-up on the roof of the stands, Rufus is sunning himself; he sees Tangent talking to Tagg below-

Rufus: Oh, that guy! Is he telling more stories?

-the Sandile starts looking for a way to get back down-

-Toxicroak is spinning around,looking confused-

Saturn: X-Scissor!

-At the sound of Saturns voice, Toxicroak recovers, swiping at Ribbons with green energy blades-

Ribbons, use Psychic again!

- Ribbons attempts to push Toxicroak back with another psychic blast before the X-Scissor attack hits her -

Well, we did decide to meet up in Unova, it was just that I had to go down to Hoenn to check out some Unown ruins underwater and Jane and Anom happened to be going down there at the same time. So the three of us decided to meet back up back in Hoenn as well as Luke and Daisy.

-Toxicroak is nearly unconscious-

Saturn: -recalls Toxicroak- Octillery, Signal Beam!

-Octillery leaps out of its Pokeball, firing a beam of light at Ribbons-

- Ribbons takes some damage from the Signal Beam attack -

Don't give up, Ribbons! Use Charge Beam!

- Ribbons fires a beam of electricity at Octillery -

Saturn: Octillery, Hyper Beam!

-Octillery fires a huge beam of golden energy-

Okay Stratus, if it's okay with you, why don't you tell us about why everymon thinks you're useless?

Stratus: <Um...Are you sure you want to know? It's quite a long story.>

Unite: <Hey, we've got some time to kill until our next match!>

Woolly: <Besides, we really want to help you, Stratus! It really makes me sad to see such a cheerful dragon like you look so unhappy...>

Lake: <Woolly's right. None of us want you to be unhappy. So go ahead and tell us all about it. And don't spare any details.>

-Stratus smiles at everyone, feeling slightly better already.-

Stratus: <Right, here goes nothing. You see...I'm come from this place called Pokémon Island.>

Lake: <I know that place! Luke wanted to relocate a bunch of refugee Pokémon from Oblivia there, but that didn't work out. It would have messed up the island's eco-system.>

Stratus: <...Huh?>

Lake: <Oh, it's another long story.>

We'll tell you more about it another time Stratus. Now, go on.>

Stratus: <All right, so I grew up along with my family in the rough canyons on the highest parts of the island. Apart from this raging river that runs through it, it's a very rocky and harsh place to live. So it's pretty much perfect for Dragon Pokémon like me!>

Unite: <Really?>

Sol: <Dragon Pokémon thrive in harsh conditions.>

Unite: <Oh.>

Stratus: <My family's quite a large one. Since only Pokémon from Kanto live on the island, it's mostly made up of members of the Dragonite line. But my father's an exception.>

Oh? What species is your father?

Stratus: <He's a Gyarados!>

Lake: <Whoa! a Gyarados?!>

Stratus: <Yep! Of course, it means he's not so easy to get along with...>

Oh, that sounds fun. Hoenn is a very relaxing region...

- Ribbons is knocked out by the Hyper Beam attack -

You did well, Ribbons. Return!

- I recall Ribbons -

Okay, Sparq. Time for you to take the stage again!

- I send Sparq back out, the pokeball capsules' thunderbolt special effect surronding him again -

Quick, while the Octillery is recharging, use thunderwave!

- Sparq releases another thunderwave attack, the waves of electricity surrounding and paralyzing the Octillery -

And now use Super Fang!

- Sparq runs up, and bites down on one of Octillery's tentacles -

Saturn: Octillery, Rock Blast!

-Octillery is slowed by the paralysis, and only manages to fire a single rock-

- Sparq is knocked back by the rock -

You okay, Sparq?

Sparq: <Don't worry, I'm okay.>

Okay then, use Seed Bomb!

- Sparq spits out several glowing green seeds from his mouth, which explode upon contact with the Octillery -

-Octillery falls over, unconscious-

Saturn: Gallade, Psycho Cut!

-Gallade emerges from a Pokeball, slashing at Sparq with pink blades-

Sparq, use Growl!

- Sparq growls at Gallade, lowering his attack slightly just before the Psycho Cut attack hits -

Now, use Thunder Wave!

- After taking the hit from the Psycho Cut, Sparq takes advantage of Gallade being so close to hit it with a wave of electricity -

- I glance at my Poketch, noticing Sparq's health seems to be getting low -

Saturn: Leaf Blade!

-Gallade swipes with green blades this time, managing to push past the paralysis-

Stratus: <So yeah, my father's a Gyarados. And I'm sure you know by now, but Gyarados can be rather competitive. And my father is no exception.>

Sol: <So, your father likes to battle?>

Stratus: <Likes to battle? He values battling above everything else! In his eyes, if you can't fight, he doesn't want anything to do with you.>

Woolly: <Oh...I think I can see where this is going.>

Stratus: <Wow Woolly. You're very perceptive. Anyway...I have quite a lot of siblings, and whenever any of us evolves into Dragonite, Dad challenges us to a battle as rite of passage of sorts. The idea is, if we win the battle, we're officially considered an adult. And if we lose...Well, nobody had ever lost before. At least, not before it was my turn to challenge him.>

Lake: <Uh-oh. This doesn't sound good.>

Flare: <I think all of us can see where this is going now.>

So we met up in Slateport and then headed over to Jane's house in Lavaridge and met her mother, Gabriela, her Camerupt June, and the Torchic line population of her farm. Gamer then joined us by falling through a portal to the Distortion World created by Giratina the First when he went to explore the Turnback Cave before we split up and ended up there.

- Sparq takes a critical hit, knocking him out -

Sparq, return!

- I recall Sparq -

All right, Wings! Your turn!

- The pokeball capsule on Wings' pokeball causes a special effect which briefly conceals him in black mist, before it clears to reveal the Crobat -

Wings, use Fly!

- Wings flies up high -

(Me reaches the sits where Tagg and Tangent are talking)

— Hey guys... what are you talking about? Experiences by Tagg and company? (To Tangent) So, in the end, what do we do with the fangirls? At this point I'll have to pay the pilot lots of overtime...

Saturn: Gallade, Teleport then Psycho Cut!

-Gallade teleports up nicely, then freezes, unable to attack-

All right! Now, Wings!

- Wings strikes Gallade hard with his Fly attack, knocking him down to the ground -

Saturn: Try again!

-This time, the teleportation works, and Gallade slices at Crobat with pink blades-

Wings, dodge it!

- Wings moves out of the way, flying around swiftly -

Now, use Zen Headbutt!

- Wings strikes Gallade from behind with his Zen Headbutt attack -
