Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure the HG Aegis doesn't even have mounting points for beam sabers.
At least with my Blitz I was able to use one of my own spare beam saber effect parts and put it in its Trikeros.
God, I do love shields that double as weapons.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Just built the Full Armor Gundam 7th. Disappointed that it doesn't come with beam saber effects but delighted that the backpack is compatible with the Gelgoog jager model for future possible customization.
I keep forgetting there was a Full Armour Gundam before the Full Armour Gundam. I guess that's why people call the latter the "Thunderbolt Gundam?" Makes some sense I guess.
Anyway good job on it. Can you get us pics of your work?
I unfortunately don't have a good phone to take picture with and i don't really use social websites to post them though I might reconsider that.and borrow a digital camera and take photos of them later.
Built the AEUG GM II. It's basically the same as the GM II, a perfectly average kit. The biggest surprise was all the blues that replaced the grey as joints and jetpacks.
The stickers look nice I suppose.
I really do hope that the Zaku III get's a revive. Of all the first wave of HGUC he's the only one with a new kit. 4 got Revives already and the Z'Gok's gotten a Robot Damashii and an RG (sure it's the Char version, but it's the same basic design).
And with all the ZZ kits coming out (The Zssa reissue, ReGelgu, both Qubeley's getting a reissue), I hope that means something for the Zaku III. Poor guy. Zaku I and II got to be in OG gundam and he skipped a generation. The GM series balanced itself with three releases across generations, but this guy really needs it. Granted ZZ in general could use some more representation.
Checked out my local Hobbyshop and they had the Cluster Gundam for $15. I had to have it, I have been eying either it or the Neo Gundam for quite a while and at that price I couldn't resist. Gonna need a lot of paint, though.
That said, I should be able to get through the build in a couple hours, tops. So... yay. Not sure if I'll just do the details in paint or try to go whole hog. I feel like with the green effect parts a really dark color scheme would look great. I wonder if the white plastic accepts dye... if so, I'll actually probably dye all of it black and leave the blue.
EDIT: Nope, not even a little bit. Ah well. Looks like I'll be painting this sucker by hand.
Also got a Graze Ein and since it's so big and bulky I'm considering painting it in Byarlant Custom colors and having it chill with my BC, Hrairoo, and Hazel in my Titans corner.

Here they are. The good boys off to oppress the Spacenoids.
Okay I am seriously exhausted right now cause I just spent the entire night building my 144 models of Beal & Barbatos Lupus Rex consecutively.
Both look pretty great in my opinion, I think I'm getting better at building gunplas especially since they both can support themselves for the most part. I'm gonna work on Flauros next, & then Landman Rodi, saving Gusion Rebake Full City for last cause it looks the most complex.
Oh right I also recently finished my Master Grade of the original Gundam Wing a couple days ago. Pretty sure I messed up on some parts as the wings can't fully close & what's really annoying is that the hand can't support the cannon so its flabby thus depriving it of any possible posing. Same with the shield, damn thing kept falling off so I had to actually tape it to the arm to keep it in place.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."For loose joints, the best thing in the world is this floor polish, actually. Get a dropper and drop it onto the offending joints and it should tense them up. I've been using them on my Transformers' joints for years, and on some tricky Gundam joints. Sometimes though it's just the design of the joint and nothing will help.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The assorted models of the Wing, in particular, just have shit joint strength in the right arm given the weight that it's required to carry for that rifle. The EW version is especially egregious in that the rifle is larger and it also holds recharge batteries for the rifle.
I dunno, my HGAC Wing is able to hold it decently well.
I know nothing about Gundam Moon but it is now my favorite series of anything of all time.
I need this.

also finally started building a sexy sexy MG Epyon
Wish that Ball was HG.
Parachute Ground Type is a must have for me.
edited 10th May '18 3:15:50 PM by DrPsyche
You know, it got me really excited at first, then I remembered "oh, I never even built my Ez-8's parachute pack" and while the extra guns and GM head are awesome, it's not like the Ground type doesn't already have plenty of weapons. So I'll probably just get the vanilla Ground type that's out now.
...
... and then buy that one later on so I'll have a squad of 3.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I've been wanting to buy and build my own custom Gunpla, I got ideas for a 1/100th scale GM-Sniper, but I don't have the money for it.
I mean, why not start out with the 1/144? Why would it only work with the 1/100?

I will look into 1/144th scale.
Any good part stores?
Define "part store." What are you looking to get?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Spare parts so I don't have to buy entire kits for modification and such. Swapping out pieces here and there such as arms or hands, or even bits for the head.
Hobby Japan has just launched a new hobby magazine called "HJ Mechanics" today. It is a magazine that's targeted towards "adults who love mecha," and contains articles and columns on mecha model kits, pictures of model kits, interviews of modelers and developers of model kits, and product recommendations.
The reason I'm posting this here is because the first issue has two sections, and the first one is dedicated to Gundam side stories, including Gundam Sentinel, Advance of Zeta, and even Tyrant Sword of Neofalia. This section will feature an article about gunpla kits based on those series, kitbashed versions of the Ex-S and Hazel-Rah, a scratch-built Tyrant Sword, and an article centered on mobile suits in the Advance of Zeta storyline.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Just built the Asshimar. Like the Gaplant, it's a pretty solid older kit. I love that it's a mostly non-partsforming transformation. The alt mode is actually really good, even if the orange doesn't always piece together.
Some flaws: The hands. The transformation and the act of switching them out is awful and they get stuck easily. I don't like how the pelvis pegs into the torso. It's really tight and attached to some thin pegs. The wrist stickers aren't good. While the screws on the base is necessary, I'm annoyed because I can't find my screwdriver. The gun doesn't sit in under the MA mode too well, but it can be attached to the stand, so that should be ok.
But other than that it's an impressive kit. I really love how well it folds up and how the hands store on the stand. The way its legs are engineered is impressive and a damn solid joint. And as much as the hands bug me, kudos to the flaps hiding his wrist gaps, that's much more than I can say for a ton of Transformers. And just beyond that it's a pretty impressive and accurate figure.
So I finally finished the three M Gs I wanted to get (Turn A, Epyon and Aegis) so I'll be taking a slight break from the hobby. When I do get back tho I think I might try them HG 00 kits out...although the only ones I really want are the Reborns and Susanowo. Anyone know what the quality of those two are? Or at least the HG 00 line in general?
The S1 HGs were mostly adequate, but often compromised in some quite strange ways (the Dynames has no weapons except its rifle, and the Exia has a solid beam sabre). 00 S2 was a noticeable step up, but still a little way from perfect.
2010 (the Unicorn line and the All Gundam Project) was really the point at which Bandai got solid and consistent with its Gunpla.
What's precedent ever done for us?
Ah okay. Guess I'm sticking with the MG Aegis after all.
