Can't wait.
And man I'm anxious for more The Bad Guys stuff. And totally not because I'm simping for Mr. Wolf.
BTW Shrek 2 is coming back to theaters for its 20th anniversary this year, and I'm gonna see that. You know what that means, right?

So this was posted under the Kung Fu Panda thread. It’s a tweet summarizing an interview with a crew member on the fourth film.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Just the fact that Mike Mitchell wanted to introduce humans and live-action ones no less really tells you a lot.
Honestly, my big concern is that the short runtime mandate universal had on the Mario movie apparently applies to DreamWorks as well… not to mention the TV department being downsized and Mitchell’s bizarre handling of the story.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. What would the downsizing of dreamworks tv department mean for any dreamworks tv shows. I mean they air there stuff throw different channels, amazon, peacock, Netflix.
Sincerely S Awatching.More outsourcing, I think? Fewer shows?
Also, the runtime mandate went into effect after Ruby Gillman and Mario, it seems.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Someone brought up Shrek in this thread, but I wanted to add my two cents.
The thing that bothered me so much about the fourth movie is how Shrek was basically timed when it came to getting a true love's kiss. There's no way this movie is realistic, because there's no way someone can fall in love with you in less than 24 hours. I mean I still love the movie, but still...
…It’s a fairy tale parody that goes to an alternate universe. I don’t see it as something to take seriously.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I get it. I'm just saying. What's funny is that I remember when this movie came out (I was 17) and I remember people complaining about the scene in which Shrek badgered Fiona for a kiss. People claimed that it came off as sexual harassment (and honestly I don't blame them).
And that was the point, because that Fiona doesn't feel anything at him. It's a good wake up call to him too but it also shows how he truly love her in letting her be herself at the end.
Apparently, Dream Works is still having massive cuts in-house, and the union isn't doing anything about it. On top of that, the higher ups are pushing the animators to finish The Wild Robot for 3-5 weeks so they can go to siggraph and annecy to show it because the world loved the trailer.
Here's the tweet, but you can check more on the Reddit link below. https://twitter.com/americanwombat/status/1768079631025090878

I am utterly heartbroken by this…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Oh geez, genuinely awful sounding news. If Wild Robot winds up looking rushed in some areas, I guess we know why..
That's a really horrible response for TWR's audience reaction.
If you read that thread further it really paints a grim picture of the animation/VFX industry. Something’s gotta give.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Bumping with a Cartoon Brew Article: DreamWorks is reaffirming that it will be cutting back its workforce - less through layoffs, more through not renewing contracts. Moral is not good…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.BTW that Bollywood movie is as good as dead.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Hasn't it been dead? I thought it got canned before the company got bought out by NBCUniversal

Seems the plan is to ousource most of the animation work to Canada going foward to save money.
And everyone had such high hopes for a Dreamworks renaissance after The Last Wish.
This website called the Movie DB is saying they have the cast for the Wild Robot: Lupita Nyong'o is apparently the lead:
