Oh yes this is promising.
Also, during the trailer I was waiting for the Guardsman to call them Angels. He did not disappoint.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I was not expecting a sequel. Hopefully, this one is a bit bigger. The corridor-style fighting of the last one was fun but I would it to open up a bit more.
Who watches the watchmen?Interesting to note the developer this time is Saber Interactive instead of Relic.
A necessary change from the looks of it especially due to the whole Dawn of War III debacle and its most likely the same for Space Marine that the original staff who made the first game are prolly no longer involved at Relic.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What else has Saber done?
Here's their page.

Huh their last major project was the World War Z game. They also doing the Evil Dead game.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The World War Z game was pretty solid. Maybe that's why they picked the Tyranids for this game, so they could keep using their fuckhuge-horde technology.
Well I'll be. I was watching the trailer and thinking "Huh. Warhammer 40 K. Wonder what this will be. Strategy game I'm guessing... huh. Ultramarines. Might be... that Ultramarine game I played getting a sequel... huh it's that guy right?"
Yeah, I don't have much knowledge of the lore of 40 K or Warhammer in general. I played Space Marine I years ago because it was included on PS Plus. I thought it was neat. I know this game has a really strong fanbase though, so I might go back and give it another go. Maybe I'll think it's even cooler. And with current tech they could do something really special.
And what I do know of Warhammer lore is cool. Speaking of, Warhammer fans eating well, for both sides of the franchise are getting large profile vidya games.
I guess I could just watch ITEHASTTD. Is that the acronym?
All hail Cegorach the Laughing God.
I think just TTS is the popular acronym.
...for obvious reasons.
i got "Text to Speech" mixed up with "Speech to Text" I must now commit Sudoku -
oh no, that series got in trouble with Games Workshop didn't it?
It's really hypocritical for GW to do that considering how much WH pulls from other sources. Let people be creative you curs!
It's not that TTS specifically got in trouble with GW, it's that GW said fan animations are forbidden, period, presumably in an exceedingly misguided and foolish effort to prop up their official ones. TTS's creators put it on indefinite hiatus to avoid getting in trouble.

Trans rights are human rights. No, I mean, people prefer just TTS because that's three letters to type instead of remembering the first letter of nine words.

Which is why alot of people, myself included, have started boycotting various Games Workshop products as a result.
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.Huh with this being announced, Chaos Gate 2 coming out soon, and Darktide by the Vermintide devs, it’s a pretty good time for 40k video games.
Of course GW is a piece of shit but what can ya do.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah. My excitement for all of these games is still dampened by GW's attitude towards fan animation.
On that note Steam is having a sale for Space Marine 1 for 15 dollars to last until the 13th.
They also have a 185 dollar pack of Warhammer games discounted to 46 dollars.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Gameplay-ish trailer. Really more of a teaser, though I guess many of the shots in it could be gameplay.

Been replaced by Blank Weak.
But yeah, the quick cuts on that footage is making me antsy. HOW BIG ARE THOSE SWARMS GONNA BE!?
At least this big
Oh, there's parries and stuff now :o
Good. Not being able to block Nob attacks from the original game was always annoying for me.
Also Titus is getting an official model with a board game instead of just that Sternguard Veteran model which totally looks like him.

Tabletop game based on a video game based on a tabletop game huh.
"Money is money." -Geedubs
Ah, recursive game design.
At least it's not a videogame based on a movie based on a videogame.
Disgusted, but not surprisedReminder that this game is sequel of sorts to the first Space Marine game.
Really hope we get that plot thread they had planned where Titus ends up creating his own Chapter..
Sanity is the Lie, there is only Madness.
