-Ciela smiles and waves goodbye to Reese, then turns to Therese.-

Ciela: Well, I'd say we did fairly well out of that. And I'm not just talking about the free drinks.

-She puts a finger to the commlink in her ear to respond to Alex.-

Ciela: Good to hear. As long as we maintain our cover and avoid any prolonged contact, I imagine we won't have any trouble with the press.

-Edouard blinks as Victor strides off.-

Edouard: ...Well, I suppose you can't please everybody.

-He then notices Byrnhilde and gives them a wave.-

Edouard: Ah, hello there! I believe we have a very close friend in common, do we not?

-Lucius looks over at Des.-

Lucius: Oh, hey th... and he's gone. Alright then.

-He turns back to Halsei.-

Lucius: Well, I was thinking you, Kirk, and Falchion. Kirk and Falchion are both pretty experienced, and have a fairly significant type advantage, so they should be able to back you up no matter what Brock brings out.

-Something harsh buzzed in Pent's hid and his vision swam for a moment. He tried to hide the spark of pain from the others-

I... I am Pentigan, I'm not sure how familiar you are all with me but I'm one of the 'old veterans' of the Team... I was part of the previous... Events that involved the Velvet Room... I think.

-He shrugs and gets out his phone-

Susan: I'm Susan, all you need to know is that I obtained information that I was discussing with Renard when the app keyed onto what we were talking about and activated.

Halsei: <That's true, but... what if he notices they're far stronger than me and he decides to send out one of his more experienced teams instead because of it? I'm a bit stronger than before, but there's no way I could handle something of that caliber. Plus, you have to remember, this isn't going to be one of those double or triple battles... at least, I don't think it will be, anyway. Would be weird if that was the case.>

They remember something and take the enchanted scarf off, folding it neatly and putting it next to Lucius.

Halsei: <I'm putting that there so it doesn't get messed up, even if it apparently can't be dirtied beyond a bit of dust... better safe than sorry, though.>

-Rose is leaning against a wall, idly trying to figure out the app. Corrin is probably idling near Artoria.-

Corrin: Uh, Corrin. Princess of Nohr and Hoshido.

-Rose taps at the app a bit, not looking up from her phone.-

Rose: Rose Jaide. Y'all used to know me as Paula Jaide.

-The app stops responding, and closes automatically from an error.-

Rose: Hrm. You sure this isn't a virus?

-Rogue clips the sleep spray back on their belt, and start tying the security guard up.-

Rogue: Let's not have you waking up and hitting the alarms, yeah?

-They quickly give the guard a once-over to check for ID, comm devices, or anything else that might cause a problem if he had them when he woke up, before pushing him off to the nearest storage closet.-

Rogue: Just out of curiosity, is there a kitchen monitor there? That could answer that question right here and now if we see anything of interest in there.

Edouard: Short, snow-white-hair, looking surprisingly good for her age. Ring any bells? She's mentioned you once or twice, if memory serves me correctly.

Lucius: That's why I'll be sending you out first. Kirk and Falchion are pretty much just there for insurance, since at the end of the day the main point of this challenge is to give you a taste of battle in a competitive setting.

-He glances down at Halsei's scarf.-

Lucius: ...Y'know, I could just put that in my bag.

Ren: -to Silas- It's best if you don't rely on the Anima series as a roadmap. I can tell you from personal experience that while some of our adventures may echo some popular media, nothing ever follows the media to the letter. So It's best you forget trying to compare too much.

Aria: My name is Aria.

Oscar: And I'm Oscar.

Aria: We're siblings and are currently time-displaced from the future.

-Both Aria and Oscar place their PokeGears on the table.-

Ren: -to the room at large- Well then. With introductions out of the way... I'll start by getting you all up to speed.

-Ren takes breath and begins to speak in a clear voice that can be heard through out the meeting room.-

Ren: Pervert.

-As soon as the first word is finished all the apps open simulatanously and of their own accord. Microphone icons continue to show that they apps are picking up what Ren is saying.-

Ren: Jerry West. Jubilife's Prost bar. Theater.

