Sorry, been caught up with a few things. Some ridiculous small misfortunes like having to work on debugging a Unix-like installation that's stuck on a tiny, virtualized terminal, all the while fighting off a nasty headache that's thrown my sleep schedule into a mess. But it's getting better. 😅

I'll try to get on posting soon.

Was thinking of taking the adventure 'hook' Ryuhza had left earlier. With a new character and maybe also a previous one that I had plans for, concerning the island in the Harbor (if it is the same one).

Interesting! As implied, Toni would totally do that as well, if her meeting with—and prompt rejection of a portal home by—Ultra happens to occur before the boat leaves.

ADDENDUM: Failing that, if I feel like I can handle introducing a fourth, I am considering it—he happens to have a very relevant skillset to exploring ruins (as something of an Indiana Jones pastiche) and is also one I haven't really written in any capacity. The thread moves at a rate I think it would be doable, and everyone is more or less compartmentalized into discrete plot threads to keep up with.

Oh cool! I was wondering if anyone would take me up on that. My only real plan b would be to just periodically advance it anyway until someone else joins in, kinda like David and older Joseph's escapades on the beach back on day one. Speaking of which, if nothing else comes up for David, there will probably be another less formal adventure happening in that direction.

While I'm waiting on Will, I have to say that I'm amused by Lancer's specific request. It's not the sort of thing most people just have around but... Aseyu is a jeweler by training. (Albeit a middling one. She can repair, resize, set gems, stuff like that, but it's her sisters who have the real talent for the family craft while Aseyu mostly works on the advertising, branding, and PR side.) She actually would have a jeweler's torch, gold, flux, and a loupe available.

Convenient point of bonding for the two of them, being that flirting will invariably be... hit-and-miss with Lancer.

(Not that I don't fully expect Aseyu to make attempts regardless, mind you)

By the way, I think I'm waiting on either Chortleous or Killer Clowns (or both?) at the notice board.

Hi I will post soon but I'm also waiting for Strix and also I'm currently having a spiritual awakening after seeing Across The Spiderverse (basically it's really good please see it).

ALSO I've been thinking about how two years ago I said Adventure would be the last thread I would be in and yet I'm still here 2023, lol.

Ah, I see now where a response from at least Toni would be warranted (missed that), but I don't want to double-post. Could maybe amend the last one but it's already running a bit long...

...on the subject of Joseph's weird new friends, I have a feeling that James and Amandus would not like Ultra. She's like the shadiest person imaginable and Henry basically just heard 'detective' and recruited her to try and fix Joseph. Optics.

Typing away, bit by bit. Still functioning under a strange sleep schedule I haven't quite adjusted to. Very lethargic. Head in a weird space, not one particularly conducive to writing.

Don't get me started... I figure this may be my last as well. Something has changed in the world or on the internet, and the vigor that got these things going at a decent pace has thinned out. I couldn't say why exactly... but that won't stop me from blaming social media.

Still, I'm here for the long haul as far as Adventure II is concerned. And I reserve the right to change my mind in all sorts of ill-advised ways.

Sorry for the delays in Adventure II. Had a bout of impetigo in my dominant hand for the past two weeks which has really slowed down my ability to type. I shall try to post something tonight or tomorrow.

EDIT: Having realized that the CDT sandbox included a description of the necropolis, I edited one of my previous posts to clarify that the characters are currently on the outskirts of the necropolis.

Sorry that my posts are getting shorter and shorter; been in a creative funk for a while.

For those who need some sort of pictorial reference, I did a mock-up of the jabanji from the necropolis.

I was trying to go for something along the lines of "ReDead from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time but gelatinous". but Hero Forge doesn't really have any gelatinous settings, so it ended up being more muscular than I intended. I do think it accomplishes the goal of scaring the crap out of people, though.

Cool! Thar reminds me, I'll have to do some more creature brainstorming myself once the Keyquay Island plot gets going. It certainly won't be large crabs.
