<Milo: "That doesn't explain why I'm being left out of the other part of this trip!">

<Kat: "Because I don't want you causing any more incidents back at my tribe, weasel boy!">

<Milo: "Hey! I didn't know that place was off limits!">

<Iggy: "Look, let's just try and forget about that one, Kat...">

-Aside-

<Teala: "So... You two are finally going to get to see Celadon...">

<Audrey: "Technically, I've already seen it... Barely...">

<Lardna: "Aren't you coming onto the team later in the trip, Teala? I'm sure that you'll get the chance to see it too...">

<Gene: "Wait, where is everyone anyways?">

<Shaun: "I think Tagg said something about wanting to continue telling those stories about our past yesterday...">

<Vlad: "Yay! I love stories! Can we go?">

Alright, the poachers are distracted, but not for long. Gentleman, how do we take care of those bastards?

-Walks into Tagg's room and notices group staring off into space with Cobalt out-

"Huh. I wonder what they're reminiscing about?"

<Audrey: "I think it's about that incident that with the Swablu out in Hoenn that you told me about...">

-In the illusion-

-Grabs a Pokeball-

Past!Tracer: "You probably know the answer to that one better than I do, Dr. Tagg..."

-Grabs a Poke Ball myself-

When in doubt, fight dirty.

Present!Tagg: A very true maxim when you're fighting for survival.

-Releases Steel and has him charge right at the poachers while they're still blinded-

Past!Tracer: "Let's go, Iggy!"

<Past!Iggy: "Oh hey, what's goi-">

-Notices disoriented poachers with guns-

Poacher 1: "Ugh... Where are those meddling sons of-"

<Past!Iggy: "... What did you get yourself into, Tracer?">

Past!Tracer: "I know that this goes against everything that I've told you before... But use Hydro Pump on those cretins!"

<Past!Iggy: "Actually, I changed my mind... I'm not sure if I want to know what you managed to get yourself into, Tracer...">

-Iggy disgorges a pair of massive streams of water from his "turrets" at the poachers-

-Finally enters the illusion-

"... Well this was a wonderful moment to revisit..."

— Fighting legalized battles is one thing... but facing this was another matter entirely.

In the Past

-I run from the rock taking the incline, looking for a tree to hide behind, and look from there as three more poachers approach from the east (downhill) carrying shotguns-

Past!Silent — Well, this is getting out of control. — to Tracer — These guys must have a truck or another vehicle with supplies!

Present!Tagg: Your average Aggron is almost seven feet tall and weighs 360 kg. Now imagine what happens when that meets a human.

-One poacher gets tackled by Steel and goes flying into a tree with a sickening crack-

That was nasty, but it was either him or us.

Steel: -Looks over at the unconscious poacher while sweeping several of them aside with his tail into other trees- <I didn't want to do this, but you left us no choice.>

-Hears Silent-

Oh great.

Can this get any worse?

Lake: -Cringes.- <I wouldn't be surprised if it did, honestly. Ooh...>

Well, you guys are braver than me, at any rate.

Keldeo I: <I assume everymon is ready to depart later tonight?>

Raikou: <Nya~, yep. Not like we've got anything to pack, anyway. Since Phantom and Hallow completely wrecked our fort...>

Keldeo I: <Still bitter about that, I see.>

Entei: <ENTEI IS BITTER, TOO!!!>

Keldeo I: <I see.>

Raikou: <How's Keldeo doing?>

Keldeo I: <Well...>

Keldeo: -Crying his eyes out.- <WHY DID MISTER LUKE HAVE TO LOSE?! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!>

Keldeo I: <Little guy's still taking Luke's loss rather hard.>

Entei: <POOR LITTLE THING! ENTEI IS ALSO SAD AT LUKE'S LOSS!>

Keldeo I: <Mmm. By the way, where's Suicune and Ho-oh?>

Raikou: <They've gone to get out transport back to Oblivia ready, nya.>

Keldeo I: <Oh. How did you get here, anyway?>

Entei: <YOU SHALL SEE!>

Past!Silent — Hmmm... maybe if we can surprise them there...

-I send a Pokéball rolling towards some nearby bushes, releasing a Noctowl.-

Past!Silent — Be careful around here, Pokéteco... see those evil people? — point to the skirmish downhill.

-Noctowl tils his head some good 120 degrees before nodding; while I'm used to it, it still makes me cringe-

Past!Silent — Look, those are not Trainers. Find their vehicle and set up a good mess around there.

-Noctowl nods again, chirps, then his eyes shine for a moment and he moves his head slightly to avoid a bullet that passes by; after a sort of sigh, he sets off flying at low height, trying to scout around-

Okay Silent let's-

-Get blindsided and knocked to to the ground by a shotgun-toting poacher-

Shotgun Poacher: -About to blow my head off- You son of a bitch, say hello to Arceus for me y-

-Is cut off by me kicking him in the groin and headbutting him to the ground so that I can beat him unconscious with the butt of his own gun-

Present!Tagg: -Crack- I think I broke his nose when I did that.

- Still paying attention to the story, seeming somewhat amazed -

(thinking) Whoa...

Cephas: <Ooooch... I don't think I had heard about this specific part... but do note how, in the wild, dramatic parting lines like that poacher gave only give your prey a second chance to turn the tables.>

HOLY CRUD.

Lake: <This is brutal! Horribly brutal! I'm not sure I like this...>

Hey, it's okay, It's for a good cause.