-As the final word is said, all the apps in the room say the same words in tandem.-

Nav Apps: Inputs accepted. Now searching for... "Pervert", "Jerry West","Jubilife's Prost bar", and "Theater".

-Aria stares at her PokeGear.-

Nav Apps: Candidate found.

Oscar: That's freaky.

Nav Apps: Error. Navigation can not begin. Destination too far away. Please move closer to requested destination to begin navigation.

-Ren pauses to let people process this.-

"Weird. Have you tried any other inputs? Could this be used to track down anybody? Provided we have a name, some vague traits, and be somewhat close to where they are?"

Halsei: <Oh, uh... yeah, you should put it in your bag, and I understand that's the purpose of it. I just want to make sure we're both ready, that's all.>

They look around a bit.

Halsei: <...Hm. I swear this place looks different than last time I was here. Maybe that's just a perspective thing, I don't know.>

-Rose blinks, quickly reopening her app and muttering the keywords so that it doesn't miss the cues after accidentally closing out.-

-This has the fun effect of giving it a momentary delay that makes her phone stick out amongst the otherwise synced surroundings.-

-She tries to hide herself a bit more in the corner to avoid everyone's eyes suddenly turning toward her (to what little avail it might have).-

Silas stared at the phone, then at Tagg, and then at everyone else and all he could say was, "Okay then... so I get the feeling we're going to have to go there if we want this sorted out. We got transportation there? Cause I got a ship parked nearby if needed."

-He takes a sip of his wine, then flashes Brynhilde another toothy grin.-

Edouard: You know, I could've sworn she wanted you out of Kalos. I guess her chosen lackey wasn't much good at getting the message across.

Lucius: I swear these places change the layout every time I visit. Then again, I haven't been in a gym in like five years, so that might have something to do with it.

"Then do you know what this Jerry West guy has to do with the "ruin" and "rehabilitation" that weirdly deep voiced Abra was talking about? Or are we just gonna have to go there and find out?"

Halsei: <It wasn't that long ago that I was here... granted, from a different position, but still. If I did it once as the trainer, I can do it again as the mon.>

They think about it a bit.

Halsei: <Say, have you ever done something like this before? Probably not, but I'm curious.>

-Brock sees the Pikachu on my shoulder-

-Brock throws the Poké Ball and out comes a Golem-

-Brock's Golem lets out a mighty roar-

Common Golem, the Megaton Pokémon, and the evolved form of Graveler. A Rock and Ground type. Its boulder-like body is extremely hard. It can easily withstand dynamite blasts without damage. Once a year it sheds its bedrock shell and grows larger.

Alolan Golem, the Megaton Pokémon, and the evolved form of Alolan Graveler. A Rock and Electric type. Because it can't fire boulders at a rapid pace, it's been known to seize nearby Geodude and fire them from its back.

Edouard: At least her chosen help actually managed to do what they were told to do, rather than putting the job off for months and then bungling it. Perhaps I'll ask if she's willing to share...

-Lucius rubs the back of his neck awkwardly in response to Halsei's question.-

Lucius: Uh... well, I gave both the Sinnoh and Unova Leagues a shot when I was younger. Didn't get very far. Crasher Wake kicked my ass three times over before I threw in the towel, and I got all the way to Iris in Unova before falling at the last hurdle. So... third time's the charm, hopefully?

Ren: -at the myriad responses- As you can see, we have a target. While I have no clue what this guy's relation is to the "ruin", there is also a more immediate issue.

-Ren indicates Susan.-

Jerry West is attempting to blackmail Susan here. He wants her to perform for him at the location mentioned or he'll exposed some of her most private information. Said information being exposed would ruin her career and her current life.

-Ren gets stern all of a sudden-

I propose that we, as a group, use the apps to investigate Jerry West with the end goal of, at the very least, mutually assured silence.

Aria: Ummm... Would that be illegal no matter how you slice it?

Ren: Well spotted, Aria. But there is a loop hole. I own this company, and I am entitled within certain limits to protect my interests...

-to the room at large- Which is why I'd like to hire everyone in this room aside from Susan to be part of a private security team. That will keep us out of legal trouble as long as we don't do anything illegal while we investigate.
