The smile on Alyesha's face widened as she heard that, with her instantly giving a thumbs up. While she had not pursued a scientific career in favor of her Yatai, she still was quite interested in fossils, if only as hobby, so that event seemed like the perfect opportunity for her.
Alyesha: "I think I will get some paleoart then, if I have the option I'll use it~ And depending on the panels, I might get tickets for them as well"
With that, Alyesha grinned
Alyesha: "Also, I don't think I've introduced myself yet, I'm Alyesha, pleased to meet you~ The Armaldo besides me-"
As she said this, Matvey glomped her from behind with a grin, waving withone arm, causing Alyesha to laugh happily

Ryan: Ryan Seo, field researcher for the Omastar Oceanographic Foundation. I specialize mainly in deep sea exploration. We're usually the Geo Soc's go-to partners for ocean research.

Seems both Pokémon were quite interested in that, causing Alyesha to chuckle softly and taking a step back so they could talk with Ryan.

Ryam was familiar enough with pokémon behavior to know eager faces when he sees them. It's a good thing he took that elective, too.

Ryan: A bunch of eager bibarels, you two are. We use submarines and submersible remote controlled robots to explore the deep, though many water types can usually adapt if they give themselves enough time to adjust to the pressure and if you give them a lamp. We did theorize that armaldo were bottom feeders rather that just open water hunters.

Ryan: Of course, we do need your trainer's approval. We sadly can't allow trained pokémon unattended on the site tours.
He picks up a card in his pockets and gives in to Alyesha.
Ryan: Do forgive me for indulging them too soon. I tend to be very excitable about my line of work. Now, we don't explore wrecks that often. I'd have to ask my superiors about that, since there are a few dozen ones here from the war and they'd make a great educational subject for both biodiversity and the history of naval combat.

Before he even could give his card, Alyesha gave a thumbs up with a grin
Alyesha: "Of course the two have my permission, depending on the depth, I would even come as well."
With that, Alyesha took out her purse, presenting her diving certification to Ryan.
Alyesha: "I'm licensed for up to 50 meters depth myself, though, I won't be able to accompany the two if the wrecks are deeper than that, so far, I couldn't get a license to use an atmospheric diving suit or closed bell"
Upon hearing that, both Matvey's and Semyon's eyes went wide with joy, as the former glomped Alyesha again (nearly throwing her to the ground in the process) and the latter seemed close jumping around (as much as a Dhelmise could accomplish such a task anyway)

Both of her Pokémon seemed about as happy as could be for this.

Seems that for all the happiness, neither of them seemed that keen on being trapped in a submarine rather than diving themselves (especially given both could dive way deeper than humans)

Ryan was used to being mobbed by Super Senior fans that not being recognized was a welcome surprise.
Ryan: My friends at the Geographic Society sent me an invite to this gathering. Free admission, kinda weird for a convention. But it's there. They're selling tickets to the panels, but there's plenty to browse and window shop for free. They even sell and frame specialty art prints, if you prefer that over the magazine.
