Are you mad they aren't releasing games one after the other constantly?

I do miss the time when SEGA was more than just Yakuza and Sonic.

Its more how Sega hasn't focused on any of its other IP's at all besides Sonic (and Yakuza recently)

That said, that seems to be changing; all of their older games are getting remasters, with a notable absence of Sonic.

they want to spend more time in the game to make it good.

Granted time isn't a guaranteed that it be good but the point stands, besides there's other Sonic material in the meantime.

I am actually currently watching that video.

Situation got pretty crazy, they also printed “Nice tits hoe” posters with Rouge & hanged them in the girls bathroom which apparently drove the girls into a furious witch hunt.

And on the second attempt at spreading the posters, the girls actually tore down all the bathroom stalls & even barricaded them.

....it sounds like it got out of control.

I mean, like seriously out of control, and someone should have stopped it.

Sonic 2 is such a great game....until you get to Metropolis Zone. and beyond

At least Sky Chase is a breather.

It doesn't stop Wing Fortress from being dogshit. The fucking speed booster that sends you into a bottomless pit has given me trust issues. I tried to play it in one sitting and goddamn it.

Sky Chase sucks lol. Wing Fortress is way better. Sky Chase is one of my least favorite Sonic zones, up there with End Of The World, Eggmanland, and Marble Zone.

While much of Sonic 2's sense of speed is so well done it patches up the holes in the somewhat lacking exploration and platforming, Wing Fortress is definitely where its lack of polish in the latter two areas really shows.

Honestly its remarkable how much it, Sky Chase, and Metropolis are not only flawed, but all for largely different reasons.

Also, fuck the Death Egg Robot. Worst final boss in the damn franchise.

Yea, Metropolis Zone and onward is really where the game's problems start to show and it's SO aggravating. The majority of the game is great, but man does it kick when you're down later on...

I notice this thing with classic Final bosses that they don't give you any rings to make it fair lol.

And there's also that Silver Sonic miniboss. It does not help that you fight it and the death egg robot with no rings whatsoever.

I never liked Wing Fortress just because it's Platform Hell in a game that really wasn't designed for it.

"Hey, don't you wanna fight a final boss with weird hitboxes and tons of hurtboxes, on no rings whatsoever so you have to trial and error the whole thing to figure out how the damn thing even works - hope you have enough lives! And it's a gauntlet, too! Have fun!"

My first ever use of debug mode was simply to give myself rings during that fight.

Silver Sonic is fine. He should've been the final boss by himself; he's rather simple and has easy to learn patterns. None of the other classic Sonic boss fights are as bad as the Death Egg Robot; 1's has predictable patterns, CD gives you rings, as does 3&K.

I remember losing all my lives AND continues to the Death Egg Robot. I...panicked when he showed up in GHZ in Mania. XD

game was so fucking dicks that I didn't even know what the final boss looked like for so long. Sonic 2 is the reason I learned debug and level select, cuz fucking doing that game in one sitting...

I have yet to ever get all of the Chaos Emeralds as a result of this.

Final bosses in general might be one of the biggest weakness of almost all the Genesis era games. Sonic 1's is okayish, Sonic 2's feels unfair, CD's just seems like a regular boss, Spinball's is tedious, and while creative 3D Blast just isn't exciting.

3 & Knuckles stands out a heck of a lot for managing arguably 3-4 strong bosses depending on what you're playing (Big Arm, Mecha Sonic, Great Eggman Robo, & Doomsday Robotnik).
