Halis: "Ohhh, why would you do that..."

They sigh, and hop over the counter, applying a potion and a small bandage to the wound.

Halis: "Kindly don't hurt yourself like that in the future, please, it makes me worried for your safety. That being said, Gible, huh? Interesting."

They do a backflip back onto the other side of the counter, readjusting their scarf promptly after.

Halis: "Alright, let me know when you're all done messing around by coming over here, there's a formality we need to get out of the way before you can leave. Don't worry, it's nothing too serious, but it is important."

They fry the String Shot with lightning and ignore the Hypnosis entirely, but the wind combined with the Wood Hammer and the other attacks forces them to block and get pushed back a bit before they can crush the Protect barrier, the Chesnaught's blow and the glowing blade clashing against one-another in particular.

Halis: "G-ghh... ok, fine, we get it, strength in numbers, but I'm still standing!"

They feign pushing back against the blow before ducking back and leaping over the group, crashing down and sending a shockwave through the ground with the sheer force of the impact... though, they do try to raise the blade out of the ground afterwards and it gets stuck.

Halis: "...Oh, come on, not now with this..."

Viridian

Archer: They'll be fiiiiiiine with that. Come on.

-He and Buford lead Alexa to the airship-

Jared: You did it! And wow, you're a Gible. I got Noibat.

-Coil nyooms off after, perhaps with someone else riding behind him-

-Medea, as a Lampent, emerges from Halis, shadow-

-She shifts to human and promptly jams a certain multicolored dagger into Halis' side-

Ersatz Alliance, Past

Fuka undoes the transformation, adjusts the bandage to fit her now human finger, and hands the armband back to Halis

Fuka: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare anyone, but it was important. I had to kkow if that's what would happen. Now that I do, (Fuka sighs) the armbands probably won't be able to do what I was hoping they could. (she shakes her head, but when she looks up she seems a little more upbeat) Gible actually makes a lot of sense for me. My mom named me after Gible; "Fukamaru", to be exact. Plus my dad's Garchomp, Sammi, was practically my nanny when I was little. There's this whole story where my mom went into labor with me and Sammi got her to the hospital at mach speed.

Me: I'll be honest, Kim... I'm in the same boat. I mean, I don't know if there are many unspoken rules about Monese... But I do understand what my friends are saying and how I can help them.

Piku-chan: <Nice to meet you, Paul.>

Kim: “Well, then... if there aren’t any real unspoken rules of the language yet...” (she smirks) “I think this means that either we need to find out what they are ourselves or talk to other people.”

Warehouse

A bright orange light enveloped Roy before he threw himself at Halis, hoping to undo the enchantment while Helmsman followed up, attempting to deck Halis' sword hard enough to shatter it.

Sunny created a flurry of feathers around herself and Roy before Roy dashed back to her, both falling with hands grabbing the other's after they fell face-first.

Colton's wings extended to avoid the shockwave, everyone else having fallen face-first to it.

With Halis having been incapacitated by their sword being stuck, he threw his arms forward to grab them by the sides of the head; an ungodly roar coming from his throat as he did.

If it would have connected, The [Void] within would be cut loose, free to drain the very life from them... within reason.

The Stormchaser

Kim: (smirks) “Think?”

(She holds up the notebook, a grin spreading across her face.)

Kim: “Oh, I know we’ll find somebody. Should we start searching?”

Macraulloween, the appropriate Lumiose

The skulk of technicolor umbreon heads out to the city, following Logan's lead.

Lamarck: The city appears to have returned to normal. I wonder how the young master is doing.

Meanwhile, somewhere closer to the brewing battle but still largely far from it, Gaspard looks on, looking for a way into the fray without drawing himself or his team into a tactical disadvantage.

Haeckel: <You okay sir?>

Gaspard: Well, at least the city's back to the way it was. Think mother and father will be too upset if they find out I've tried to assist my cousins' rescuers if they happened to be J-Teamers?

And in some dank corner of the city, Jonathan calls up Jean.

Jonathan, on the phone: Okay, chief, you would not believe what just happened today. Hey, Murphy, did you catch anything on video?

Murphy: ...maybe.

King Industries, 26th Floor

-An array of sun symbols form, floating in a circle around Nightingale's arm-

Lucian Macraul: I don't have anything! Unless you want me to possess their body or something I don't have any of the superpowers you guys have!

Veritas: No questions? Man, what am I supposed to monlogue abou- Wait hold on what's that knife for-

-There is a storm of energy, harmless visual affects as the attacks but especially the knife make contact. And some of those visuals burst from Veritas' hand as the remaining segment of the sword glyph vanishes-

Veritas: M'scuse!? How did!? How in the nine realms did you know to bring a hard Fate counter!?

-She glares from behind the barrier of the ritual circles-

Veritas: No matter. I'm sure none of you are familiar with the magic that protects me.

-Monopeko has gotten bored and hopped off Lucian's shoulder to go investigate Pent's bag off to the side outside the circles-

Halis: "A...AaaaAAAAAAAHH!!"

The sword doesn't break, being a hard-light construct, but it does turn off, Halis being drained of any will to fight by the onslaught of attacks, not to mention the Command Spell having been stolen.

