The sneak attack works, so does the attempt to tuck and roll, the Guardian is knocked off its footing, blasting it's laser, and incinerating some of the trees around everyone. Way to go everyone.

The Shadows themselves are still receiving a beating, but one of the incinerated trees vanishes from view, revealing a path.

Originally deciding to just ditch the store, Colton realized he did probably need to relax a little bit. Maybe his 'mons could browse if they wanted a little something. He let Amaterasu out, the Shiny Ninetales landing behind her trainer, but not exiting through the tear in reality.

And then he noticed Gabe. He casually nodded to the bloke he didn't know before he resumed. Lord knows what's here.
