Xenoblade is a really big game- You can't fit it on a formatted 4GB micro SD even if it's all by itself, apparently.
... Hopefully, things will finally wind down enough for me to get back to my own copy soon. Apologies to everyone who was keeping up with me playing it.
I sure said that! You will be forgiven if you accept Reyn Time as your one and only savior.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I wish I had a glorious name like that.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!x4: My copy of the game is a physical one, so space on the SD card shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Anyway, I bought a 16GB MicroSD card, installed it into the New 3DS, and my System Transfer from my old 3DS is now in progress. When it said "This may take a while", they weren't kidding. The whole process has basically taken up the entire afternoon I'd been planning to spend playing the game. At this rate, I might have to skip my weekly trip to the comic book shop to play Magic: The Gathering.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.my pc just came back with an upgraded gpu and ram
i finally got to play xenoblade at 3x native resolution
looks purdy
and no slowdown! yay
and now i dont have to feel guilty about pirating it because i did pay for the game, nintendo just never actually gave it to me.
I've just gotten started. The combat in this game is very MMO-like.
And wow, that's a lot of sidequests! I'm still not past the "exploring the starting town" part yet, and I've already gotten so many.
Also, it's still early in my run and the plot hasn't really kicked into gear yet. I just reached the part where I gained control of Fiora for the first time.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Don't worry too much about the side quests. You can complete most of them while going to places for the main quest. Just watch out for any side quest that has a little clock next to it since those will be lost to you after a certain point.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!As a matter of fact, trying to go for all of the sidequests in your first go is a surefire way to get really, really tired of the game really fast.
Moon◊Yep. By the way, try to talk to as many nameless questgivers since those tend to be the grindiest quests and the ones you want to get done in the middle of exploring.
Also, it's not really well-explained in the game but you can often get items for quests via trading. You'll have to look up a guide for who gives what though.
Yeah. Doing all the sidequests ASAP means you end up really overlevelled.
Heart of StoneExactly. You should do some sidequests, but don't try to do all of them if it's your first playthrough.
really i think its up to you whether or not you want to do all the sidequests but i do suggest keeping your options open
by which i mean, at the very least prioritizing any timed quests (ones with clock icons next to em) so that if at the endgame you decide to finish all the quests, you havent already missed them.
huh. i just noticed the telethia flying around the bionis head in the opening cutscene. neat.

Accept sidequests whenever you can, but don't go out of your way to do them yet. You'll naturally complete many of them just exploring new areas and fighting enemies.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! To some extent, you might even want to ignore hunting for landmarks, considering the progress along the skill trees doesn't leak to later-recruited party members.
I sure said that!I just made my way through Tephera Cave. That big unique Caterpile took me several tries to beat. Toward the end of one of my tries, a tutorial on Chain Attacks popped up, but it didn't say anything about how to activate them.
Anyway, I made it through that ordeal, and I'm now at the story-based savepoint where the hometown is apparently about to meet its doom.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever. To activate chain attacks, highlight your talent art and then scroll up or down. You can also access other tactics like fleeing from battle or pestering distant enemies into battle.
And be wary of Uniques. Cellar Bugworm is pretty benign compared to some of the other ones you can find. Especially in Bionis Leg.

I have just taken up the Monado and repelled the Mechon attack ... but at such a cost.
On the other hand, you'd think Mechons' invulnerability to conventional attacks when not afflicted by Break would make them frustrating to fight, but I found taking them on pretty fun after having steamrolled every enemy up till then (except that Unique I mentioned earlier).
And then there was Metal Face, who needs to be under Break to damage, even with the Monado. I'm assuming future Mechon bosses will have that same restriction, am I right?
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Up until a certain point, yes; however, there's only one other Mechon boss between where you're at now and when that point comes up, if I remember correctly.
Icon by Civvi the Civilian! And of course, Shulk starts out with Monado Enchant, so even that resitriction isn't all that rough.
I sure said that! You'll want to aim at Toppling most things anyway, since Toppled foes can't attack. I think Reyn's Wild Down is the only Topple ability you have for a while?
Heart of StoneWell, Monado Enchant doesn't help with Faced Mechon. Only Break+Topple works on Faced Mechon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! There's also one thing I've been wondering about since I gained the ability to change who the party leader is. Are there any times when I'd want to be directly controlling someone other than Shulk?

I might have to hold off on starting my adventure for a while, it seems. I'm going to need a bigger microSD card than the one the New 3DS came with to transfer everything I have saved onto my old 3DS, because my downloaded copy of Bravely Default takes up a freaking huge about of space. I upgraded the SD card in my old 3DS just for that game, and I never even finished it. So it'll be at least another day until I can actually get started.
