Season 1 is 22 episodes and has already aired 11. I’m not sure why you’d think there wouldn’t be a break between seasons. That’s...what makes them seasons.
Whoa, I wasn't expecting the season to happen during TFA (and what looks like parts of TLJ).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.IIRC it was confirmed before premiere that by the end the season would be concurrent with TFA. And well, it only needs to go two seconds after TFA to line up with TLJ.
Also, nice! I haven't been able to watch anything after the pilot thus far due to school, but I've still got some time left in break to catch up before AC 7, semester, and KH 3 consume my time.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheySo I just finished binging Rebels Season 4 and thus am a bit late to the party to finishing the series as a whole. I just wanna know, how would you all rank the seasons? For me, Season 2 is still on top. The focus on Vader as that Seasons Big Bad was just sweet, especially with Ahsoka also in the mix. And the two-part finale on Malachor with Darth Maul, Kanan losing his sight, Ahsoka's apparent death at the hands of Vader, Ezra going down a darker path, these were easily the best episodes in the entire series. Season 3 and 4 come next, sharing a place. Honestly, I couldn't decide. They both have strong episodes, Thrawn was executed very well, the cameos from Palpatine, Maul and Kenobi were great and the respective season finales were not too shabby either. But they both also had some lengths, so honestly I can't decide which one is better, they were both very good. Season 1 comes last, by a fairly large margin. It wasn't bad, but back then the series still had much room for improvement, similar to how TCW became gradually better with each season.

Kaz was far more competent than usual. He was resourceful, never did anything completely idiotic and he actually seems to be making progress as a mechanic.
Okay, so I'm sure Tora is working for the First Order now.
The way she suddenly and conspicuously brings up everyone going to the tower the moment she sees Synara, then makes sure to give them all easy access back in now with her code?
With the pirate kidnapping revealed to be a First Order setup, it's very conspicuous that it could never have happened without Tora allowing it to happen.
Not to mention the fact the way her immediate reaction to Kaz' appearance to rescue her is shock, not relief.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So it sounds like Resistance is pretty good, at least on par with Rebels?
It's decent. It's the same as Rebels' first season where the series is noncommittal and more focused on light character stories for now, but like Rebels' first season it seems to have a big upheaval -> dive straight into serious plot coming up, which the groundwork is being laid for now.
Very much so.

Is it just me or are all the black characters introduced in the current EU Imperials / First Order, former Imperials / First Order, or Imperial / First Order sympathizers?
Rae Sloane, Tam, Ciena Ree and Not! Rae Sloane from Rebels all even have the same basic design.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I was about to ask about that woman from A New Dawn, but remembered that was just Sloane again. :P
On a more serious note, there’s a handful of minor Resistance members. And Yeager. Val too. Probably a couple others.
Either way, it’s a far sight better than the original trilogy where you could say “No, both of them were affiliated with Cloud City.” :P

Ah, yeah. Yeager. Duh. Literally a major character in the same series I was just watching. Brain fart, achieved.
The way there's so many (visual) Rae Sloane clones is still a little weird, though.

Zare Leonis.

Lego has revealed two Resistance sets (so far) at Toy Fair this weekend. Major Vonreg's TIE Fighter, and the Black Ace.
I haven't gotten around to the show yet (or most of Rebels; I need to get on this, honestly), but I love the racer designs, so I'm excited to see more of the ships make their way into Lego form, particularly the Blue Ace. That one is a must-buy for me.
I'm really glad we're getting backstory for Starkiller base. We're learning stuff about it, like here where we see their practice attempts at coring planetoids.
Hmm. Were there any extras in Maz' bar on Takodana that resembled Aunt Zee or Hype? This is all supposed to be happening right before TFA, right?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Nope. I can say that for sure, as I've scoured that scene looking for Gwellis Bagnoro (he can't be seen in the film, as far as I can tell).
Also, the only pre-existing aliens in Episode VII are a Wookiee, a Mon Calamari, and a Sullustan; all named characters. And a quick Wookieepedia check shows that Aunt Z is the first member of her species we've seen.
Hasbro just accidentally revealed that Commander Pyre and Kylo Ren will have a presence at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. They listed a parks-exclusive action figure four-pack featuring the characters (along with a First Order Mouse Droid, and a "Mountain Trooper," which seems to be new for the park).
"This is so crazy it just might work!"
"Or it's so crazy it's crazy!"
I liked this one. The one where he rescues the kids might be my favorite overall so far, but I loved the escalation here - that good ol' Filoni midpoint.
I've been very much enjoying Tam's slow but obvious march towards a Face–Heel Turn, too.
Also, Agent Tierney. Like, "Tyranny." Lol. Not quite as on the nose as "Savage Oppress" or "Darth Sidious," but it's up there.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Tam was never my favorite character due to her unpleasant personality but the fact she's a First Order sympathiser really made me dislike her, the fact that she tried to justify the eradication the kids village directly to them made it worse. I imagine if the Republic/Resistance did something like that she'd condemn them to hell and back.
With the newest episode I am thinking the Colossus is a customized Imperial Star Destroyer.
And we have now officially caught up with The Force Awakens.

Nice. Do we know how many episodes this season will have? I'm wondering how many weeks we have left before the break between seasons, assuming there is one.
