-Shun blinks in surprise at JD's sudden appearance, but seems too emotionally exhausted to muster much reaction beyond that, simply bundling the Avenger v2 into the back seat before climbing in himself.-

-They exhale, in an attempt to keep themself collected.-

Kai: Ever since I became faetouched, I've avoided going back on my word no matter what, out of fear that I may have accidentally put a geas on myself. I don't know if there's actually anything behind it, I don't know if something will happen if I suddenly break a promise, I don't know if I'm just stressing myself out needlessly. What I do know is that I was careless with what I said, and I'm generally terrified of the consequences of not following through with my word.

-Jessica suddenly feels like someone made a very bad decision.-

Snakeye stumbles from the hit and looks at the Quagsire with murderous intent, <On it hoss,> he muttered before taking the close range to toss a hard punch right at the Quagsire.

JD nods and closes up the car and takes off, the flight back to Lumiose hospital isn't difficult but JD takes some time to let the two rest, thanks to the silence, he opts to turn on music.

He has the [Logan] Soundtrack selected, and in a instant, some [Johnny Cash] starts playing, JD thinks to ask Shun about his feelings about the movie later.

As they approach the hospital, JD has one thing to say, "If you need help, just let me know."

Lumiose Hospital

-Shun takes off his jacket and wraps it around the Avenger v2's shoulders to try and cover his costume.-

Shun: Thank you for the lift. I should probably... get him out of the costume before delivering him to the hospital anyway, so maybe just drop us out back.

-He looks over at JD.-

Shun: ...If that becomes necessary, I will.

A bright red-haired woman is wandering around Lumiose, looking somewhat lost. A porygon-z floats next to her, projecting a view of [google maps]. It's not quite helping.

Her bloodshot-seeming eyes started just straight up glowing red.

She raises a hand, using Expiration on Surtr.

JD lands, surprisingly it's raining currently in Lumiose, JD takes a moment to mutter about how there must be a god of appropriate weather moods, before turning back to Shun.

"Considering how often you get your ass kicked, the fact that you got a high tech superhero who's injured, I don't see any sign of the upgraded version, and you're clearly in a lot of emotional distress, I won't force anything, but please consider it happening sooner rather than later."

JD looks actually pretty worried, "Something big happened, Clever alerted me to something called a "quantum state flux" or some tauros shit, and said it has to do with vacuums and wormholes, something similar to all the goddamned portals that appeared. Before you ask, Rossum has spy satellites on major regions they made for major governmental powers, something happened."

JD pokes himself out of his body for a moment, <Please, let me know that this isn't going to get somebody killed.>

Lumiose Hospital

-Shun steps out around the back of the hospital, helping the Avenger v2 out afterwards, before turning back to JD.-

Shun: Look, I... I promise I'll explain everything soon, alright? I don't think anyone's in any more danger, at least for now. I'll be in touch once I've made certain that our friend here is okay.

-He hauls the Avenger v2 away.-

JD sighs and leans back in his chair, he looks to his right and sees Clever sitting there, smiling.

"So... how come I haven't heard any talk from Rossum about my departure?"

Clever tilted his head, "You suspect they know?"

"I admitted they have spy satellites, they no doubt got agents around in dummy fronts, and my body was one of the first made."

Clever chuckled a bit and shrugged, "They don't mind. Hell they don't care, if you get found out it means that their products can be used for good, and thus they come forward with more products, and then they beat the main competitor on Porygon run machinery."

JD frowned, "And if I remain under the radar successfully?"

"Then it means the Infiltrator project works and we can start contacting more places with bodies like yours run by Porygons and selling the idea of safety. Either way works."

JD sighed, of course he was inadvertently helping the evil team, "Clever... where do you stand?"

"On the side of the digital age, that is all."

"Hm... Those new drones... what's different?"

"Human sized frames, less weak points thanks to a more solid build, weaponry based off of pokemon moves thus less lasers everywhere, and all respond to me."

JD gave it some thought, "Put a few on Standby."

The red-haired lady goes over to Gail. "Um, excuse me, but do you know your way around Lumiose? I've kind of gotten lost and [Google maps] isn't helping."

Restaurant Le Wow, Lumiose City

Jean, Ivan, and Shutter have dressed all fancy like while waiting for two more people at one of Lumiose's fanciest diners. Shutter has, for the first time, a relaxed face that didn't worry much about money. He's quite happy just enjoying the benefits of traveling with a senior editor. The outside rain was worrisome. A stack of luggage seems to indicate that they did a lot of souvenir shopping.

Jean: My wife and daughter will arrive soon. And Thomas has been called out of his current tasks to join us since Inspector Shun had to take care of business elsewhere. I don't accompany my wife shopping and not learn a thing or two about getting good deals. After supper, we shall take to the opera, spend the late hours observing the city from Prism Tower, and then drive you three back to your hotels. We won't need to drive to the Opera House so what the heck, we'll have my usual wine.
Shutter: Don't we usually need to battle to pass the time?
Gimbal: <I thirst only for conquest.>
Jean: It's completely optional, of course. The proprietor is a close friend of the Kalosian board of the Geographic Society. The senior editors get massive discounts.
