Butterscotch: <I guess you could try going into her mind and clearing it out.>

Felis: <Well, congratulations. You've been on the team for less than a week and you've already ruined everything.>

-Maekrite leaps to a high ledge and fires a sixth Thunderbolt at Tony, who this time has managed to turn and collect energy for a Sludge Bomb that shields him from the direct hit-

Maekrite — <Fine! I'll admit you at least know to do something useful!> — charges to chase.

Tony — <*gasp* *pant*> — leaps away, tries to look for another angle to attack.

-However, the invader has plans to end the battle now. After both Nidorino clash again a couple of times, Maekrite imbues his paw with Obscura as he darts for a next hit.-

Tony — <...Ack! not this time~!>

-Tony dashes forwards and leaps high on the air to go past Maekrite and evade the attack, but Maekrite manages to react to this by digging his paws on the ground, thus breaking hard; then, he collects all his strength and rears up to swing his horn just as Tony is passing over-

Tony — <...Aaaaaahhh!>

-The Nidorino is thurst in mid-air, and falls to meet a full-force ram by the intruder, that sends it flying a couple of meters away to crash against a tree. Tony falls limply to the ground, as do some random leaves and berries around him, and shakes, unable to stand up, a fresh wound running from his chest to his flank-

Maria — <No! Tony! Stand... no...>

-At this point the Nidorina sees everything is out of control, and she realizes she doesn't know what to do. If she doesn't call off the combat, Tony will die for sure... she could call off the combat and state that she prefers her current mate, but they would be defenseless against this evil Nidorino if he doesn't like the idea...-

-Maekrite shakes himself, then approaches the fallen Nidorino carefully, growling and keeping his horn pointed at him-

-Narrowing her eyes, Maria decided that there's only one thing she can do.-

-She turns tail and runs away-

-Receives Tangent's text, ringing my Poke Nav-

-I've finished bathing Ichtacya and Algira and give my mons food so that they can eat something and relax before we discuss the serious issue. I decide to randonmly check my Pokégear, noticing a message from Tangent-

— Hey, guys? Look... we are invited to a party.

-This immediately catches Dintel and Shahinne's attention-

Dintel — <Really? I can has party~> — swings around happily.

Shahinne — <Can we meet the others there? I want to see Dad. And Aunt Salamence...>

— I guess we can... but we need to talk some things first. I don't want you — glares at Algira and Ichtacya — to go and misbehave this badly in the party. This is supposed to be a breather arc.

Algira — <Uh... I guess... we could...>

Shahinne — <Can't we go without them?>

-My mons share uneasy looks, but I cross my arms-

— No. We are all going, or nomon is going. It would be unfair to the others...

-My mons keep eating in silence, while I check the tracer on Maekrite. it says he's engaged in battle; worried, I decide to give it a couple of minutes before picking my team and going to fetch him.-

— Look, it's no one's fault that we lost a challenge. Besides, it was just one.

Dintel — <But I didn't want to lose...>

— I know, Dintel. No one wants to lose. — picks him up to pet him — But you are all a new team. It's been two years ever since I began roaming again, and this is the first time I take a Gym Challenge. It's going to take us some time.

-Dintel and Copahue nod. Ichtacya tilts her head and looks a bit worried, but says nothing-

-I check my Pokégear and the tracker again-

— You guys think about costumes for the party... next up, Ichtacya, Copahue, I want you to come with me as soon as you are ready from your lunchtime.

<Well, we'll figure out something soon. And you'll see everyone else again.>

<And we can go to New Island, I hear Tangent's got a Halloween party planned or something.>