Halis: "...T-this... I can't... I..."

They fall over, not unconscious but clearly in a fair amount of pain. They're also crying a bit.

Warehouse

Reining in his insticts, Colton jumped back, gazing at his hands and feeling at the face that had drained Halis. My god, he realized, looking down at the crying fae who was no longer geased. He leaned against the wall before sliding down, wishing he could feel the beast within cease to be as soon as he could, aware that he had been the one to let him run free in the first place.

Roy looked at his trainer, seeing the remorse in his solid-white eyes. They nodded to each other.

A quill from Roy struck Colton in the chest before he dashed off to Halis, healing them both.

Correct Warehouse

-Kaiiseii and Jessica nod in approval.-

-Shaun, Isbrand, and Elizabeth shake their heads and focus on their foes.-

Shaun: "You think we're not familiar with magic?"

Isbrand: "Coward."

-Kaiiseii laughs haughtily and cuts a red portal into the air, disappeaing inside.-

Elizabeth: "All walls fall, should they be sieged long enough."

-Her wings unfurl and she rises into the air, lightning crackling down her body.-

Aurabolts

-A spectral grin appears over Phantom's mask as he looks over at Suiko.-

Phantom: "Feel free to try out whatever tricks you two got, if ol' Nightingale needs help back there."

-Spectre emerges from his chest and sticks her head out the back of the truck.-

Hai Valley

-The Beowolves Howl and bolster their stength.-

-Fenrir Howls back in opposition, daring them to attack.-

-Misaki swings her arm out and launches the capture disk.-

-The Manetric is rushed by two Bewolves with simple Tackles, dodging the first and leaving a Thunderbolt in his wake.-

-Misaki thrusts her glasses up her nose and begins Capturing a Beowolf, almost dancing as she draws the aura circle tighter.-

Me: Yeah, let's start looking! C'mon, Piku-chan!

Piku-chan: <Alright!>

-Piku-chan jumps onto my shoulder-

Me: I believe you should lead the way, Kim.

-Ian watches Halis collapse from the myriad attacks-

Me: Are you okay, Halis?

Kim: “I believe I will.” (She turns to Paul) “Come on, Paul. Let’s go see if we can’t find any rules regarding the Monese language.”

(They promptly go off, with Ian following them from behind.)

Kim: “Hello? Anyone here?”

Viridian City

Alexa nodded and followed along. "Tsuki, get back here!"

Tsuki (Buneary) nodded and wriggled out of Bewear's grasp. It hopped over to Alexa's side.

Ersatz Alliance

Jared: Yeah, it's usually something... Fitting. Oh! Try letting one of your Pokemon out! You should be able to understand them now.

Macrauloween

Medea: -grins- Halis, you work for us now. Not her.

-The stolen Command Seal dissapears-

Oh dear, you seem unhappy about me taking away one of your toys, Veritas.

Stormchaser

-Alexa, Archer, and their Pokemon arrive here-

-Notably the Stormchaser is Bigger on the Inside and has a lot of branching hallways and doors-

Archer: Hmmm... Now to find you.

Halis: "...I-i'm fine. Just... let me sit here a minute so I can readjust. M-my head hurts..."

They continue laying down, sighing.

Halis: "Is it strange t-to say that... I felt more like a w-weapon than a person for a moment? Maybe I'm just being stupid..."

They're still talking very quietly, and it's clear they're shaken from all of this, physically and mentally.

Halis: "Yes, try that, you might find the results to be both interesting and helpful."

They resume reading the book that they've had for a while. It's not clear if it's some sort of instruction manual or a novel, though.

"Will you shut up?!" A voice hollered from behind a door, opening up to a blue-haired someone with glasses in front of his piercing red eyes. "People are trying to sleep!"

Lumiose Warehouse

Roy knelt down beside Halis, attempting to pick them up and take them out of harm's way as best he can.

Everyone else turned to look at Veritas with murder in their eyes and weapons in their hands, if they had them. Save for Colton, who hurt worse from hurting Halis than from the quill Roy threw at him.

(Upon seeing... whoever this mysterious person is, Paul instantly flinches back, and Kim holds up her notebook, slightly embarrassed.)

Paul: <S-sorry about that...>

Kim: (with slight embarrassment) "My sincerest apologies. I hope I haven't made a bad first impression. Kimberly Bond, lingual consultant. This is my Butterfree, Paul. I'm currently on a trek to learn about any unspoken rules regarding the Monese language and..." (she pauses, looking up at him) "...who are you, exactly? I'll need a name."

-Ian jumps back slightly, and then straightens out his cap-

"Curtis," he said, stepping out from the door to show that he had a navy blue jacket with a white button-up and a light blue pair of pants.

Why he slept in those clothes was anyone's guess. "Curtis Shunner."

"Curtis, the hell?!" A voice hollered.

"Sorry, Delilah!" He apologized as he closed the door after reaching in and grabbing a can of lemonade.

"It's fine," he told Ian, placing his free hand on his shoulder. "I was speaking for everyone else, since I can't sleep."
