NGL, seeing some redrawn character portraits would go a long way to me being interested in this.

I don't want to get my hopes up but that wouldn't happen to be the Lancelot from Lelouch of the Resurrection, would it? Cause I've really been hoping for it to get into the mainline series ever since the movie released and I don't want to get hype without being sure.

I know this sounds overly optimistic and naive, but is there any chance of Western Release of this now that Harmony Gold has (probably reluctantly) calmed the fuck down?

The English release is mostly for Asian territories for now

All the crossover games in English haven't had Macross anyway so Harmony Gold potentially being less shitty likely won't change a thing. It's still a licensing clusterfuck.

They didn't use Macross because of the licensing clusterfuck. The only issue is that the resolution of said clusterfuck probably came way too late in this development cycle to mean anything. Maybe next time.

Of course, that begs what the out-of-left field pick will be this time? Anyone want to take a bet on Pacific Rim showing up now that Pacific Rim: The Black is a thing?

I think Pacific Rim is one of the few western Mecha series that even japanese fans want to see in SRW.

I mean, there is even a japanese hack of SRW 4 that replaces the OG characters and mechas with Pacific Rim ones!

As by the time the hack was made, none of the sequels existed at that time.

I know this is probably going to be a weird one, but considering we have FINAL in this game... I kinda want to see Betterman finally make it's way out of Compact 3 obscurity.

They never put Combattler without Voltes right? Then again Zambot and Daitarn have appeared separately from each other.

Voltes has the live action show coming up. You would think that would make good synergy.

It usually takes two or three years after a series starts, though there are exceptions.
