Halis just... stands there, processing what's going on before unwrapping their scarf again and putting it back where it was.

Halis then quickly tries to back away, but ends up falling over instead.

It seems like stress also very quickly tires them out, since they didn't get very far at all before it happened. In other words, stress and Halis are a very, very bad mix.

Silas walks over and extends a hand to help Halis up, "I'll remember that for the future."

They then quickly dust themselves off and walk away to find a place to rest, leaving behind a paper on the ground in their haste. The paper reads like a rough draft for a summary on everything related to weremons and the J-Team, and it's actually quite detailed as far as Halis is concerned... although why they would be writing something like this is a mystery.

"I'm honestly happy to see you came back for a rematch. I mean, you took that loss in August really personally, it looked like," Cynthia mused upon seeing the familiar jacketed Unovan open up her door.

Colton drew a Great Ball, staring at Cynthia from across the arena. "The two~ of us," he sang. "All used, all used and beaten up."

Cynthia threw forth her Pokeball.

"Watching fate," Colton added as Spiritomb materialized. "As it flows,"

He threw forth his Great Ball, and Sylveon landed, staring down the familiar Dark-type. "Down the path… we have chose."

Remembering the moveset that Spiritomb had, Sylveon knew what she had to do, evidenced by her deep breaths.

Spiritomb elected to prepare in his own way.

Sylveon smirked and exhaled again, keeping a careful eye on the Spiritomb and his doubles.

It paid off when she noticed the Spiritombs glowing with a familiar… relaxin - wait a minute!

A glob of darkness struck Sylveon across the face when she recovered her position, but not her balance, knocking her back a fair bit, given her Calm Minds.

Having recognized the real Spiritomb across the doubles, Sylveon made her move, diving in, locking eyes with the Ghost-type before recovering herself with a harsh holler of <YOU~! AND ME!>

"We're in this together now!" Colton hollered while looking at his rather scuffed Fairy-type. She had drawn first blood.

At least until the ground rupturing underneath her broke her from her reverie. And her wakefulness!

But this was something Colton anticipated. He and his water-type, evidenced by his - rather unwarranted - materialization.

Having materialized, he did what he always did first. His seamitar dug into the ground, and water ruptured around him, coating his sword and the ground below in water.

You would almost be forgiven for thinking that Helmsman also caused the tremors that shook the floor from under everyone, but no, that was Garchomp, doing so before Helmsman could finish.

Garchomp also began a full-force dash into the water-type, only for the move to go wide as the rushing water distorted his view.

With a prime opportunity, Colton and Helmsman continued the song that the entire team had been humming in their heads since they started rematching the league.

"None of them can stop us now!"

Tempest

After all the water splashed down onto the ground, Garchomp staggered to his feet and managed to slam his foot down, knocking Helmsman's water-laden sword out of his grip and embedding it into the dirt.

Fortunately, the Samurott wasn't just his swords, evidenced by the bright blue beam ejected from his mouth and forcing the Garchomp to faint.

Helmsman took a step back to retrieve his sword, only for an invisible force to slam itself into his body a few times and make him collapse.

I made this mistake last time, Colton realized, seeing the Jubilee Pokemon floating merrily. "And I'm not falling for it again!"

The massive bolt forced Togekiss to fall for a bit before he righted himself and tried to make the bug in front of him regret such an action.

Thankful for his Electric-typing giving him some degree of resistance, 9-Volt recognized what the Fairy-flying combo meant and went for a less practical option. He leaped onto Togekiss' back and would not let go.

It didn't hurt, but it was really unpleasant. Togekiss swiftly flied around the room, desperate to get this pesky spider off of him.

9-Volt was taken for a very unpleasant ride.

Unknown to Togekiss, 9-Volt had been draining some of Togekiss' "juice" but the Fairy-type didn't notice until he was too tired to stay awake.

The Electric-type leaped off of Togekiss and watched her get returned, only to be substituted by a Water-type.

9-Volt opened fire.

Milotic took the move gracefully; she didn't let it show that it hurt.

She really didn't.

"Just like last time, eh?" Colton observed as he threw forth someone he knew would not be susceptible to damages.

The Big-Hearted Pokemon, familiar with what he knew this Pokemon for, elected to raise his guard from the word go.

His suspicions proved accurate when Milotic blinked at him playfully. You're aromantic… he had to mutter to himself, having to look to see when Milotic would drop the charade.

With Milotic a little dispirited from not being able to Attract Julius, the Normal-type was able to go for the neck. Milotic, caught off-guard, was naturally angry.

The Tender Pokemon, not appearing to take the match seriously, suddenly got comfortable.

Julius rolled his eyes, and just threw himself into her coils. Not because he was ultimately attracted.

Now that he was close, he sunk his teeth in, sending pain coursing through the water-type's entire body.

"I know who remains," Colton started, rubbing his fingers on an Ultra Ball. "I know who you will use next. Because you saved her for last last time. And I know you'll do it again.

"So do it! Use your fifth and I'll use mine!" He demanded, throwing out his Ultra Ball in unison with Cynthia throwing her Pokeball.

"I have arrived, and this time, you should believe the hype," Colton muttered, before he looked up.

"I listened to everyone, now I know that everyone was right," he added as he placed a hand on his Mega Headphones, seeing that Cynthia's Lucario had Mega-Evolved.

<I'll be there for you, as long as it works for me,> Lucario sang as an orange light enveloped him.

When the light died down, both Mega-Evolved Lucario stared each other down before approaching each other. The two shared a friendly fist-bump before stepping back.

"<I~ play the game. It's called in-sin-cer-i-ty~>"

Cynthia's made a mad dash at Lucario that was barely halted by the paw colliding with his knees midway through the attack.

Having closed the distance between his opponent, Cynthia's began slamming as many limbs as he could into Colton's, barely hindered by the Aura Sphere slamming into his chest.

Feeling the sting from the countless punches and kicks, Colton's took a big leap back before he rammed a single punch into Cynthia's gut and went forth about a half dozen more metres behind him. From his static position, Cynthia's appeared to take about forty more punches from nobody and crumple to the ground.

With barely even a beat to skip, the spikes on Lucario's wrist lit up, creating a spiraling beam that struck Glaceon right in her chest.

Glaceon stood up and fired some darkness at Lucario, exacerbating fresh wounds and forcing his collapse.

"You are not going to stunlock me again!" Colton declared, throwing forth his Great Ball, watching his fire-type glisten in her own artificial sunlight.

Glaceon's ears drooped, as she hid behind a glistening glow.

But the Shiny Ninetales showed the Ice-type no mercy.

Colton ignored what Cynthia had to say, instead electing to enter the hall of fame room, swiftly pounding away on the keys. He walked out, head held high.

-He rattles oddly as he looks at Gabrielle.-

-Lucius's expression falters for a moment, but quickly returns to a broad smile.-

Lucius: And hey, don't sweat it. I figured you could do with something... simple, y'know? Not a big surprise party, but just a cake and some well-wishes. Enough to keep us occupied for the night.
