-The Kingdom of the Volcarona's known for a couple things... Giant moths that can burn their way through most would-be conquerers. An environment that'll turn the toughest outsider armies into buffets for us locals. And mons that'll give even the best trained soldiers a run for their money... For the Queen...-

-A Zoroark is cleaning the jaws of a Krokorok-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Hurry up, furball!">

<Goon!Zoroark: "Well gee, if you don't like the pace, why don't you clean your own jaws?">

-And for a price, for whoever needs our help. Resistances, armies, it doesn't matter, whoever wants us and can make a convincing argument, and not just with words either. You could say that merc work's got a bit of a history where I'm from. It's a great way to gain some experience, to get some decent pay, or heck, just to see the world. There's always been a couple of rules about it though, if you come back, you've got to start from the bottom all over again, and the court's allowed to judge your service outside...

If they find out about what you've been up to-

<Goon!Zoroark: "I can't believe that you desert hicks are seriously considered good fighters! You can't even take care of your own mouths!">

<Goon!Krokorok: "Yeah, yeah, just shut up already.">

-Naturally, accepting this gig was risky... I mean, Scolipede and Liepard were enemies of the Queen after all. But the pay was good... The sort of pay that makes even vets in the Queen's service stop and weigh things over. And the assignment was off in some faraway land, so it's not like I'd be turning against the mons I lived alongside with, right? It would be a quick tour, I'd get some experience... Maybe a couple feet and red hide out of it, some items to help me reclimb the totem pole back home a little faster. Sure some of the others said it seemed kinda fishy, but as long as I made it back and kept my mouth shut about it afterwards, I'd be set, right?-

-Staring at the stars, in a wistful tone-

<Goon!Grotle: "(*sigh*) ... Someday...">

-Flash forward 10 months, and here I am, still a Krokorok, with no pay, and stuck here with a bunch of dimwits that somehow didn't get themselves killed with their horrid tactics, some weepy homesick mons, and a bunch of jerks who think they're hot stuff just because they can throw a decent hit-

<Goon!Zoroark: "Ew... What is this crap?">

<Goon!Krokorok: "Look, I don't ask you about your eating habits, alright?">

-Normally, being stuck in an alternate universe is supposed to at least give you the closure that you're away from everything you know... But as it would turn out, fate just out and out hates me, apparently-

Johto Safari Zone - A Couple Months Earlier

-A certain Krokorok is following a Yanma-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Why am I doing this again?">

<Goon!Yanma: "I'm telling you, I found some great berry bushes! If we hurry, we'll get there before-">

-And flies into the wing of a certain Volcarona-

<Goon!Yanma: "OW!">

<Celestia: "Hmm? Who's- Oh! Are you alright?">

-Awed-

<Goon!Yanma: "... Whoa... Y-You're... Big...">

-Visibly Startled-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Th-That's- A-And- Y-You're-">

-Thinking-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Calm down, calm down. That can't possibly be the queen, she's out in-">

-From a nearby branch-

<Crowley: "Hey Celestia, who are dose dweebs down dere? 'Dey look like 'dey just got ran over or something!">

-Thinking-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Oh dear Arceus.">

<Goon!Krokorok: "(*gulp*) C-Celestia?">

<Celestia: "Yes, that is me... And just who are you two? I know you're with the strangers who came a couple weeks ago, why haven't you been talking more?">

<Goon!Yanma: "Er... I guess we could talk a bit... I'm-">

-Shivering-

-Thinking-

<Goon!Krokorok: "D-Do s-something! A-Anything!">

<Goon!Krokorok: "Q-QUEEN CELESTIA! I-I-I CAN E-EXPLAIN!">

<Celestia: "... Um... I've never seen you before in my life...">

-Calming a bit-

-Thinking-

<Goon!Krokorok: "... She isn't in Unova- But- And-">

-Stammering-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Y-You h-haven't? I mean, of course not! I've never s-seen you before! And I didn't wind up working as a mercenary for- EEP!">

