Paper Jam I won't count because I've never played it and because it uses both Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario at the same time, but that does fit Dream Team. and the two games made after Super Paper Mario.
Well, Bowser's just straight up the main villain in Paper Jam, there's not even a bait and switch like in Dream Team.
But I've always liked that there's an appearent evolution of Bowser's character in the M&L games, Luigi gets a similar treatment and becomes less of a (total) wimp as the series goes on.
Not really. It's that he gets more respect each game, while becoming more competent.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Same difference.
Either way there's an evolution of the characters and that's been one of my favorite elements of the games.
Wimps can be respected and that deserves respect by default.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Good points. Still, I kinda want Bowser to become plot-irrelevant once more so that some more new villains appear or even villains from previous Mario RPGs like the Shroobs are the main threat. I will freely admit this: Bowser always being the main villain does work for the main series, but in spinoffs it gets stale after the third and/or fourth game in a row.

make him playable again, like in Mario RPG, Bowser's Inside Story and Super Paper Mario
I'd be down for that.
Same here. Bonus points for if he's the boss of the first chapter/game section. And just because there's no need to double-post, a hypothetical idea for a future Paper Mario (that probably won't be approved by Nintendo):
Bowser has kidnapped Peach as usual, but when he returns to his castle he finds out that his minions have excavated an ancient relic that can control time. When Mario arrives, during the battle between Koopa King and Plumber the relic activates on its own and sends Mario, Peach, Bowser, and a large number of his minions 1600 years into the past.
The Mushroom Kingdom hasn't been formed yet and the Toads all live in terror because they've been caught in the crossfire of a war between two Koopa tribes, a southern tribe that is eventually revealed to be led by Bowser's ancestors, and a northern tribe led by Koopa Mage-Knights, one of which is a distant ancestor of Kamek. Peach is captured by the northern tribe, and Mario finds himself having to join forces with Bowser in order to rescue her.

Ever since Odyssey came out I've had this headcanon that New Donk City and Diamond City, (where the WarioWario games are set,) are bitter rivals, always trying to one-up the other in everything they do.

That's a pretty decent headcanon.
On an unrelated note, I've begun playing through Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door again yesterday and well, thanks to an absurd amount of luck I got to Floor 50 in the Pit of 100 Trials. At level 11 with 30 HP, 20 FP, and who knows how much BP, Hooktail stood no chance even without using the Attack FX R badge when I battled her today.

I really regret that I didn't get a Gamecube during my childhood, because I really want to give The Thousand Year Door a try.
I have heared so freaking MANY praises for the game and I want to see for myself if the game is really worth all the hype.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.That's unfortunate...it's a positive game.
Wouldn't concern about hype though, considering how that goes.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. There is the option of seeing an LP of the game. Chuggaaconroy played the game early in his LP history, so you might encounter a few instances of him talking about the now-defunct You Tube time limit.

I guess I can take that into consideration.
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.I did have a Gamecube during my childhood, but never played Paper Mario: TTYD until well after it.
All my life I've wanted a Super Bowser game styled after his stages in TTYD.
New villain comes along and brainwashes the Mushroom Kingdom and it's up to Bowser to save the day; boom.
I want another interactive lottery game like the Lucky Bomb...that I...cheated...

Mileena MadnessYou do understand that it's rigged, right?
I read on the wiki that the lottery numbers are not truly random. Instead, the GameCube determines the number shown based on how much time passed since the purchase of a lottery pick. At the very least, checking within 4-10 days gives a fourth place prize.
The video I posted goes over every single detail of how it works.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Bowser's SMB 3 boss theme remixed for Smash Ultimate by it's original creator Koji Kondo.
Page bottom post, but I do hope that the remake of Bowser's Inside Story adds a Money Sink to the game because if you know what you're doing you can get far more coins than what's needed to buy everything in the game (unless you're struggling with certain bosses and having to stock up on healing items). Personally, I would include a bean-digging minigame for this purpose where you try to dig up as many beans as possible within two minutes for 2000 coins and five minutes for 5000 coins (if you think that these prices are too low, feel free to increase them). Unlike Rupee Rush from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the timer would be shown on-screen and you automatically stop and warp to the NPC running the minigame when time runs out.

Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi have Bowser evolve in a similar way. He starts off as a threatening yet humorous baddie (RPG/1), turns into a dope (TTYD/Superstar Saga/Partners in Time), becomes a very useful ally (Super/Bowser's Inside Story), then turns into the big bad once more (everything afterwards).
It's been 3000 years…
