I just hope it's more than "generic FPS with mech HUD".
Jonah FalconIt's been a long time since I've been into these mecha pilot sims, but if I get a new PC by the time this comes out I'm definitely checking it out.
PS: The lead dev interviews horribly.

Worshipper of Ahura Mazda, as proclaimed by Zoroadster http://twitter.com/bpglobalprGood sign. Means they didn't get their job through talk.
Fight smart, not fair.Dr Evil! I have some news.
First two interviews:
- Aiming for 2012 launch.
- Will be playable at E3.
- 3 mech classes - Light, Medium, and Heavy - right now they only have 2 done (light and medium). (The wide thing is a medium, then taller-looking thing is a light. I like 'em both, though)
- 6 primary weapons (constant firing), 3 secondary weapons (slow weapons).
- Bunch of items; leftest counter in the HUD is actually "cash" that you spend on items (such as turrets and apparently many other kinds of items).
- Ultra-minor RPG element allowing you to spec up your unit with up to 3 points during the game.
- Fan requests got them thinking of a third-person mode. DO NOT WANT.

Worshipper of Ahura Mazda, as proclaimed by Zoroadster http://twitter.com/bpglobalprOk, I'll play it at E3 and give you my two cents.

Worshipper of Ahura Mazda, as proclaimed by Zoroadster http://twitter.com/bpglobalprSorry to double post. They won't have a public playtest, I don't think, but they'll certainly be demo-ing it for G4TV.

Played it. It's cool, nothing earthshattering. Funny, tho.
Jonah Falcon^Funny? In what way?
The most important question: Does it make you feel like you are piloting a Humongous Mecha? Because that is the main measure of a mecha game.
I love how this game is looking. I'm curious how much it's going to cost, though, and what delivery method they'll be using.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.^Planned to be one of those indie downloadable games, so I would expect around 15-20 bucks on release. He seemed confident about the PC as a platform so I wouldn't be surprised if they're working to get it on Steam.

The Blood God's design consultant.I knew this to be true, but now, with that comparison to Wo T....it all comes full circle.

So much want. I'm a huge fan of Armored Core, so this seems very relevant to my interests.
