The Hatedom page has degenerated - or always was - into a haven for whining about people not liking what you like, fundamentally missing the point of an anti-fandom: it needs to have some level of cohesion and self-identification.

There are some good examples of hatedoms on the page: anti-Shurtugal was the Anti-Eragon hatedom until it shut down, containing essays and even "fan"fiction on ways it could be done right; that blog dedicated to hating on Comic Sans is a perfect example of a non-work hatedom; and www.danielcraigisnotbond.com really shows a level of organization necessary for the "I just don't like it" examples. There needs to be that level of organization and self-awareness. Citing such sites would make this page more useful and much smaller.

As an example I used on the discussion page for what isn't a hatedom is Nickelback. If people commonly bash Nickelback but don't have websites and blogs dedicated to dissecting their lyrics, parodying them, and such, they don't have a hatedom, just random, unconnected individuals that hate them for being rather bad musicians.

I am not. Shows gather some massive and vocal hatedoms. Its nice to know the what and why for them.

Keep the Hatedom Website examples (Since they already identify themselves as actual groups) and get rid of any that aren't organized Hatedoms, since by those standards everything has Hatedom (And because those examples tend to contain the actual whining).

A Hatedom example should be based on an actual established, organized Hatedom (Preferably with as little whining as possible). It should not just describe "Everyone who does not like the show."

Any work can have a Hatedom. Adding examples is completely useless, including Hatedom-focused websites because, as mentioned, any work can have a hatedom. The page should get a complete Example Sectionectomy. "No examples please. This only defines the term." If the work in question really has a vocal enough hatedom that they deserve to be mentioned, it can go on the work's YMMV page, or mentioned in the work's description.

Agreed. Hatedom is another troll/flame war magnet. It's just begging for "Every fandom ever" to be added and argued over, ad nauseam. In a sense, hatedom is exactly what TV Tropes is not about. It's the opposite of our mission.

The only Hatedom websites I see with a work page aren't primarily hatedom websites... So yeah. I thought there would be something salvageable, but I guess I'm wrong there.

And... There is an Encyclopedia Dramatica link. Ugh.
