It's generally best to assume that anyone besides the villains, the boys in charge of the whole new operation and main girls is anime original.

Yes, its the new Ichigo design that I REALLY dont like! I think it would have been better to keep the Pink hair as Mew Ichigo.

With this trailer it's definitely a reboot. I'm curious on how they'll handle it, will they still flesh out the other girls or will they stick more closely to the manga? I certainly hope they do a better job of handling Masaya and Ichigo, unless they want a new generation of fans killing him off in fic.

I honestly don't really have a problem with him. I'm a multi shipper so I was pretty fine with any romantic tease that was shown in the series, but Masaya is remarkable as I have literally never seen such a mostly inoffensive character with such a strong hatedom. At least Tuxedo mask had the weird ass anime original age gap and Ikuhara's bias against him working in his disfavour, Masaya's worst crime is having the least interesting interactions with Ichigo and a few bad anime episodes focused on her crush on him.

The age gap between Ichigo and Ryou is 2-3 years, about the same as Minto and Zakuro's.
But yeah, Masaya's main flaw is how boring and unsexy he is. If you're a tween girl projecting into Ichigo, the idea that that guy is the one true love to strive for is just depressing. He honestly reads like the author just wanted the Romantic False Lead to win for once.

I'm sorry but I just CANT wrap around my head that KIDS will look for SEXYNESS in a character. Tokyo Mew Mew is a kids manga, first and foremost.

I know I know kids do get... sexual. But it is still too early for them to be looking at girls manga and say "GEE GOLLY GOSH THAT MASAYA IS UNSEXY AS HECK". If they are, they have probably outgrown Tokyo Mew Mwe entirely anyway.

No, no it's not. Even if you don't like the word "sexy," it is in no way odd for little girls to look at Ryou and Masaya and say "Ryou's cooler and cuter and dreamier and more fun. Stupid Masaya is lame in comparison!"
They did it for Zuko over Aang. They did it for Draco over Harry. They did it and do it so often and so many times that the fact you find it objectionable actually seems really weird to me?
Now THAT is more like it. I can agree with that even if I do like Masaya.
EDIT: Also I find disturbing that you imply little girls found Draco cooler. But meh. Also child... you know, is NOT objectionable but it doesnt drive them as much.
