Drifloon: (currently trying to free himself from a Tentacool that has grabbed onto one of his legs and is trying to pull him down) <Hey, quit it!>

Male Meowstic: (watching the Drifloon) <Should we help him?>

Female Meowstic: (shakes head) <Not yet. I want to see if he can solve the problem on his own.>

-Sarah's stomach rumbles-

Sarah: ...Food sounds good right now, yeah. You know anywhere good?

-Samantha is looking down, concerned, at the shiny Purrloin-

Samantha: I'm still not sure what to call you...

"Uh, well... I'm not exactly savvy on restaurant chains and the like. I guess we could just look around for a good place?" he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

-Zeal and Gui are in a public room in the Pokémon Center, probably away from other people at a table with Zeal's laptop and Iulianus's tablet in front of them. Some of Zeal's mons are nearby.-

Gui: So what did you find out?

Zeal: Can't you read my mind?

Gui: W-well yeah, but it's more fun to have you summarize!

-She grins. Zeal tilts his head.-

Zeal: Right... Well, something new about Boatman. His name—Jonathan Byrne, that is—appears in the Kanjoh Hall of Fame.

Gui: Oh, wow.

Zeal: Yeah. He miiight be even more dangerous than we thought. The only mon he's used against us from the team recorded here is that Scizor.

-Gui shudders at the memory.-

Gui: D... do you think he Shadowed the rest of them?

Zeal: I... I don't know. He could have. That's worst-case scenario, but it's completely possible.

-He pauses.-

...Maybe likely, even. Ach. Okay, note to self, hide if he attacks again, that's worked so far. Sort of. But I shouldn't even consider attempting to battle him fairly.

Gui: Yeah, no kidding... What about the others who are still around?

Zeal: Effigy and Choice, right? Nothing new on them. Iulianus underestimated them, but they haven't made any moves since Orre. Hopefully they're out of the picture.

-He glances back at the tablet.-

...But what Iulianus said about Choice here is a bit weird.

Gui: Oh?

Zeal: He put together profiles with what he knew about the history of all the Octet members, aside from Wound and Traitor. And with Choice... he's got nothing. He couldn't find anything about his past, his real identity, anything. It's like the guy just appeared out of nowhere one day.

Gui: That is weird. ...Why didn't Wound and Traitor have profiles, again?

Zeal: Iulianus and Wound were friends growing up, he didn't need to look into his past. The most he did was express annoyance that Wound didn't take nearly enough research notes, making a lot of his experiments difficult to repeat.

Gui: Oh. Makes sense, I guess... and Traitor?

Zeal: I'd assumed something similar as with Wound before, but... well, with Silvio showing up at the old mansion, I looked more into it. Traitor's his cousin, apparently. Which means Silvio is, too. And there's a third Salvai sibling I know nothing about.

Gui: Huh...

Zeal: Yeah... I really hope we see Dr. Kraus again soon, so I can ask him to help clear all this up.

-Gui nods. Zeal tilts his head.-

Zeal: Are you all right? You're acting the way you do when... Oh.

-He stands up.-

You can't read my mind right now, can you?

-Gui shakes her head.-

Zeal: And you haven't been sleeping lately... Are you still having flashbacks to that feeling you got around Silvio?

-Gui nods. Zeal hugs her.-

Zeal: I didn't notice, I'm so sorry.

Gui: Um...

-Zeal lets go.-

Zeal: Sorry.

Gui: No, it's fine. ...Thanks.

Lilycove City

-Savannah and Addie have arrived in Lilycove and are walking around.-

Addie: For such a big city, it's always been weird to me that there's no Gym here.

Savannah: Well, there's the Contest Hall...

Addie: That's true. Have you ever been in a Contest?

-Dane is in a meeting with Gereon. As usual, Dane has a glass of water on the desk in front of them. They're discussing matters related to the rental business when there's a knock at the door.-

-Crispin enters glances at Gereon, and shuts the door behind him.-

Crispin: Pris called.

Gereon: No "sorry t' in'errup'"?

Crispin: Unnecessary. You're in on this too, Gereon.

-He looks at Dane. Dane finishes taking a sip of water and nods.-

Dane: Go on.

Crispin: Anima intends to go through with the test you suggested.

-Dane laughs.-

Dane: She's finally come around, eh? Wonderful, wonderful. Did she name a target?

Crispin: She didn't. But it's Roman Villiard.

Dane: ...I see. I can't say I'll miss him.

-He takes another sip. Crispin turns to Gereon.-

Crispin: You'll be needed in Mossdeep soon.

Gereon: ...Righ'.

-Crispin nods at both of them.-

Crispin: Good luck.

-He exits the room, shutting the door behind him.-

Yes, what happened to it, did Constantin manage to fish it off my broken corpse with the Orb or did my mons manage to spirit it away from him before that happened? Not like he would've known how to use the Orb if he did, I was smart enough not to write down exactly how you use it.
