Kael: <Apparently, based on prior experience, a door is all it takes for it to show up, and given how many doors are in this place, you'd think we'd have found it again by now, but no.>

Kala: <...M-maybe it only lets us in when it wants to?>

Kael: <It's a door, Kala. It's not sentient... at least, I sincerely hope it isn't.>

Kala: <W-when we first found it, t-there was a Mawile named Bitey w-working there... we played tic-tac-toe. I-it was fun.>

-"With a deep breath the Dewott fires a massive beam of water from her mouth... which instantly turns to steam as soon as it gets within an inch of the ghost/fire type."-

Aya: <OH GOD, RUN AWAY!!!!!!>

-"The stage two water type then promptly ran for her dear little life."-

-"Not wasting any more time, the ghost brought it flaming "arms" together and summoned a giant fire symbol blasting it at its foes."-

Cafe Le Nya

Sylveon and Mae looked up from their tea in equivalent curiosity at the red dot buzzing around the walls. <What the hell?> Mae muttered as she staggered over in a Skittynip-impeded daze to chase down and examine the dot.

Human!Sylveon felt a part of herself want to join in on the chase, but she caught herself before she left the table behind. She was already standing up, though. She managed to pull her attention from the dot and saw Mezzo, who she didn't recognize but casually waved to all the same.

Sylveon's table had a couple of chairs open if they wanted to sit. Three, actually, but one was Mae's, evidenced by a slowly cooling, seemingly abandoned, half-finished cup of tea.

-Mezzo waves back, also not recognizing Sylveon-

Pianis: All I'm saying is that—

Mezzo: Yeah, yeah, we get it, you're not a bad guy.

-Mezzo resumes moving the laser pointer around-

Mezzo: Also you've got a—

-Pianis winces as a Weavile climbs up his hair onto his head-

Giri: <Eee?>

Pianis: I know.

-he takes a seat at Sylveon's table-

Pianis: Hey. Hope you don't mind.

The Thornes would find painted in clear dark letters several lines over their home over and over again.

"WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE"

"EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING THEY LOVE"

"IT CAN BE LOST SO EASILY"

"DON'T PUSH ANY FURTHER"

Stuck into a singular table was a knife with a note on it, that read in a impact font; "Don't push any further and arrest any more of our operatives, or else you risk losing everything".

The message was clear.

Café Le Nya

“No problem,” Sylveon allowed, chugging a little more tea. “But I’m not paying for your tea,” she laughed.

“Sorry about the Luxio; she just tried Skittynip today, and it looks like she can’t handle it that well.

“Ya got a Sneasel on your hair, uh,” she paused, not knowing Pianis’ name.

Pianis: It's fine, she likes to hang up there.

Giri: <Eee!> -clings to Pianis' head-

Mezzo: She means she wants to know your name.

Pianis: Oh! Pianissimo, Pianis for short. That girl in black over there is my sister.

Café Le Nya

Sylveon gestured that Mezzo could sit if she wanted, then she turned back to Pianis. “Call me, uh... Max,” she allowed, a couple of beads of sweat forming.

In all honesty, her appearance, what with the feelers, bow, pink hair and cream-colored shirt probably may have clued them in to her true form.

Mezzo: Okay, Max.

-Pianis looks "Max" over-

Pianis: I take it you're a Sylveon fan?

“Fan, sure.” “Max” allowed. “Honestly, I’m just a sucker for cuteness,” she explained away.

Mezzo: I know a few people like that. They're irritating.

Pianis: That's not a very nice thing to say about your sister.

Mezzo: Okay, one, who said I was talking about her, and two, she is irritating.

Pianis: And thank you for proving my point.

-Pianis turns back to Max-

Pianis: Anyway, ignoring her for the moment... right, you like cute stuff. Nothing wrong with that.

-Giri starts pawing at Max's ribbons-

“Heh, sibling rivalry. I like to think I know what that’s like given my relationship with D.-“ she caught herself, at the same time almost feeling Giri playing with her feelers.

Before it became just silent enough to be awkward, Mae inexplicably found herself back at the table, staring up at Max while muttering <I have nightmare eyes...>

“Yeah, D.C.’s not my brother but I like to imagine I know what a sibling rivalry with him is like,” Max sighed as she looked down at her empty cup of catnip tea wistfully.

Mae started pawing at it. “Speaking of cute stuff,” Max added as she found herself pawing at the Luxio’s mane. “Look at this cute little kitter.”

Mezzo: Oooh, she is cute. Hey, want to chase the little red dot?

-Mezzo waves the laser pointer in Mae's direction, which causes Felis and Giri to leap toward it-

Mezzo: Hey!

Felis: <Got you now, bastard.>

Giri: <Eee!>

Mae swiftly dashed after the dot, riding a high that Max valued too much.

“D.C. is...” Max paused. “A Lucario I know. He knows where I’m weak, but I know how to get him. That and he’s kind of a dick,” Max finished, nervously tugging on her Sliding Scale Choker, almost removing it because shiny.

R S M Depths

Shinobi: <Damn, so much for that plan>

-He turns to take another look at the situation-

-At Weiss- <Better to enjoy fighting than to enjoy dying>

...

-He pushes Slyph toward the door and takes up a fighting stance between her and the incoming bots-

<Sylph, you're the only other one who can phase through there, see if you can't find some way to get it open from the other side while we keep them busy!>

-He tries to slow them down with a Grass Knot-

Kazuma: "Well, that complicates things... But if Water's no good, let's give it a Sandstorm!"

