alyesha paused shortly, giving a thumbs up

-Brie flails around sleepily, shuffling under the blankets-

Brie: I'm fine. Just generally tired. Dueled a giant spider yesterday. With, like, Duel Monsters. That was a thing that happened.

-Kai blinks-

Kai: I didn't interrupt that with my problems, did I? Or, well, Ever was the one who did the interrupting, if there was any to be had, but... yeah, uh?

Brie: Nah, it's fine. I won, I was just hoping to sleep off the rest of the day. But Ever texted me, and what am I supposed to do, not show up?

Magical Girl Fight

Max and Sunny looked at their sparkles and flames in contemplation before the former clenched her ribbon-wrapped fist, holding it behind her back like she was preparing to deliver a haymaker before sparkles started building up around it, brighter and brighter.

"Corona Cannon!" She announced as she threw the punch, the sparkles leaving her fist as they traveled, solidifying into the shape of a heart.

Sunny took her scabbard, meanwhile, and held her hand over it, letting the flames build up with increasing intensity until she removed her hand and a tendril of flame exploded out, 20 meters long and half a meter wide, but despite looking unwieldy Sunny managed to exercise perfect control, stretching directly towards the Glitch with an announcement of "Wildfire Whip!"

Kai: Well, you could have, but I'm very glad you didn't. For several reasons.

-They smile.-

Kai: When you are rested up enough, I did have an idea for a date spot, if you're interested.

"Uhh.... Actually I don't know. Let me ask the groupchat."

-Brie sticks her head out from under the covers-

-Kai grins. -

Kai: I was thinking we could visit the Lake of Rage. It's nice, it's the perfect time of year to visit, it's a bit away from the J-Team but not super far, it's got that ever-so-subtle darkness in its history that makes it all the more intriguing, and there's Gyarados, so it's bound to be exciting. What do you say?

-Ian throws another Poké Ball, which opens and out comes Piper, Ian's other Pikachu-

-Piper runs at high speeds and rams into Erika's Venusaur-

-Raru's song prepares to reach its climax...-

Tomas: Okay I hoped I could convince you on just the merits of not getting our assess handed to us by the J-Team, but I guess I'll have to bring out the one thing more important to all of us than our collections...

Tomas: If we become friends with the J-Team, and we do it in a big flashy way , we can use the fact we're buddy-buddy with a group of reputable heroes as leverage on the other Macraul branches. Especially, especially if we can make them jealous of our friendship with the J-Team.

-The table is silent for a moment, Janus taking another bite of her meal, Ekaterina and Lucian seriously contemplating the offer-

Ekaterina: And what 'big flashy way' did you have in mind brother?

Tomas: I did not plan that far ahead!

-Lucian looks up at his siblings and for perhaps the first time since his 'defeat' at the hands of the previous contestants, that showman's smile is beaming broadly-

Lucian: How about Halloween?

Jovi tries to keep up with Ironspine, dodging when need. Des, who is still hanging off the side of the saddle, let's out a lasso to try and tangle up Ironspine's machinery.

"You keep odd friends, Logan!"

"Hello Zee, Fluffy. Fluffy is an oddly apt name for a Charmander. May I?"

If he has permission, he would give the Charmander head pats. He looks over at Skye's antics and chuckles.

"Oh yeah, totally ready."
