I think they severely overstrained themselves in the past, and so now have to be extra careful for fear of uh, screwing up their recovery, but I could be reading too much into it.
In any case, drawing is definitely the issue, not a casualty of some other thing.

Yeah, artists and messed up wrists is serious problem. There are actually comic artists who have managed to ruin their wrist permanently iirc
Due to the wrist problem, there won't be a comic today. Zach is pretty certain there'll be a comic on friday, though.
