Alyesha gave a thumbs up upon hearing that

Alyesha: "Just Alyesha is fully fine with me. And I understand, I'll keep it in mind if I meet any brainwashed Pokémon"

The last part was said jokingly, though, Alyesha knew quite well that there was likely a possibility for this to actually happen after all she was in the J-Team.

Alyesha: "Nope, just hanging out with Matvey and enjoying my time with him~"

Ryan: It's settled then. I've sent a message to the crew that we'll be at the city. Gavin, you're the local. Anywhere you'd recommend?

Gavin: Well, there's the Business District and the fancy eateries there, the baywalk, the Abandoned Cable TV Station— It's a big city.

Gavin's phone floated up. It is colored like a rotom.

Gimbal, via the phone: And you don't need to worry about a repeat of the incident of '99 since you've got a ghost type following y'all around. Gimbal, by the way. Charmed.

Alyesha: "Alright~ Where to first then~? and glad to hear we've got you with us, Gimbal~ I'll be trusting in you~"

Shutter: Well, if we had to choose...

Permafrost Park Square, North Mandarin Island downtown

Shutter leads Ryan and Alyesha and their Pokémon down to an old square. In the retail floors of one tall building, there were several eateries. Shutter seems eager to look for one in a specific corner of the building.

They arrive at a Hi-Hat Cafe.

Shutter: Well, that's new. Gimbal, are you sure that juice bar is still here?

Gimbal: Yes, Gav, it's here.

Shutter: It's a Hi-Hat.

Gimbal: Well, the juice joint is still on this location.

The server came up to them.

Server: Oh, the Citrus Cornucopia was merged with a Hi-Hat Cafe. You're in the right place.

Shutter: Yes, thank you. Well, fellas, we're here.

Permafrost Park Square, North Mandarin Island Downtown

Alyesha and Matvey both folllowed along, holding hands. The two looked around in the city, looknig out for further spots to explore later. Upon reaching the old square and the cafe, the two looked to Shutter

Aleysha: "Oh~ then I'm eager to find out why you brought us here."

Shutter: Well, Citrus Cornucopia is one of the best juice joints in the island. And, more importantly, it's just across the street from a few notable monuments, including the Orange Islands Cultural Center and Permafrost Park. It got its name because right below it is permafrost, something that does not naturally occur in the Orange Islands outside of truly tall mountain peaks like those in Ice Island and Navel Island. As a result, most of the plants that grow there were imported from more northerly regions, as the native plant life could no longer be raised on the same ground.

He sighs.

Shutter: There's also a much newer section of the park that's built as a memorial for the Millennium Crisis, a sign that we should never, ever forget the disaster and the blasphemous actions that caused it.

Alyesha sat down, for a time simply marvelling at the park and cultural center before turning over to Shutter.

Alyesha: "Will we be able to go into the culture center and park later today? They both sound quite interesting~"

At the mentioning of the millenium crisis, she sighed as well, now leaning back

Alyesha: "So... that's why that place seemed familiar in my memory... I see."

Hi-Hat Cafe/Citrus Cornucopia

Shutter: If you think that marker's impressive, you should see the one in Shamouti, Ground Zero itself. My late maternal grandfather Terrence Caktiong filmed live footage of the area during the event itself. He survived the ordeal and was able to see the park rebuilt shortly before he died.

He places an order for a fruit shake.

Shutter: You guys want shakes? Citrus fruits are native to the region.

Ryan: If I recall, the islands were named for the fruits. Each of their names in Galarian refers to a subspecies of citrus fruit.

Shutter: That is correct. So you getting the multifruit mix or you want straight-up orange juice.

Ryan: I'll have what he's having.

Shutter: Four Seasons. Impeccable taste.

The cashier seems flustered as she took the order. She took out a camera and gestured as politely as she can to take a picture with Ryan, who agreed.

Shutter: Super Senior is really popular here.

Cashier: Thank you, just... I have all your albums. The manager's an even bigger fan. It's on the house. For you and your friends.

