Nidoran — <...But only the teachers can use many attacks. It must be awesome then! :3 Or it could be the Nidorino that left... > — turns to the Nidorina and makes a gesture to her — <You'd have to ask Aunt... you are not gonna try to capture her, right?>

-The Nidorina stands up and walks closer, while the Nidorino under the tree eyes the two, trying to look as amicable as he can while nomming a berry-

Jemma: <Myaaawn.> *cuddles against Rascal's neck fur, laying on his back* <How long are we going to stay on this island, mya? I'm bored of it already, mya.>

Rascal: <Just be patient. Rex is meeting up with all of his friends...and hopefully not infecting them with that Charizard virus.>

Jemma: *flails her tiny limbs* <But I'm bored, mya! Entertain me with stories. :3> *bats at her tail*

Rascal: *sighs and lays on his stomach* <Urgh...fine.>

Jemma: <   Make it interesting! :3   >

Rascal: *grumbles* <Well, I suppose I could tell you about how Rex started on his journey.>

Jemma: <Does it involve a cute Skitty? :3>

Rascal: <...No.>

Jemma: <Myawww.>

~Flashback smoke~

~Goldenrod City, last year~

Faith: And be sure to call everyday. And make sure you don't hang around any dark forests. And always remember to feed your Pokemon.

Rex: *nods* I will.

Faith: *hugs* And try to talk to make some friends, okay?

Rex: *hugs back* ...yeah.

Faith: *kisses his forehead* Have fun on your journey.

Rex: *looks a little embarrassed* M-mom! Not in front of Rascal!

Rascal: *Eevee* <Hehe, I saw~>

Faith: *smiles and kisses Rascal's forehead too*

Rascal: <3

Faith: Now go on. You won't get to Azalea Town by just standing around here.

Rex: Okay. I'll see you later, mom! *gives her a hug and heads out* Just wait, Rascal, we're going to catch a bunch of friends for you!

Rascal: *yips excitedly*

~Half an hour later on Route 34~

Abra: *teleports away from the Pokeball spinning towards it* <lolnope>

Rex: ... ... ...ABRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Rascal: *covers his ears with his paws* U_U

-The Poliwrath is moving around, trying to avoid leaving his backside unprotected against the surrounding mirrors; then turns around and lands a Dynamic Punch against the nearest ice mirror, breaking it-

♨č▒⢫╠␣☣ł₤舸▟ — {do... not try... do...}

-The Nidorino grabs with his muzzle the shoulderbone emerged from its limb and imbues it in a strange, Psychic-like energy. Then, he sends the [bone] swirling and flying towards the Poliwrath, who feels the attack incoming and hops away to offhand backhand the bone-

Poliwrath — <Now I see where yoAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!>

-Poliwrath feels an intense pain in his leg and looks down to see that the Nidorino has somehow teleported right besides him and thurst its horn into his leg. As the attacker hops back, leaving an open wound, the bone flies to an ice [mirror] and gets stucks on it-

Poliwrath — <ugh What... what did ugh you... > — kneels.

-The Nidorino then circles the Poliwrath, kicks him over, and starts charging the same power he used against the Graveler-

-At that very second, the Glitch's skin acquired a greenish tone, and he let out a growl, not unlike that of the creature it was modeling after, but more guttural, vicious, and in a language not pertaining to the Master's letters. The Poliwrath started glowing with that energy too, screeching in pain as its life energy was forcefully extracted from its body and condensed into a green bubble that flew towards the Glitch to be [Absorb]ed by the creature, along with some of the muscular strength traits of the Fighting-type-

Poliwrath — <Aaaah... what is... aaahhh... T-Trainer... I can't...> — collapses, panting, trying to get up.

-The Nidorino steps in, to notice now that it can move his body easily now, the great strength absorbed from the Poliwrath complementing the hardiness and weight absorbed from the Graveler. It blinks, then calmly paces around exploring the new possibilities of its body-

♨č▒⢫╠␣☣ł₤舸▟ — {... is this...?}

-The Nidorino raises a paw towards the mirror where the bone is stuck, causing the bone to melt into the ice shape and both objects to shine with Water-type light before all the ice mirrors melt and become bubbles that return to the body of the Nidorino. Then, the Nidorino walks to the fallen Poliwrath-

Poliwrath — <...what kind of... freakish... abo-abomina...>

♨č▒⢫╠␣☣ł₤舸▟ — {"Abomination"... no... such poor of understanding...}

-The Nidorino then raises a paw, that condenses the same Ice-type energy that the Poliwrath was capable of. In just a moment, the Nidorino's paw is wrapped by a large amount of Ice-type energy.-

♨č▒⢫╠␣☣ł₤舸▟ — {"Nature"...}

Poliwrath — <...who... who are... you...>

-The Nidorino seems troubled by the question; it stares at its own paw, then looks around, as if trying to look somewhere else for the answer to that question. That time the Poliwrath takes to try and charge a last attack; however, before he can, the Nidorino seems to realize its own body and returns its sight to Poliwrath, casting a Leer that ends up the work of breaking the fighting mon's spirit-

♨č▒⢫╠␣☣ł₤舸▟ — {...Name... "Vinollo".}

-The Nidorino then Ice Punches the Poliwrath with tremendous force, sending him rolling on the ground to end up unconscious. The Nidorino casually walks to check the body of the other Pokémon, and after flickering its ears and hearing some faint heartbeats, turns tail and walks away...-

Rascal: <Rex wasn't too good at catching Pokemon initially. He mostly just threw the ball at something and hoped that he caught it. It mostly didn't work out. But then...>

Rattata: *sniffing around for some food* <Hmmm...> *crawls onto Rex's bag, pawing at the zipper*

Rex: *grumbles* Lousy Abra, spamming Teleport all the time. Why can't it just give me a bre- *notices the Rattata* ...

Rattata: <...>

Rex: *throws a Pokeball*

Rattata: <Eep!> *captured*

Rex: 8D

~A short while later~

Rex: *hands the Rattata a granola bar* More snacks? :3

Fang: *squeaks happily and nibbles at the bar* <Yay! This is much better than eating garbage~>

Rascal: <And that was how Fang joined the group.>

Jemma: *wonders if Fang tastes good*

Rascal: <After that, Rex took a break from capturing for a bit. But then he tried again once he got to Azalea.>

Makuhita: *has smashed two of Rex's Pokeballs* <Come at me, bro. >

Rex: Urrgh... *bites his lip and decides to let it go* It's not worth it.

Makuhita: *walks off like a boss*

Rex: *sighs; grumbling to himself* This sucks... being a trainer is harder than I thought.

Bugsy: *pops out of a tree, hanging from it upside down by his legs* Having some trouble?

Rex: *falls backwards in surprise* Aaah! What are you doing up there!?

Bugsy: Looking for bugs. *holds up a Pineco, looking proud of himself* Isn't this a beautiful specimen of a Pineco?

Pineco:

Rex: Umm...I guess.

Bugsy: Anyway, if you're having trouble this early on, maybe you should go to Violet City. There's a tower there designed for training Pokemon. And there's also a gym, too. Just between you and me, Falkner's got the weakest team roster this season. It'd be a good place to start.

Rex: Wow...that's awfully nice of you!

Bugsy: *grins* No problem. I used to be a junior trainer too, once.

Rascal: <We didn't know it at the time, but that turned out to be the Gym Leader of Azalea: Bugsy. Following his advice, we headed for Violet City. Things really started to pick up then.>

Geodude: *uses Defense Curl*

Rascal: *hits with a Quick Attack* <Ow, my head...> *whine*

Rex: Now I gotcha! *tosses a Pokeball*

Geodude: <Dude!> *captured*

Rex: Yay! *holds his arms open wide* Good job, Rascal.

Rascal: *nuzzles against Rex happily*

Rex: *sprays his head with some Potion and scratches behind his ears* :3

Rex: *walking nearby with his team out* Four Pokemon already! This is awesome! It's too bad I only have one Pokeball left, though. Frickin' Makuhita...

Fang: *laying on Rex's head* <When are we going to get to Violet City?>

Gaea: <I think we're really close. There are a lot more trainers around all of a sudden.>

Rascal: <Yes! Then I get to show off my awesome skills in the gym match!> *yips*

Breezy: *is blown away by a sudden gust of wind* <Aieee~>

Rex: Oh no! Come back, Breezy!

Breezy: <Help me~> *floats away, seemingly unbothered by the whole thing*

Rex: *follows after Breezy, Rascal and Gaea following after him*

Gaea: <Why doesn't he just recall her?>

Rascal: <New at this.>

Breezy: <Eeeeee~> *lands on the ground, rolling into a nearby Pokemon* <Oh, sorry.>

Mareep: *bleats in confusion* <Who are you?>

Breezy: <I'm Breezy!> *rights herself, hopping around the Mareep happily* <My trainer is probably looking for me~>

Mareep: <Trainer?> *nudges Breezy with her nose, looking a little confused* <I don't have a trainer. I'm just Mareep.>

Breezy: <You better watch out; my trainer might try to get you!> *giggles and hops up, spinning in the air* <Hide your kids and hide your wife: Rex is catching everyone~>

Mareep: *completely misses the reference* <I'm not worried; I don't think anyone would want me.> *bahs and begins to nom some grass*

Rex: *runs up, a little winded* Th...there you are...Breezy... *sighs* Are you alright? *picks her up*

Breezy: <I'm fine~> *flails about in his hands* <I had a lot of fun~>

Rex: Hmm, you seem like you're okay. I'll take you to the Center just in case, thou- ...oooh, pretty sheep!

Mareep: <Baaah?> *looks up with innocent, sparkly blue eyes*

Rex: *goes over to the Mareep*

Mareep: <Aaaah!> *ducks into a nearby bush* <Go away!>

Rex: Aww, don't be scared. *sets Breezy down on the ground* I'm really nice. Honest!

Mareep: <...> *bahs*

Rex: C'mere. There's no need to be afraid. :3 *reaches for her slowly and carefully*

Breezy: <Oh no, don't do that~ Mareep will shock you~>

Rex: *picks up the Mareep carefully and holds her in front of him*

Mareep: <Eeep! Nonononononooooo!> *flails, but makes no attempt to shock him* <You don't want me! I'm bad, I'm no good!>

Rex: Hmmm...it seems like you're kind of shy. *sets her down on the ground again* You don't have to come with me, if you don't want to. But I bet Breezy would be happy if you did.

Breezy: <Sheepy sheep sheep~ :3>

Mareep: <...> *tilts her head downwards* <But, I'm no good...>

Rex: *looks hopeful*

Mareep: <...Oh...okay...but you'll regret it. > *goes over to Rex and bleats in affirmation*

Rex: Yay! *hugs Mareep* I'll call you, Ohm. ...Actually, you're kind of cuddly. Maybe Fluffy would be better.
