Not strictly KoF-related, but this seems to be more of a general SNK Fighting Games topic, so. :V
I just beat Real Bout Fatal Fury Special for the first time - on the easiest difficulty, just like the above poster - and weirdly had way more trouble with Laurence Blood than any other fighter. Anyway, I eventually want to beat Nightmare Geese, but to even get to him, I understand I need AAA rankings on every fight, so it's going to take some work.
First of all, how do I do throws in this game? I think in KoF XIV to do throws you need to hit a heavy attack button plus forward or back while right up close to the opponent, but SNK tends to be a bit less consistent than Capcom with these inputs, so. Second, I'm playing the Switch port which comes with a move list - thankfully - and I keep seeing a 'forward > down-back > forward' input for certain SP or PP attacks (level 1 and 2 supers, respectively) - is that basically a DP input? I mean, it seems like you'd need to do a 'Z' motion with the stick to do it, which is basically a DP. :V

Terry's Super Special in Real Bout is very difficult. It is much easier to do in KOF games, and no, it is not a DP.

Is Shion actually balanced? I really liked playing him, which is weird for a subboss given how bare bones their movesets tend to be.

How do you unlock the Nightmare Geese fight in Real Bout Special, anyway? I was initially under the impression that it had to do with getting average AAA ranks, but then elsewhere on this site it says you just need to get a certain score after beating Krauser.

For arcade ports you need 750k points, to never lose once, and to never get a ranking lower than a B.
This is going to be so much fun.

Gold borders (5 stars) have a definitive advantage over lower tiers and in turn, they're outclassed by the FES units (the highest rarity in the game). That said, while a lot of FES units are broken, gold borders have a wider range of skills available and can make for very effective teams on their own right.

They used that sample in a lot of SNK songs - it was back in Todoh's theme in AOF 1 and you hear it before every fight in KOF 97, too.
