Wapeachette.
I really want to see King K. Rool get a shot at being the main antagonist of a movie. Nintendo has shied away from using Kremlings in the past, (Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze spring to mind) I'm assuming because they were made by Rare and that has some bearing in things, but then there are other games where they did use the Kremlings, so I'm really uncertain about their status.
Edit: Thought this was the Mario movie thread an was responding to the post about wanting more DK stuff in the future, and thus assumed they were talking bout future movies.

There's nothing uncertain about their status...
They haven't use the Kremlings because they didn't want to use the Kremlings.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I'm more surprised (and a bit not surprised because Nintendo) that after seeing the large fan reaction to K Rool getting in Smash that they didn't use him in the Mario Sports games or Mario Kart.
-Witty line-Isn't he in Tour?
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThe only sports games that exist after Ultimate aren't exactly games that would've used him anyway.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Was finally able to watch the Mario movie. Really fun and amazing. My only complaint is that it's not long enough.
Also, my brother and I played a 50-turn ordeal on Space Land. Wanna know how I became a Super Star?
Spoiler alert..... I don't know.
Bowser's laser caught me twice, when I had 155 and 192 coins respectively. All of 'em gone in both cases. And that Star located near the northeast corner? I fell three times on the Event Spaces, and because Peach was a sadist she had paid a Snifit cop so it would chase the thief, meaning that I got dragged all the way to the southwest (the opposite extreme of where the Star was). And the Star I could have reached at the southeast more easily by using a key to open a shortcut behind a Locked Door? Peach uses a chest to steal the key from me.
Oh, and Mario got three Stars from hidden bonus boxes. It was the only reason why he got up to 6 stars. X_x
The only reason why I won the board was because I won all three endgame Bonus stars (I mean, I had to win the Happening Star after falling so many times onto the Event Spaces X_x)
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Ended up picking up Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury due to the x4 Gold Coin deal that NOA is currently doing. It's fun playing through 3D World again, and it's cool to experience Bowser's Fury for the first time.
Exactly and the Mario supporting cast always take priority anyway.
I recently discovered a bit of a trolling moment in Super Mario Galaxy: near the end of the the level "Battlestation's Purple Coins", there is a lone Sling Star that is mostly hidden from the camera. I always wondered what it was for, but after replaying the level I found out: it just takes you to the end of the stage without the final Purple Coin.
I found a cute fanfic written in 2020 about Foreman Spike reflecting on his past and burying the hatchet for the sake of golf. I think it's based on his appearance in Mobile Golf back in 2001.

The Protomen enhanced my life. You know, having Foreman Spike playable in Mario Kart would be amazing.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300I finally got 100%-d Super Mario Galaxy!
Congratulations.
By the way, for Big Mouth Galaxy's star, you don't need to collect the star chips. You can wall jump to the top body of water and collect the gold shell.
Speaking of Galaxy, has anyone ever tried to make a maximum Coin run (i.e. getting as many Coins as you can in a level for the "high score")?
Yeah, people have done max coins. Here's a feature-length video.
Back in the good old days of the Wii, I always strived to get the most Coins in each Galaxy. By far the hardest one to do this was Deep Dark Galaxy.
I actually did it again when playing 3D All-Stars.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300I didn't really bother with Coins in Super Mario Galaxy. Collecting all those Star Bits was enough. Which makes it a little weird that Galaxy 2 (which I've never played myself) changed to focusing on Coins again.
I remember no such thing in Super Mario Galaxy 2. Coins were just as much health-restoring fodder as it was in the first game.
The hungry Lumas in 2 eat coins instead of star bits (except the ones in the overworld)
Song of the SirensIt has been a while since I played Super Mario Galaxy after all. A shame it could not have made a return in 3D All Stars.
I think Super Mario World is one of those games that's just infectious to me. I watched a streamer play through the game for the first time the other day and thought "Man. Now I want to replay that again myself." I don't know if any other Mario game really gives me that. Sometimes Super Mario Sunshine? But that game also gets hard as balls. SMW, unless you're doing the secret levels, isn't THAAAAT tough until near the end.
It has several interesting levels, such as the one where your time, coins and Yoshi medals determine the paths you'll take.
