I like Gorillaz, though I think their most recent album isn't as good as the others.
A brighter future for a darker age.I just had a nerdgasm.

The best song to sample the Inspector Gadget theme is "The Show".
This is fact.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I've been listening to a lot of The Prodigy lately. God they're fantastic.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my petsMy musical taste used to be all over the map, but these days I've settled into a classic rock mold. However, I've been digging deeper for the good bits (as opposed to the stuff that gets played ad infinitum on classic rock radio). In this I discovered Spooky Tooth and Mountain recently, which are both awesome.
Mostly I just keep buying classic rock as I find it, because most modern music does exactly nothing for me.
As far as nostalgia...well, I was a Goth back in the day and still love my goth rock. Sisters Of Mercy and Concrete Blonde (though Concrete Blonde isn't really goth, its what goths I knew listened to so I lump it in there), as well as (for some reason) Oingo Boingo. They make me think 90s, leather, fishnet and lax morals. I can't hear CB's "Bloodletting" or Sisters of Mercy's "Lucretia My Reflection" without wanting a clove cig and a glass of Whidbey's. As well as a set of boobies to lick said Whidbey's off of.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~So does anyone know any good underground electronic groups?
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my pets@Ivy: What is wrong with dubstep?
Mumble mumble mumble.
I have no clue what that means here.
It means hey look over there
Over where?
I am sorry, it is late and I am tired/stupid.
I know Spooky Tooth because J Dilla sampled them.
I've been meaning to look into them.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....@Spain: Do it. "Waitin' For the Wind" is a song just waiting to be used for a Bad Ass hero's intro music. Well shit, here...
Spooky Tooth did some good stuff. I also like Free.
Loving the drums on the Spooky Tooth track.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....@Spain: Awesome, are they not?
@Imipolex: That was a good song. I shall have to dig deeper into Free. They sound a lot like Bad Company, which shouldn't be a surprise as both bands share a lead singer.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Currently listening to Its Blitz and wondering why I've never listened to them before.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my pets@Drunk: Concrete Blonde were awesome. The Sisters of Mercy were wonderful. Note that I say 'were' even though they still exist and tour. Andrew Harvey Taylor aka Andy Eldritch is a major-league jerk who ruined his own career and chances of prolonged success and is, these days, engaged in the cynical business of seeing how much contempt for his fans he can show and still have them pay to go see him.
A brighter future for a darker age.The Smashing Pumpkins have been releasing a new album, and I must say, it's very good. You should all check it out.
Underneath the bridge The tarp has sprung a leak And the animals I've trapped have all become my pets@Morven: you can officially gain some cool points for knowing of Concrete Blonde. And yes, Eldritch is an upper-case douche-twat who needs a good spanking. He's probably half the reason that Goth-rock is a dead genre, as goths have gone looking for musicians that display slightly less contempt for them.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Drunk: That they are.
Also I have never heard of this twattish sounding man. Who is he?
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Floodland by Sisters of Mercy is a great album. It's the only thing I've heard from them, though. Or from the goth genre as a whole.
no one will notice that I changed this
List of favorites- The Velvet Underground, The Beatles, The Who, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, The Kinks, most mid 60s British Invasion/Garage Rock (see The Nuggets box set), all the Phil Spector produced girl groups, Motown, Honey Cone, The Rotary Connection, Betty Davis, and a whole lot of 70s soul/pop. Much of my music collection isnt very artist-heavy but features a lot of singles and sounds of different eras.
Emperor Wu liked cake, but not exploding cake!
