Channel the power... of metacritic. And Napster.

Wonder if the gorgon is an animus glitch, dream sequence or someone wearing some weird fake out makeup. Still looks.... Cool.

It's kinda blatantly an Apple of Eden illusion going by what Kassandra picks up at the end of the battle.

Even before that, it glows like Apple of Eden holograms do.

Missed posting this.

So you can recruit your crew members from mercenaries and other random enemies, and you can summon them to fight for you with a certain perk as well.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. [tup]

Ya get to fight in an epic war, contribute to the war effort in numerous ways, command your own battalion of soldiers, explore Greece with period appropriate gear, build yourself up with epic gear, & hunt down diverse enemy mercenarys that are like Middle-Earth's Nemesis System.

All in all it looks very fun. [tup][tup]

[up] That sounds Rather cool. I won't check anything more in depth but that's a good summary. But interesting how we may be seeing an "origin" for the Templars - we saw them formalise in Origins, but this being another precursor order could be fascinating

As for the Gorgon: the apples do that whole Your Mind Makes It Real thing, so those statues could be the apple rewriting reality as well as mentality to turn people to stone. We've had genuine undead materialising, even if it was a weird illusion - that's never elaborated on. I'd embrace more mythic stuff if it means we embrace the whole precursor artefact stuff as well - as an explanation.

[up][up] That's.... pretty cool. But naturally trying to Set up a perfect society using advice from the society that made mankind as a SERVITOR RACE seems a bit suspect.

I've also noted they're REALLY channelling the Witcher with the musical cues in those trailers. But damn me if the functionality, the ship, the mercenaries.... just it's ticking all the right hype boxes for me.

It was certainly gorgeous looking, and it was refreshing to have a story without all the Assassin/Templar politics, but I'm worried it is making the series stray too far from its stealth game hide-in-plain-sight roots, and as a completionist I really wish Ubisoft would stop making big maps filled with little inconsequential things to complete.

I really enjoyed exploring the map of Origins, but I agree it was a tad oversised, especially the north-west part.

I thought I was almost done, but then I was in the northwest section forever. Then when I finally get to the desert in the southwest there was nothing there. What was the point?

Hopefully it's filled with more interesting stuff, less random treasure chests.

I could also use more variety in side quest. "Go to fort, kill commander, and extract random hostage" got damn repetitive.

Origin was a good start, but I can easily see Ubisoft reverting to their old habits and giving us a boring empty map filled with busywork. A million viewpoints, treasures, and pointless forts.
