Personally, I think it might be too good. it was just my one roll of four that was bad.

That looks a good amount better, just be careful with where you place that 4.

I read that charisma was a common dump stat.

I think that might be because most D&D games are combat based. Still, it depends on what kinda of character you want to make. Depending on that, Strength might become your dump stat.

A 4 in strength? haha I'd be able to carry 40 pounds of equipment without being encumbered!

watch me be a halfling and put my 4 in strength! XD

I'm just saying that anything can be a dump stat depending on your needs. That said, this is going to be stealth-oriented, so some stats won't be as useful as others if you take that into account.

Yeah. Like, Charisma would probably be good here- you might be able to smooth-talk your way to the Baron, for example.

I haven't really gotten to work on my character yet. Sorry. I'll be able to tomorrow. I've been really busy...

I'm sure that'll be fine, I'm the only one that's posted a character yet. Are we posting in colour here too?

In any case, feedback would be appreciated if you could.

Also, I'm still not entirely sure about how magic works yet. How does offensive touch spells work, exactly?

I've posted mine too :<

You can post in colour here if you want.

Touch Attacks: Some attacks disregard armor, including shields and natural armor. For example, a wizard's touch with a shocking grasp spell hurts you regardless of what armor you're wearing or how thick your skin happens to be. In these cases, the attacker makes a touch attack roll (either ranged or melee). When you are the target of a touch attack, your AC doesnt include any armor bonus, shield bonus, or natural armor bonus. All other modifiers, such as your size modifier, Dexterity modifier, and deflection bonus (if any) apply normally.

You posted yours right after I posted that.

In any case, so what kind of roll would it be anyways? Just a D20 + Base Attack Bonus and that's it? It seems kinda difficult to hit with that...

Easier than it would be if they kept their bonuses to AC :/

That's all you have most of the time anyway -_-

I was just thinking, melee attacks get the Strength bonus to the attack, ranged attacks get a Dexterity bonus, but magical touch attacks don't seem to get anything. So if your opponent isn't expecting an attack and is thus flat-footed, and you don't have any BAS, then you have little more than 50% of hitting with a touch attack.

...My assassination strategy just seems so much less reliable now.

Just popping in to say: even touch attacks produced by magic rely on Strength bonus or Dexterity bonus to hit. Thus, d20 + BAB + Str or Dex (depending on whether it's melee or ranged) to hit, not just d20 + BAB.

touch attacks do bypass armor though, so it is ABIT easier to hit targets, as all they can hope for is a dexterity and magic bonus.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.
