Levi flashes Lucius a big grin

Levi: Aw yeah! Right then, let's get things started~

Embedded Tower, Sandy's Room - a few minutes later.

In Sandy's section of the tower, the big guy is having a relaxing time "soaking" in his lava pit "hot spring", ears covered. When suddenly the door is kicked open by a lankier figure in green who is covering his good ear.

Which is doubly unsual considering how much time Vyvyan spends trying to avoid lava in any capacity.

Sandy: -Pushing himself up- Vyv? Why are you here? You don't-

Vyvyan: MAKE THEM STOP, I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I GOT ONE GOOD EAR AND THOSE TWO ARE GONNA BLOW IT OFF!

Vyv runs into the "changing room" and locks the door, muffled screaming eeking from the inside.

Sandy, meanwhile, listens ever so slightly and then ponders to himself.

Sandy: ...Maybe installing some soundproofing wouldn't be a bad idea...

Levi gives a sigh of content.

Levi: See babe? That wasn't so bad now, was it~?

Levi pushes down on the mattress, which makes a sound like a car going through a shredder at the junkyard (and was at least partially responsible for Vyvyan's woes upstairs).

Levi: I guess you're right, babe... This thing is kind of worn out by now

Levi scrunches his face as he thinks.

Levi: Where to get a mattress though... I'm not sure of any mattress shops in Cianwood...

Without any prompting from Jetta, M-7 held still and enabled the Kabuto to wring him and get him in close... only to hold a sharpened, Psycho Cut-enhanced tentacle out as Shinji did so in the hopes of impaling him, or slicing him, or something to get him out of the way. <"Will you please stop blabbering to your trainer and take your lie down? Did no one ever tell you; no pain, no gain?">

Meanwhile, Jetta, brushing the back of her head as she knew this question would probably be taken the wrong way, hesitantly asked Tommy "So, uh... heh, good thing this is just a casual battle scenario, huh? I-I mean, if this was like, a dangerous sorta predicament, with the life-or-death and the fate-of-the-world-is-at-stake and all that business, I guess what's happening now, to... Shinji, was it? It'd be kinda terrifying, right? J-just checking, yanno, because... I'd like to be terrifying sometimes, just a bit..."

-she goes into a somewhat abridged explanation of the Memito Movie-

-it mostly focuses on what was happening to the others, but every time she brings up Troy, she very briefly touches her side, just under her ribcage-

Brie: ...And we got back. And we saved them...sort of. I think. ...I hope. And, uh, that's why Ever's not here. They wanted to be alone, I guess.

Vyvyan's muffled screams still echo through while Sandy sighs and sinks completely into his lava abode.

Kai: Oh, gods... and you were worried about me? That's way worse than we've been up against.

-Brie's ribcage-touching does not go unnoticed.-

Kai: And... fuck, did you get hurt? I know that sort of "scar touching every time you remember trauma" thing way too well, I still do it with my scar.

We're all fine— I mean, Ever wasn't, but they're off doing their own thing and they're smart enough to get some kind of medical attention even if it maybe isn't the kind we would all approve of and anyway I don't think love nor money will stop them going wherever they want to and they're a grownup so I'm sure wherever they are they're fine there— They had a lot of broken bones though I'm kind of worried...

B-but I'm fine! Really! I got a bad hit but Thorn patched it up, it was just a cut, promise—

-she looks around briefly to make sure nobody's watching, and then pulls her shirt up slightly. Under her ribcage, there's what at this point looks like a week-old cut, if one that was originally quite large. It's mostly scabbed over and seems to be healing nicely-

Brie: Really, I'm okay! We're all fine!

-Normally, the act of pulling one's shirt up slightly would make Kai tint.-

-Right now, there's other priorities.-

Kai: ...Brie. You're panicking an awful lot for someone who's "just fine", and that wound sure doesn't look like something perfectly fine either. Sealed and healed, maybe, but not "fine".

-They gently take Brie's hands.-

Kai: It's okay for it to not be fine.

-Brie inhales and exhales sharply a couple times, before her breathing evens out-

Brie: Yeah, it's just...I've gotten hurt worse, but it's never been in the course of screwing up that badly. If Amanita hadn't gotten there when she did, I'd have died. She'd have died. Pef would have died. Ever...I'm pretty sure can't legally die, but they'd have been stuck there. Nobody would have even known...

And normally I can at least get pretty patched up, but this time...ugh.

I think I just need to lie down for a bit.

PEFE!Every: I mean, a cut's barely an injury, right? But anything else could kill you, so why take the chance? Besides, it saves time.

-she beams at Vi and Daydre, clearly under the impression that they're in agreement at this point-