-From the branch-

<Crowley: "Hey, lizard boy, we knew that you and your friends were nuts and all, but seriously, get a hold of yourself! Or don't if you don't feel like it. 'Dis is kinda entertaining!">

-Doing the insectoid equivalent of an eye roll, annoyed at the delusional pair before her-

<Celestia: "I see, and just who did you leave my kingdom to serve?">

-Thinking-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Oh Arceus, tell her something! Make something up!">

<Goon!Krokorok: "I... I... I was with-">

<Goon!Yanma: "Uh... We were in Scolipede and Liepard's army. And why is he calling you a queen anyways?">

<Goon!Krokorok: "Oh fu-">

-And the Krokorok starts to cower in fear-

<Goon!Krokorok: "Pl-Please, h-have m-mercy, my queen... M-Make wh-whatever y-you're gonna d-do f-fast...">

<Goon!Yanma: "Uh... What's going on?">

<Celestia: "Crowley, is this your doing?">

<Crowley: "I didn't lift a feather, Celestia. 'Dat's all 'dem.">

-To the quivering Krokorok-

<Celestia: "(*blink*) Ahem... Well, I mean, since you so desire judgement...">

<Goon!Krokorok: "N-No! M-My Q-Queen! PL-PLEASE! I d-don't de-desire it! I d-don't- Urk...">

Hoenn Safari Zone

-... Yeah, not exactly my finest moment there. >_< She said that her judgement was that she banished me and the others I was with from her presence. I took that to mean "Get everyone far, far away from me." Considering how I was expecting to become an ash heap, I guess it worked out for the best. And what do you know? Here we are, stuck back in Hoenn-

-Finishing up cleaning the Krokorok's jaws-

<Goon!Zoroark: "I'm keeping a record. Remember that.">

<Goon!Krokorok: "Whatever.">

-And gets up-

-I guess I'm at a bit of a loss as to where to go now... I mean, it sounds like the Kingdom of the Volcarona might not even exist in this universe... So a fat lot that'll do me for finding work... ... Not sure if I want to take my chances with a human... And everyone else here apparently thinks we're all a little nuts... Except for those two humans we ran into a few months ago... Including that guy who informed us that we were kinda royally lost... After beating the tar out of us. They said that they'd be looking for a way for us to head back to our own universe if we felt like it...

I don't know if I want to take them up on it or not... But I've got a feeling that we haven't seen the last of them-

-Oh, so this is what this thing does... It's a minor consolation... I guess. Urgh... I can't believe that Tracer seriously stuck me with this. I'm out here on some island, no electricity, no heat, no real bed. I mean, I like helping you research too and I know that I wanted to better understand how mons like me lived in the wild, but it would be nice if you could at least tell me how long this was going to last!-

<Audrey: "... Can you feel us?">

<∀☀: "Yeah, we can feel you. Assuming that you're the group of under-educated saps that we can feel.">

-It is at this point that the door is broken down and a very irate Salamence bursts in-

-And is cut off by seeing Riana playing with Toothless-

-Preparing a Thunder Wave in case Nadia cannot be calmed-

<Sonny: "Yes, some other mons like your igrushka, da? And you were asleep!">

<Riana: "Dove!">

<Courtney: "Mmm hmm hmm... You really do assume the worst out of us, don't you?">

<Nadia: "... You could have asked, you know!">

-To Riana-

<Toothless: "... Think you can send me back? We'll meet up again tomorrow if you want, alright?">

<Riana: "Pidove!">

-And pulls Toothless over to Nadia's feet-

<Sonny: "We have a ptenets to raise, alright? So leave us be!">

<Nadia: "... Fine. But I'm watching you two...">

-To Courtney-

<Nadia: "Especially you.">

-After leaving-

<Riana: "(*yawn*)">

<Sonny: "Hmm... She should probably sleep... I can't help but think that she's sleeping a bit much though...">

-And the three depart-

-Blugh, well that didn't go as planned... But whatever. There's more important things in this world...
