IIRC, this was done deliberately because the actual Forbes 500 lists individuals by wealth, then alphabetically. However, for all practicul purposes all fictional uberwealthy people are infinitely wealthy so it was just done alphabetically.
But I agree, it's gotten out of control, and it is time for a cleanup discussion.

I suggested this before, and I still stand by it. I would like to just list the show names, then the character, and then split by media as the usual format for tropes.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. Is the proposal to do it like the other tropes (i.e.:
- In The Addams Family, Gomez...
- From Futurama:
- Philip J Fry ...
- "Mom", owner of Mom's Friendly Robot Company: ...
- The Wong Family: ...
) or something else?

Yes, exactly like that.
Well, maybe with folders.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Definitely needs to get reorganized. I know I have avoided putting a few examples on here (such as Petey, from the page quote) because I'm not sure where they'd go, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
It looks like we've got a consensus with the posts so far; should we do a crowner?
I don't think we need one; it's unanimous, and we have several votes. What we really need is volunteers to do the cleanup work.
Rhymes with "Protracted."I can work on it tomorrow.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I went ahead and reorganized the example section. Let me know if it needs further tweaking.
Wow, that looks much better. Great work.
Rhymes with "Protracted."It does look much better. Thank you. I'm going to lock this thread up.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
The examples on this page are listed alphabetically by character name. I don't know why. And it's not working very well. It's encouraging potholing character names to works, which I tried to clean up and got about halfway through, but it's still bad. It's not sorted by medium, so all the anime and fanfiction examples are mixed in with live-action and western animation and such, which I know some people don't like (myself included). It's led to duplicate entries, with the same work listed twice in different places because it contains two examples.
In short, we need to re-sort this by media. Anyone interested in helping out?
