- Sitting under a tree, randomly playing with the coin flip function on my Poketch. Snow White, Inferno and Blitz walk over to me -

Snow White: <Hey DS?>

... What is it?

Snow White: <We haven't gotten to meet any of your friends yet.>

Well... I did want you guys to meet them, but it seems we picked a bad time for this. Everyone is... kind of busy today.

Snow White: <Oh, I understand...>

Inferno: <Guess that can't be helped...>

Blitz: <Meh, whatever.>

Well, look at the bright side, at least nothing interrupted your quality time together that way.

Snow White: <Good point.>

Inferno: <I guess...>

Blitz: <Well, no problem. If you ever bring us out again someday, I'll just show everyone my awesomeness then!>

Snow White: (chuckles) <Oh, Blitz... You haven't changed at all since the last time I saw you.>

Blitz: <Oh, thanks sis!> (pause) <... That was a compliment, right?>

Snow White: <Hehe... Sure.>

Unite: -Spots Gene nearby.- <Hey, where did that Sandslash come from?>

<Nadia: "(*sniffle*) So what now?">

<Gene: "Aww... I missed everything!">

<Kat: "Well that clears one question up...">

Lake: <I guess the best thing we can do right now is apologise. It won't make Sonny or Hydreigon better, but there's nothing we can do about that, really.>

-Lake gives Nadia a hug.-

Lake: <But whatever happens, I'll be there with you. Promise.>

Unite: <...Aww...>

Well, Hydreigon's pretty tough, so I'm sure she'll be better by tomorrow. What about Sonny?

<Nadia: "(*sniffle*) ...">

<Toothless: "What's wrong, Nadia?">

-Thinking-

<Nadia: "I can't... I can't do it...">

<Toothless: "Why not?">

<Nadia: "I can apologize for today, I really shouldn't have said some of those things to her... But I can't apologize for everything...">

<Toothless: "Why can't you?">

<Nadia: "Because she could care less about what happened to me... You heard what she said...">

<Toothless: "I see... But why are you so adamant on playing on the same terms?">

<Nadia: "...">

<Toothless: "If she doesn't apologize for breaking your wing, what of it? Would she have been any more likely to apologize if you hadn't?">

<Nadia: "... But then I'll look weak...">

<Toothless: "... I'm not fully sure how you got having to apologize equated with weakness in your head, Nadia... But that's not true... It takes a different kind of strength to admit when you were wrong, a strength that many Pokemon lack...">

<Nadia: "... B-But then I'll be living a lie... I can't really take back those thoughts...">

<Toothless: "... That's something that you'll have to sort out on your own. But you can at least apologize for being blunt about those thoughts...">

<Nadia: "I suppose...">

<Gene: "Why was she all spaced out like that?">

"The nurses said that he didn't look too bad, all things considered... I think that he must have gotten lucky. He should be back to normal within a few days..."

Lake: <Yeah, looks like it.>

Unite: -Pokes his head down.- <Yep, We sure have.>

Lake: <UNITE?! How long have you been there?!>

Unite: <Not that long. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone you've been talking to that Salamence plushie of yours.>

Lake: <Um. Thanks...>

Maekrite is dozing off on the bed.

Maekrite — <Ooohhh... so delicious... and the breeze... it feels good to...>

??? — <Well you shouldn't be happy. You're a mess!>

Maekrite — <Zzzzz... -Hey... why? I'm fine, I'm well trained and–>

??? — <You left... like that. Yeah, go see the world! Forget about your responsibilities!>

Maekrite — <Wait wait, wait. I didn't just leave... I'm... right here!>

Meanwhile Dintel happily walks with a bag of popcorn towards the pillars that lead to the stadium's ceiling, wanting to eat the whole thing by himself.

Dintel — <Oh... but I wish Vlad and Gene were around... We could do fun stuff, like peek on Kat and see if she is daydreaming with that Cubone.> — noms popcorn — <Oh, maybe I'll see them later...>

Dintel carefully claws his way up the stadium while standing upside down to better hold the popcorn bag with his muzzle.

Maekrite — <I'm with the human! I have to return it safe...! You made us fight for the duty of returning it safe!>

??? — <And then you go forget all else in the road? Couldn't beat Basket... Can't even hunt a live Torchic anymore!>

Maekrite (sweating) — <Zzzz... nghhh... I can't always go hunt in the outside... and that egg was a friend's–>

??? — <You are supposed to only have two friends! No more! Or else, can't return to us! To me!>

Maekrite — <But... I have done nothing wrong! I... the colony... they'd wait for me!>

??? — <Well not me. I'm bored, and fall comes near. I'll have to go look for a more... suitable, provider.>

Maekrite — <No wait WAIT!!!>

(Standing from the desk)

— Maekrite, you OK?

Maekrite — <Yeah... just... Bad Dreams.> — grunts, notices he has been sweating poison on the bedsheets. — <Oh...>

— Want me to go–

Maekrite — <Water... I'd like to drink some water.>

— Right... — checks watch — I'll rush your medication then, because I can't tend to you or the others for the remainder of the afternoon.

Maekrite — <Oh... great>

I go look for a bowl of water and Maekrite's medication.

— Damn lawyers. Making everything so... slow....

Gone for quiiiiiite a whiiiiiile...

<Audrey: "...">

<Lardna: "What is it?">

<Audrey: "... They're right in front of us.">

-Group comes through bushes-

<Shaun: "Nadia! Are you okay?">

<Milo: "Yeah, didn't anyone teach you not to run o- OW!">

-Is jabbed by Kat-

<Kat: "Not now, weasel boy!">

-Nods-

-Decides to go take a walk-

Lake: <It's okay, we were just talking about what happened. Everything's fine now, for the most part.>

Unite: <Um...I was just making sure they were okay. That's all.>

- Is still spending time with my Pokémon somewhere in the area -

-Is still wandering around-

I wonder when Flare's coming back with the egg.

-I arrive outside the Pokémon Centre.-

Tagg, Your egg! it's-

-I'm interrupted by Flare rushing past.-

Flare: <TAGG! IT'S HATCHING!>

-Flare holds the egg up, which now has several cracks in it.-

-The egg shifts, more cracks appearing in it.-

Flare: <That's it! Come on little guy, you can do it!>

- Artemis and Mira are wandering around -

Mira: <... Artemis, I think we took a wrong turn. I can not see Master DS, nor any of our teammates anywhere.>

Artemis: <Relax, we'll find them sooner or later... Huh?>

- Artemis and Mira are close to where Tagg, Luke and Flare are -

Artemis: <Hey, isn't that...?>

- The two of them hide nearby -

Artemis: <Ooh, it's hatching! Do you think it will have gills? That would be so cool!>

Mira: <... I highly doubt that, Artemis.>

- The two of them watch to see what will happen -

Flare: <She's...Blue!>

-Indeed, Flare's Torchic has blue feathers.-

Wait, that's the same sort of blue that a Feraligatr is.

Flare: <Heh, she has you feathers, Luke.>

-Flare stokes her chick gently.-

Flare: -Softly.- <Hey there, I'm your mom...>

Torchic: -Chirps happily- <Mom.>

Flare: -Smiles- <That's right! Clever girl! Now...>

-Flare points at Tagg.-

Flare: <This is your trainer. He's going to look after you and make you big and strong just like me. Do you like the sound of that?>
