@Kspam: Stein's Gate essentially suffers from Unlimited blade works/Bioshock syndrome, where the climax happens quite some time before the actual conclusion, and everything between then and the series end is basically just the show floundering around tying up all the loose ends. Also, there' this big portion between episode 13 and 22 where everything is in "Uber depressing mode", which can be quite jarring considering Hououin's Kyouma original whacky attitude. But at the end of it, when you watch that final few episodes where everything goes to town and everything falls neatly into place, you can't help but feel "Yes, this is worth it."
It also helps than the "Floundering around tying up all the loose ends" portion of the show is nowhere near as irritating as bioshock's version, especially since the loose ends are at least interesting to unravel.
TL:DR Version: Watch it till the end. It's worth it.
ALL HAIL THE WARGERBIL!pretty funny OVA
This OVA was godtier. Manliest confession scene short of the one in Clannad's finale.
iM@S archive of materials.I was going to ramble here but what you said captures my warm fuzzy feelings well enough. XD
I'm going to try and look for a gif of that scene with Mayushii sleeptalking. So cute. :0
iM@S archive of materials.Episode 7 - What just happened?
Okay, I'm glad enough that they even mentioned the memory effect, but it still bothers me how Kyouma can be unaffected by time changes.
Not that I really understand how they're trying to explain "world lines", but according to my theory, the only thing from the old timeline that you should have is the information/person from the other timeline which caused the future to change and then only because it was present before the divergence point.
I suppose I can explain away the version of You Already Changed the Past used in this series by assuming we are sharing Kyouma's perspective of time.
...
And then we get to Episode 8: Kyouma is insane.
Such a pointless change so far back into the past? Chaos theory dictates he could have ended up anywhere! He could have radically altered his own life! He is so lucky it looks the same.
Episode 9: Oh well at least it seems like he didn't understand the butterfly- Oh wait, he's doing it again. And fully aware of what he could be getting into.
Episode 10: Strange how even the butterfly effect seems bent around their group. But it's lampshaded, so I can't complain. Wow.
And Ruka's a girl? I don't even know what to think now.
Not that this is a traditional Harem but it's good Kyouma has a numbering system for his harem members... Well, if you discount Daru, anyway.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialTatum sounds like he's having the time of his life.
I'm super excited for this~
My body is ready.
My body is even more ready.
Tatum sounds like he's having the time of his life.
Just about the entire cast has been more hyped up for this than usual for an anime they can finally talk about, it seems. I'll definitely be checking it out...though Tatum (who is also writing the script along with Patrick...again), Trina, and Brina were the clinchers anyway. :)
Oh yes, absolutely. This seems like a show they're really gonna love, the nerds.

Just got finished with this series. Holy !@#$ was I impressed. Is Chaos Head anything like this?
From what I've heard, no. /secondhand info
Robotics Notes may be worth a watch, but of course it doesn't air until the fall season.
But Steins Gate is really good, save for one or two mechanics issues which to be fair are completely overshadowed by all the amount of problems it avoids.
Holy !@#$ was Chaos;Head crap.
Anyone have any recommendations for other series that are at all like Steins;Gate or the like? I just finished Mirai Nikki before watching it.
Steins;Gate is pretty unique. The cell phone usage and conversation-heavy dramedy reminded me of Bakemonogatari but obviously the story is very different.
While the breath's in his mouth, he must bear without fail, / In the Name of the Empress, the Overland Mail. The dramedy element wasn't really what pulled me in. It was more the time travel element.
Have you seen The Tatami Galaxy? It has a bit of a "Groundhog Day" Loop going on too.
In terms of Time Travel there's The Girl Who Lept Through Time ( Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo). But then I didn't like it, and perhaps it's more about relationships in the end.
Natsuiro No Sunadokei... I haven't seen.
In terms of a VN adaptation that an economist (=P) might appreciate perhaps Koi To Senkyo To Chocolate. Though I'm not sure how good it will ultimately turn out to be.
I even wonder if I'll enjoy the movie as much as steins gate itself though. Isn't it unlikely to contain any time travel elements? Like that somewhat average OVA.

Girl who lept through time was pretty good I guess. I saw it with my dad when he was still alive.
Well, I'll just have to recommend you watch Disappearance again. Everyone should watch The Haruhi movie again.
Once is enough, thanks :P
I'm reading the manga, Steins;Gate - Boukan no Rebellion. It seems pretty good. Worth a read I'd say.
Starts off a little slow and somehow the bits of the future we get to see are both not very detailed at all and enough to ruin my imagined dystopia, however the pace seems to be picking up now that I'm up to the bit where she travels back to 2010 and it'll be interesting to see things from Suzuha's point of view that the series proper covered. "Kyouma's" appearance is certainly a highlight.
Small cast update — Faris will be played by Jad Saxton (Eve in Baccano, Perrine in Strike Witches, Karin in Shangri La). Nya~:3
Finish it. Things basically keep getting better through the series until the last episode, which is basically adequate.
