Live and Learn. I love how for a while it sort of became the unofficial Sonic theme song, and I'd like to hear it again in a new game.
IMO what i'm made of outclasses live n learn in every way possible
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!">:C
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaKnight of the Wind I think is the best one Crush 40's done. Live and Learn is the best out of those two though.

Oissu! What I'm Made Of. No contest. Straight rock-out from start to finish.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Who I'm made all of the Wind...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I just listened to a whole bunch of Crush 40 songs in a row because of this thread. It had been a long time since I actually listened to them, and you know what? I forgot just how good they really are.
I'd glad they're back for Team Sonic Racing, but I hope they start making songs for mainline Sonic games again.

What I'm Made of... Live and Learn...
...honestly I can't pick.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!WHAT! I'M! MADE! OF! NOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniOpen Your Heart is right up there as well. As a kid, nothing screamed so hard that Sonic was entering the modern age as that CG intro and guitars shredding up your TV speakers.
Yeah, I'd put Open Your Heart over Live and Learn too.
That intro to the Perfect Chaos fight still gives me chills.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I'm gonna go with "What I'm Made Of".
I think my order would be What I'm made of > Live and Learn > Open Your Heart, though they're all top tier sonic songs. I also like their cover of ungravitify, even if I prefer the original slightly more.
Honestly cheesy as some of them are, I kind of find myself appreciating the vocal songs in Sonic, because they are at least memorable and have character. It's kind of like Persona and how despite some of the songs being Engrishy nonsense they're still catchy and fun to listen too while adding some charm to the game.
My favorite 10 sonic vocal songs
- What I'm Made Of
- Live and Learn
- Open Your Heart
- Supporting Me
- Unawakening Float
- Sonic Boom (Ending)
- Ungravitify(either version)
- With me
- Metal Sonic image song, it doesn't have an actual title as far as I know.
- Back In Time
Fly Into Freedom, City Escape, Let the Speed Mend It, It Doesn't Matter(original) and For True Story are probably my runners up. Oh and This Machine.
That said I wasn't too fond of Forces' vocal tracks too much. Mainly because I don't like the EDM direction a lot of the songs used.
UGH I can't believe the same guys that gave us the classic escape from the city gave us We Can. I think We Can is one of my most disliked sonic songs ever.

I actually think We Can is kind of adorably cheesy and I like it. Not as much as Team Chaotix's theme but still not bad.
We Can is probably the best song since Thriller...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie."It Doesn't Matter" and "Escape From the City" are definitely better songs, but "We Can" falls straight into Narm Charm territory for me. I think I might like it more than "Sonic Heroes", which, while still an enjoyable song, borders on Word Salad Lyrics.
For me we can is TOO narmy to where it becomes just corny and cringey instead.
Though I suppose the cash cash remixes of super sonic racing and escape from the city are my actual least liked vocal songs.
We Can is the best thing since WW lll...
Or less extreme, the best thing since Bohemian Rhapsody...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Indeed.
Well:
- 10) Escape from the City - the most memorable Sonic song ever.
- 9) What I'm Made Of - What - I'm - maaaade of.
- 8) Back In Time/Work it Out - I do miss the choir-like music Sonic used to have. That's a part of the 90's I really miss.
- 7) Can You Feel The Sunshine - enough said.
- 6) Knight of the Wind - the most epic Sonic song ever.
- 5) I Am All Of Me - the most badass opening Sonic for a Sonic game ever.
- 4) Sonic Boom - used to listen to this over and over again on the Mega Collection.
- 3) Reach for the Stars - the only part of Sonic Colors I like.
- 2) Endless Possibility - lots of energy from this one
- 1) Fly In The Freedom - Rouge - I swear this character did not deserve to have such a fantastic, jazzy tune, total Ensemble Dark Horse here - its a shame it only plays in Rouge's first cutscene and her final fight with Knuckles - I was so shocked when I first heard it on Youtube i was like "where was this song in the game?"
Runner-up:
- My Sweet Passion - Sonic Adventure 2 had some DIRTY freaking lyrics whoever was on the sound team for that game needs to be rehired.
- Unknown from ME - Knuckles, the unofficial black character of the franchise
- Aquatic Mine - scariest stage in a Sonic game ever

...why would it be?
I'd make a list but I love all of the vocal songs too much to actually make a list. I'm really bad at listing favorites anyway.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Seconding Fly In The Freedom being fantastic. I'm a big fan of Fertile Ground, and that style of soul jazz was clearly an inspiration for that and all of Rouge's music in general.
Sonic's always had a lot of jazz, soul, funk and disco references in its music in general, though it's mostly rock these days (not that there's anything wrong with that).
