Something that seems kind of off to me is that the opening descriptor as well as some of the examples added by now banned troper antvisma (spelling?) and other tropers, seem to assume that the majority of people think that autistic=sociopathic. I'm not sure where they got that idea. See the Discussion page for conversation about the weirdness of that. Can't really speak to the accuracy of it, but the page somewhat goes for the opposite extreme to argue that autistics are Always Lawful Good and this kind of affects the examples, which are often "characters liked by/identified with" by autistic tropers and the degree which they reflect well or badly on autistics.

I'm not sure how to put this, but like Ambiguously Gay is kind of a combination of authoral presentation and audience reaction; Ambiguously Jewish is more about audience reaction, but it sometimes accounts for the background of the creator of the work. I'm not sure where Ambiguously Autistic fits in with these, nor the criteria it uses.

I say we cut it entirely. It is page we don't need. While we are at it, the useful notes page on aspergers needs a good old going over to get rid of the soap-boxing on how aspies are just misunderstood poor souls. Another antvasima page.

I removed a bunch of crap from the description. The trope is about kooky characters. Not autism.
