She's got a bruise under her eye.
Well, well, well. I think we've found Duane's creator. Or at least a Collector of the Strange.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.He wants to dissect Sette. I don't like this guy.
Are those scratches on her face?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Looks like it. An upstanding fellow, her da.
At least he said he would put her back together again. Strangely, that seems kinder than what her father does,
Also, I wonder if some of those marks on her face mightn't be dirt.... she's not the cleanest thing on two legs afterall.
I kinda like that dude.
Likes many underrated webcomicsGuess who I found: A prequel of sorts.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Yeah, she mentioned on her FAQ page that some of these characters had shown up on DA beforehand. She says it should be considered concept art rather than canon.
Yeah, that comic is awesome, but it's not a prequel. If anything it would be a sequel, set in the far far future. It's based on the characters from RP though, and a lot of those story-lines have changed.

^^RP? Is this one of her roleplay characters?
"Don't I look the type?[for charity]" NOPE.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Yup. Bastion, Duane, and Sette were among main characters in our (I was a member of the group Ashley played in) RP. She had created them prior to RP for the first version of her comic (this thing has been in gestation for like 10 years) but she used RP to refine them etc. She also had some characters that won't appear for a while, plus Quigley and Matty (but the two of them were so different then as to be completely different characters).
Incredible. Feel like adding some of that to its page?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Stuff about the history of how the comic came about you mean?
Yes. Prehistory (the RP you just described) and genesis. You don't have to,but what are tropers if not desiring of extra detail?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. Most of the stuff from the RP would be either irrelevant to the comic, or way too spoilery. I'll see what I can add to the page though. Maybe I'll add a trope entry too while I'm at it.

Well, gee, thanks for confirming that one for us.
I'm hesitant to say anything on this matter. This is a thorny issue, and somehow I doubt it would make us look good if we go around spoiling details before they even really show up in the work.
All I can say is that I recommend thumping your post.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I erased my question just to be safe, but the author said as much in the comments for that same page:
"'Legality'? I would never let issues of legality effect what I draw. Sette looks the way she looks because that's how she's supposed to look."
I confirmed with the author that she meant that to confirm the fact, and that it wasn't a spoiler. It's been revealed in the work cause Sette's been shown naked. Or at least I thought that was sufficient. As I said, I am new here and will defer to your judgement.
I'll point out that saying "Legal issues are not the reason I'm doing X" still leaves plenty of possible non-story related reasons to do X.
Welcome to TV Tropes, where that level of analysis is considered a minimum requirement.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I didn't catch the spoiler, but let me see if I can guess.
Sette is a magical construct/Artificial Human and the lack of nipples and bellybutton are indicative of that. Am I right?
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.I just asked is it really anime anatomy when sette actually has no nipples to show. I asked Ashley first if she considered it a spoiler and she said no, because she had already shown as much in the comic. Basically I was trying to ask about the appropriateness of having that trope listed on the page.

Oh, didn't notice the lack of belly button. Yeah, THAT one just can't be Anime Anatomy.
Edit: Oh, and I just noticed: Even the dummy's eyes were drawn in a way to direct attention to Sette's first rock painting.
Edit2: And making him look up was not merely for the Oh, Crap! factor, but for bypassing the helmet. D'oh!
