The Velvet Underground And Nico

The Byrds - There Is a Season

The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads

Monks - Black Monk Time

The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle

The hardest decision was if I wanted Mr. Tambourine Man or Notorious Byrd Brothers from the Byrds, as both are in the running for my favorite albums. I took the easy way out with a box set (albeit it doesn't have all the songs from both albums).

That's a really good question.

  • Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth
  • Talking Heads - Remain in Light
  • Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
  • King Crimson - Discipline
  • Kraftwerk - Computer World

That's right now, mind you. Although first two/three are probably always going to be there. Depending on which way the wind blows, Computer World could sometimes get swapped out for Pan Sonic's Kesto.

  • Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me (like the fellow earlier, I prefer Ys but this has more songs to discover)

  • Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

  • Arcade Fire - The Suburbs

  • Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

It's insane how outstanding both Ys and Have One on Me are.

Ys is that close to being on my list. On certain days it probably would be.
