Elemental Armor is its own trope now - is this issue resolved?

This discussion
made me think about applying similar things to Elemental Armor. I can see the image example fitting as well as some like X Men's Iceman and Magneto. However, examples like the one from Mega Man doesn't count as an armor but more like a barrier of some sort.
Maybe make a separate trope for Elemental Barrier instead?