Lake: <I guess.>

Wow. Life as a field researcher is way more exciting than I thought it'd be.

Felis: <So let me guess. You want to be a researcher now? Getting your head nearly blown off sounds perfect for you.>

-Notices other shotgun-toting poachers almost upon us, and Iggy still distracted by pummeling a group of other poachers-

-A short distance away-

<Past!Iggy: "So you like to take shots at researchers? I'll fix you, you sick freaks!">

Past!Tracer: "Well... Crap. Go, Shaun!"

-Notices poachers drawing near, and readying shotguns-

Shotgun Poacher 3: "You nimrods don't know when to give up, do you?"

<Past!Shaun: "... They're not...">

Past!Tracer: "Shaun, use-"

<Past!Shaun: "STAY AWAY FROM HIM, YOU CREEPS!">

-Shaun emits a massive electrical burst ahead of him-

Past!Tracer: "... Discharge..."

<Iggy: "Well that was a lovely moment to remember... I almost got you two killed...">

<Shaun: "It's alright, you had quite a handful at the moment...">

-Meanwhile, a poacher with a shotgun tries to move around the group, running between the trees and looking for a vantage point that he finally finds-

Shotgun Poacher #2 — Let's see... — aims around — I can get a good shot from this distance...

-Aims at Iggy, but his view is partially obstructed-

Shotgun Poacher #2 — Come on, stupid thing! move!

-Noctowl stands on a tree, carefully looking how next to a river some guys are unloading extra shotguns, magazines and a couple of electric nets from a truck-

Pokéteco — <Let's see... what can I do that is interesting?>

-Looks around and notices one of the men sitting behind the truck, not paying much attention-

Pokéteco — <Oh yes, I think I already got it...>

<Past!Shaun: "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WE JUST WANTED TO LOOK AT BIRDS!">

Past!Tracer: "... Uh... Shaun?"

<Lardna: "... Wait, that was really you, Shaun?">

<Teala: "... You seem so... Different...">

<Shaun: "... I don't take kindly to watching Tracer getting threatened... And those poachers weren't exactly ones to make idle threats either...">

-Still using Discharge-

<Past!Shaun: "JUST LEAVE US ALONE!">

-Past!Iggy has finally subdued the group of poachers that he was initially sent out against-

<Past!Iggy: "Come back when you can fight!">

"Oh great... Here comes the worst part of this whole debacle..."

<Iggy: "To be fair, he was kind of a bad shot... Most people trying to down a Blastoise don't try to go for the more heavily armored parts of our bodies...">

"Still... If he had been a little better with his aim..."

<Iggy: "Don't dwell on it too much, Tracer... Besides, after that trip to the Pokecenter, you could barely tell that something like that happened to me...">

<Milo: "You mean you actually-">

-Maekrite looks at the images not seeing his mom anywhere, but says nothing; meanwhile, Dintel is covering his eyes, a bit scared of the images-

In the Past

-the second Poacher finally manages to get a good aim at Iggy's upper body and shoots-

Past!Silent (turning around from my hiding point) — Crap... there are even more there? — checks pockets for another Pokéball.

Poacher #2 — Yeah...! — sees Iggy get hurt — A quick reload and then the Ampharos...

-ducks to the ground and reloads, but then is distracted by a radio message-

Radio op — Guys! What is going around there? We're sending the rest of the team with the electric net launchers, over!

-meanwhile, the rest of the poachers enter the back of the truck to begin unloading the electric nets-

-Unaware to them, the poacher assigned to guard the back to the truck is asleep already-

Pokéteco — <Great... Now, time for concert...> — pushes the body of the man against the backdoor of the truck to avoid it being easily open...-

-Pokéteco enters the truck-

??? — What? What's that bird doing here?

??? — Quick! Grab it! It may have a camera or something!

??? — The net! use the net!

??? — ...? What are you waiting for! It's just standing there!

...

Pokéteco — <HOW ARE YOU NOT-SO-GENTLEMEN!>

Poachers — <AAAAAAHHHHH! Our ears!>

Pokéteco — <INSTA-DEAF!>

-the truck rumbles as the Uproar reverberates inside; a couple of second later, the Noctowl gets out of the truck and pushes his body against the other side of the back door to close it-

Pokéteco — <Now, that part is over...> — flies to some nearby trees to hide.

-Flies straight at Shotgun Poacher #2 and shoots a Fire Blast right at him-

Present!Tagg: And that's why it's never a good idea to anger a Salamence.

-Iggy's upper body is suddenly hit by a number of shotgun pellets-

<Past!Iggy: "AAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!">

Past!Tracer: " IGGY! "

-Past!Shaun finally relents from using discharge on the now-unconscious group of poachers and stares blankly at a wounded Iggy-

-Past!Iggy falls to the ground and struggles to get up-

<Gene: "...">

<Nadia: "...">

<Teala: "...">

<Toothless: "Oh... Oh wow...">

-Struggling back up, though unable to get off of knees-

-Notices a series of marks oozing blood from upper abdominal carapace-

-Calling out to an unseen assailant-

<Past!Iggy: "You cretin! Learn how to shoot be- AGH!">

-And falls back down to all fours in pain-

Past!Tracer: "Oh... Oh Arceus..."

-Watching Past!Draca using Fire Blast on Iggy's attacker-

<Nadia: "Hmph. Served the creep right...">

<Toothless: "Wait, do you know that move, Nadia?">

-Thinking-

<Nadia: "I wish, I've been a Salamence for all of two months...">