-The Shuckle withdraws into it's shell and starts spinning rapidly to pull the rubble in and pulverize it into sand-

-This gives the rock bug little time to dodge the incoming attack, but he seems unfazed by the scorch mark on his rocky shell-

Mezzo: Lucarios are jerks.

Pianis: Look, just because this is a cat café doesn't mean we can bash canine mons here.

“Yeah, that’s just rude,” Max agreed. “But, as someone with an unfair bias towards dogmons and especially foxmons for my own reasons, I’m not one to talk. Cats and dogs alike are both valid,” she finished, almost looking like she was getting a little high on the scent of Skittynip that permeated through the café.

Stormchaser - Past

Alyesha thought for a bit

Alyesha: "Hmm, I do agree it's rather hard to imagine a sentient door - then again factoring in ghost and psycho type Pokémon, it kinda gets easier"

She giggled slightly

Alyesha: "More importantly, if thaqt is really what happens... could it be that - since it's a door I will assume you get somewhere when you go through it - it is controlled from the other side which doors lead to it? Like... for example switchboards were used with telephones ealier"

Pianis: Are you okay? You've got kind of that cat smile thing going on like when Piano has too much Skittynip.

Mezzo: What cat smile thing?

Pianis: You know the one. And then you start prancing around and acting like you're a kitty.

Mezzo: Well that's because I am a kitty! :3

Pianis: That, that face right there, you're doing it right now.

Mezzo: Am not.

Café Le Nya

Sylveon chuckled a little bit at Mezzo being a kitty. “Good kitter,” she allowed as she stood up and attempted to scratch under Mezzo’s chin. “And you are very much doing it,” she teased as she started wearing that same smile.

-Mezzo purrs-

Mezzo: Meow! I'm a good kitty! :3

Pianis: Piano, this is embarrassing.

Café Le Nya

Gradually easing into the gesture be damned, Max pressed the Pokéball emblem on her Sliding Scale Choker to make it a Great Ball.

A pink crescent tail shoved the back of her shirt up, her ears became a Sylveon’s ears and the bow’s ribbons in her hair extended.

She pressed the Great Ball to make it an Ultra Ball.

Her skin started growing fuzz that mirrored the coloration of a Sylveon and het eyes became a solid blue. Her nose shrunk, her fangs extended and her pink hair looked much less dyed but still pink.

She then started nuzzling Mezzo, unaware that she had just outed herself as a Sylveon wearing a human disguise.

Mae noticed and joined in the nuzzling, tackling Max Sylveon to the floor while the two just nuzzled each other on the floor.

Sylveon gestured for Mezzo to join in with a chime of “Here, kitty!”

Lumiose City, Kahlia's Apartment

-Contrary to what you'd expect from a vampire, Kahlia's apartment features less pipe organs and chandeliers and more art deco portraits and modern couches a first-time visitor would have trouble figuring out how to sit on. She does keep the windows covered with blackout blinds, though, because one can't be too careful. Really the only conspicuous thing about it is how large and well-decorated it is given her age.-

-As for the girl herself, she's laid out on one of those couches, half-asleep and watching trashy reality TV. The entire flat is almost devoid of motion - at least until one of the doors slams open, and from it emerges a figure in dark-grey armour resembling a Skarmory-themed sentai suit. He glances around the apartment before his helmet's gaze lands on Kahlia and he lets out a deep, booming shout.-

Aeroraptor:    BEHOLD!   

-There is a good five seconds of silence before Kahlia raises an eyebrow.-

Kahlia: ...Okay, I'll bite. Behold what?

Aeroraptor:    Isn't it obvious? BEHOLD, the restored Aeroraptor, in all his nefarious glory!   

Kahlia: You look the same as always, dude, and I'm gonna be real with you - you're not something I'd stop to "behold".

-Aeroraptor folds his arms and huffs.-

Aeroraptor:    Of course I look the same! I should sound the same, too, because I finally got my voice modulator fixed!   

-Kahlia raises her other eyebrow.-

Kahlia: Your voice modulator was broken?

Aeroraptor:    ...Yes. You... you didn't notice that I didn't say a single word for two weeks?   

Kahlia: Not really. I was just glad to get some peace and quiet for once.

-Aeroraptor seems to slump for a moment, before straightening up.-

Aeroraptor:    No matter. Soon all the world will know and fear the voice of AERORAPTOR, Terror of the Skies!   

Kahlia: Whatever you say, dude.

-She gives a yawn and slides off of the sofa.-

Kahlia: Well, now that you're up and voluble again, we should probably start making preparations for our next heist.

Aeroraptor:    ..Our next heist? You mean you're taking me along?   

Kahlia: Yup. I was gonna hit up our fey friend and see if he wanted a piece of it, but I dunno if he'd really be interested, and I'm gonna need some extra muscle. You interested?

-Aeroraptor hesitates for a moment before placing his hands on his hips.-

Aeroraptor:    Interested? I would embrace the chance to show the forces of hope and justice how utterly OUTMATCHED they are in the face of Aeroraptor's wrath!   

Kahlia: Right, right, great. Please don't yell too much, though. I need muscle, not a way to attract every cop in a ten-block radius.

-She smirks at her companion.-

Kahlia: Anyway, I know exactly what we're taking next. All I need to work out is how we're taking it.
