probably also a wight?
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.What were wights again?
Uber powerful white-color spirits IIRC. They can eat any and all colors of energy.

Update, Extra Large edition!
Yay, ghost train to the rescue!
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.Spender, you dork.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Update. Catching up.
Are we supposed to recognize that description?
Don't think so, probably going to be some backstory reveal deets.
I should really start reading these because I've been kinda waiting comic to return to normal format,(there was that other webcomic that turned to fiction with picture format and I didn't read that one as often anymore, but I really like this one x'D) but don't get feeling that is happening any time soon
Yeah, I think this is definitely the norm, at least for now. Probably a lot better for Zack's wrist.
Yeah, I assume this is just something that Spender and Jean know, and clearly something intense.
Yeah no, waiting out it pointless. This is most likely how Paranatural is going to stay for the rest of its run.
A wight that bit Jean?
And yeah, I'd give up waiting. As someone who was super bummed at first, there's a good number of pictures and the writing is really good.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Still not entirely sure if that Wight's the one inside Spender present-day. It would seem likely but there's so much we don't know.
Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.This went from exactly what I expected to something I hadn't seen coming real quick there. I wonder just what's up there, and if Spender has heard it; it definitely casts this page and the one after it in a new light.
Mostly does better things now. Key word mostly. Writes things, but you'll never find them. Or you can ask.re: your observation: iiiinteresting.
Also, we've reached that bottom scene from the chapter cover!
From Zack's twitter:
Ah... and Spencer's Start of Darkness, or at least to him closing himself off behind a facade of cheerful casual happiness.
... I don't know what to think of Ángel. I really get the impression that he is, maybe unintentionally, punishing Isabel for having his father's love (or at least his attention).
The impression I get of him is that he's making a conscious and visible effort to not be like his father. He's a man who definitely isn't harmless trying very hard to seem harmless, but not doing a particularly good job of it.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."And Ángel gets more complicated... To a degree, I approve of him giving Eightfold in a way that doesn't look like he's trying to buy Isabel's love... but he's also avoiding showing that he cares, which I think he does (some part of me still wants to brand him as treating her as a pawn in the fight with his father, but that might just be me being overly suspicious). And, of course, Spender gains one more burden, a straw on his back.

A straw on his back indeed. It's not a particularly weighty secret, but it's a secret nonetheless.
Ángel isn't attempting to buy his daughter's love, and probably does think that this is what's best for her, but also, he does come across like he's mainly doing it to spite his father. And serious festering wound underneath affected detachment, is what I'm getting.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."
