It isn't just Shouko. She's just has more of her screentime doing such things than the other girls.

Hey now Himeji's food is 100% unintentional and the most lethal out of the bunch.... If Yoshi spoke up and said it sucks the food would go away... he does it to himself.

Minami is just the standard Pettanko Tsundere act and really is cute IMO. (Yoshi also does it to himself almost it every time.)

Shouko however.... Yandere HARD.

I guess this is why I've felt a bit of an aversion to stuff like this lately.

None of it feels genuinely funny anymore.

This series just dosen't seem funny to me.

We are polar opposites.

For me, that's what made Shouko and Yuji so lovable as a pairing...in fact, it's such a great pair that all their friends even tried to ship them together in some episodes!

If you want a western equivalent, there's a genderflipped variation where a french skunk pursues a black cat who always finds a way to get a white stripe on herself, making herself look like a skunk.

The idea is pretty much the same, the male skunk always holds the female cat tightly while trying to kiss her, and the cat is visibly horrified and tries to breakfree every episode.

And when they were trying to Ship Yuji and Shouko Together, Yuji was far from accepting it.

I didn't think so.

This might be a comedy, but sometimes there are lines that are crossed that are just too much.

2. Yuuji is shown several times to recipricate Shouko's feelings. Naturally though, he's turned off by her heavy-handed methods to keep his attention on her.
3. Agreed, you can't write everything off as "comedic" and expect a free pass.

Well...do realize that she's gouged his eyes several times throughout the series, so working under the assumption that they grow back every episode, I wouldn't mind that too much.

It's her own way of showing her affection.

Besides, she breaks into your house to greet you when you wake up with breakfeast prepared every morning!
