Like, a sincere laugh. It would be kind of unsettling.
Alice, believe it or not, is having a grand old time. Sure, she's underestimated Ultra, and is now accounting for that, but she likes having a Worthy Opponent who can operate logically and isn't easily swayed by Alice's erratic nature and bizarre asides. That's why she's ultimately decided to be helpful... sort of.

I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't. Certainly not without knowing the source of his feelings, which Joseph himself doesn't even consciously understand. I could see him reaching something of a breakthrough if pushed, but it's likely going to get worse before it gets better.

It's a shame the empathetic psychic ended up halfway across the map. You're stuck with 'stop crying and get up' Ultra.
(...I say that, but I don't know how good Lancer would even be at playing therapist for a bunch of people she doesn't know.)

Sorry again for the wait, unfortunately it's probably going to be like this for the next few weeks. So much is stacked at the end of the semester. Even when I do have time, I'm usually too spent or caught in dreadful anticipation to write.
I suppose the psychic part probably makes it a moot point, but there's also Joseph himself likely not being receptive to spilling his guts in front of a complete stranger. The only reason he's coming on so strong with James and Amandus is due to the parental role they've assumed (born of a very brief incident in a previous thread). Ironically, Joseph is kind of drawing on that assumed role even as he rejects it.

Darn, missed that when I was writing for Toni there... unless Henry, other!Joseph et al are going outside soon too, in which case Ultra would probably follow and they'd meet then. Then you guys will have an awkward, potentially hostile situation to try and navigate.
