a question of staying alive.

Also, the healing talent is irreplaceable.

It's been fun.

The Rain of Arrows is probably so effective because it doesn't act like arrows at all. Instead, it acts like a hand grenade with an area of effect that does splash damage to all enemies within that area. That way, it hits the boar's hitbox by default.

Wait a second.

Your real father is a guy who was according to wikia 139 years old when you met him

What do you think about thehidden blade.com? They have really interesting assassinations's videos. I like to watch aurlcooljay's videos.

Before doing last mission of Copernicus Conspiracy, i cleared a Borgia tower in area where The Master appears, and now no detection meter appears above his head when he sees me. Is that bug, or everyone else expirienced this?

Also, i have found a way to kill Il carnefice for 100% without getting detected. If anyone is interested PM.

In the "wild bear" cave, where you kill Zoisme, there is an odd sort of bowl that gives a repeating arcing light effect. You can't interact with it, and the PC won't comment on it. I wonder what it is.

[up][up] It's explained in game how he managed to have kids at the ripe age of 139

Also, use the explosive arrow. Or the sniper arrow. it's remarkably good even against close range enemies and it only uses 1 bar of adrenaline, and it does like, 6X damage.

So how far is everyone? I'm 100 hours in, and have only managed to explore about half the map, probably less when counting islands.

This game. It's so huge. It's really too much...

I disagree. I looooove getting lost in giant maps like this.

I recently played another Ubi game, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, and I'm convinced Ubisoft is capable of making the next Star Wars game. I didn't think Star Wars would make for a very good open-world game until I played Star link.

Well, I mean, sure it's fun, but when it takes you 200 hours to 100 percent the game, it is a bit much.

I'm not even bothering with all those timed quests and challenges, either. Just the main story and side quests is already quite a lot.

I'm at 68 hours and I got most of the map explored except Macedonia and Arkadia and Lesbos.

Why on earth would you want to? Jesus christ I only rob places when I'm hard up for cash. Not to mention it's a bit cruel to just murder a dude for being in a commander's role just doing his job

Because the completionist in me says so.

Just found the Angry Caldera of Arges... and there is nothing there. Two ports, a volcano, and Isu ruins all over. Maybe a future DLC?

Yeah, it is a little overwhelming, honestly. It doesn't help that so many islands open up in the mid-30s - I'm level 37 already and there's something like four regions for the later 20s and another four for the 30s I haven't touched. At least everything scales, but man.

I'm also not sure how far I am through the game. I'm on my way to Naxos to meet Phoenix, which feels like... halfway, maybe?

Also, I really hate that you're able to track down the Sage of the Eyes so early, given that her clue to the Ghost of Kosmos is the one that completely spoils the Ghost's identity.

It's been fun.

Yeah [up] feel that is a bit much. Her clue should have been something else.

Have started exploring the southern seas, haven't really touched the southern part of the Greek mainland. Whew this is a hefty amount of content.

I mean, the clue (again, from the Sage of the Eyes of Kosmos, who is scaled to be hunted at level 17), is The Ghost controls Athenian politics. That's ridiculously on the nose.

It's been fun.

[up] And The figure is clearly female. HMMMM.

I do think they missed a good opportunity around the morality of war and the actual back and forth around, say, the Helots and the weird restructures around athenian politics (Spartan women being more emancipated, along with Spartan allies, whilst ALSO enslaving Helots. Versus Athenian Democracy but with restrictive class systems and an empire built on heavy taxation and tithes.)

Need to clear Boethia, clear some more unfound locations (well, find them, not necessarily CLEARING them) then hopfully have most of the islands done.

Wow, the rock points are the worst geometry in the game. I've died four or five times now on the quest to find your father because Kass keeps taking casual little hops off of them into lava.

It's been fun.

I was really worried about that, but I've had the opposite experience. Alexios has actually adjusted my aim for me while I was rock hopping inside the Volcano of Hephaestos and saved my ass more than once.

Speaking of which, I love this game's "MGSV" style of Easy Evangelism, where cultists and barbarian tribesmen gladly give up their old lives to go a-sailing on your boat.

Also note that your lieutenants keep the abilities they have when you first encounter them. Put a few high level Amazonians on your ship, and watch them set enemies on fire left and right.

Also, since your crew is immortal, you CAN hang back on your own ship and let your crew take care of things up close while you take potshots with your bow and arrow. The enemies will be way too busy with your crew to shoot back at you, and they won't hop ships. I suspect they even die when you manage to kick one onto your own ship.