Ryan: Wow, thanks... I guess.

Ryan slips a about a hundred onto the tip box surreptitiously while he looked at the cashier and the staff awkwardly.

Shutter: And you, Alyesha, what would you be having?

Alyesha gave a slight nod upon the mention of an even bigger memorial

Alyesha: "You had a really brave grandfather Shutter."

She leaned back, watching the surroundings for a bit as the waiter took Shutter's and Ryan's orders. Smiling lightly upon seeing how popular Super Senior was here

Alyesha: "I'll also be taking what he takes, and another one for Matvey please~"

Stormchaser — Lounge Area

-Rose is curled up on a sofa, muttering things into her phone.-

Rose: Paula Jaide.

-The phone encounters a familiar error, crashing the Metanav app. Rose sighs, and reopens it.-

Rose: All right, then. One more time. Cipher Operations HQ, Orre.

Metanav: Candidate found.

Rose: Chateau.

Metanav: Candidate found.

Rose: Avarice.

Metanav: Candidate found.

Rose: Okay, three out of four. Just... please, at least a "too far away" notification, instead of crashing?

-The phone, of course, gives no response, merely waiting for the final keyword.-

Rose: ...Okay. Here goes. Paula Jaide.

-The app crashes. Rose just stares absently at her screen for a while.-

Stormchaser - Room 713

Three canid Pokemon sat at the foot end of a bed, watching the TV. One sat down like a human would and the other two lied down on their chests, leaned against each other.

The youngest was burying her face in the other quadrupedal canid's mane. She couldn't watch the fights on the screen, for fear blood would be drawn.

<Ellie,> Talbain said softly, not sure how to follow up. <I won't force you to fight if that's what you want. I promise,> he said. <But you are going to have to learn to defend yourself.>

<Sean? Can I ask you to help Ellie learn a few moves?> He asked the Lucario, noticing him mull over it in his head, no doubt asking Lucario and D.C..

Ellie got on her shapeshifted trainer's back and looked at Sean with Baby-Doll Eyes.

For the first time in as long as he could remember a mental vote was 3-0.

Almia, Vien Forest

Misaki: "You seeing this, babe?"

-Misaki makes sure her glasses cam is on, staring at the flickering red and black portal in front of her.-

Marie: "What is that? Do a scan with your AR."

-Misaki does so.-

Marie: "Weird...all I'm seeing is a bunch of garbage data. Wait, hang on...oh no. Misaki, get out of there now."

Misaki: "Why?"

Marie: "You know how the sky's broken? I think this is one of those extradimensional portals. It's dangerous, Akari. Listen, I'll call for backup. Just stay pu-"

"Where are you right now?"

Misaki: "Vien Forest, about a quarter mile from Pueltown. Why?"

Marie: "Okay promise me you'll think before you act, okay? About half an hour ago someone's Chingling was reported missing...supposedly dragged off by a what looked like a giant white Machamp."

-Misaki nods and looks at the portal.-

Marie: "Misaki please just wait for backup!"

Misaki: "The longer I wait the more likely it is that Chingling gets hurt or killed. You have my GPS coordiantes. I'll treat you to a nice dinner tonight to make up for this, alright?"

-Misaki takes a few steps back, nodding to herself. She then sprints forward, disappearing into the strange portal.-

-The sound of the text tone makes Rose jolt and fumble for her phone. She nearly catches it out of the air once, twice, three times before she misses and it falls on the ground.-

-Misaki doubles over in a coughing fit, slowly standing up and taking stock of her surroundings.-

-The place is very...red. Geometric. Lots of black, rectangular blocks and platforms loom in the distance. The platform Misaki stands on is wide, a giant flat square.-

-Suddenly she spies a large, two-armed Machamp, wearing a Cubone-esque helm and armed with the sword and shield of a Sirfetch'd. Behind them lays a normal Chingling.-

Misaki: "Okay..."
