-The Sarahs pale, and look toward the source of the voice: a blue-haired man with a team of six Toxicroak.-

??? Deimos: You're staying right where you are.

Kalos League

Samantha: Ah! This must be Zeal?

Kalos League

Zeal: Indeed!

Lanie: ...Er... right.

-She turns to Zeal.-

Are we going to have our battle now?

Zeal: Oh, right. Sure! Maybe.

Sarascape - Past

Jacob: -Follows the voice too, though his reaction is somewhat different from Sarah's-

-He is gripped with an overpowering anger-

-He holds out his hand- "If you think you can stop us." -In a flash of white his sword materializes into his hand and he slashes downwards, holding the blade out a ready position-

"Try. I'm going to enjoy ending you." -Maintaining his stance, he takes a few steps forward to put himself between the Toxicroaks and Demios, and the Sarahs-

Sarascape

Deimos: ...Heh... Hahaha! You think you can win with just that sword? This'll be fun.

-Jacob is pulled out of the way just as three of the Toxicroak jump at him from different sides. Aspect!Sarah cringes at her own pain, but looks Jacob in the eye.-

Aspect!Sarah: Dammit, now is not the time to be playing hero! Leave already!

-The real Sarah is completely frozen in fear, something reflected in the mindscape by a sudden temperature drop of about 20 degrees.-

Sarascape - Past

Jacob: -Is pulled aside and growls in anger- "But... he... Deimos.... he... SUFFER... nrghh....!! FINE!" -He throws his sword at Deimos before grabbing Sarah the not-Aspect by the wrist and running away from Deimos and the Toxicroaks-

Sarasacpe — Past

-Deimos laughs as the blade embeds itself in his chest. Harmlessly. The real Sarah stumbles after Jacob, while the aspect Sarah puts herself between them and the fleeing duo.-

Aspect!Sarah: The exit's in the train station!

-She turns back toward Deimos and the Toxicroak.-

Aspect!Sarah: They better not die on the way...

-The Toxicroak leap at her.-

Kalos League - Outside

-Lanie looks at the cloudy sky.-

Lanie: Huh, it's raining.

Zeal: You didn't notice? I'm all wet. I was just outside.

Lanie: Well, it's not too bad. We've postponed this battle long enough.

Zeal: We're battling in the rain, then! Right!

Sarascape - Past

Jacob: -Is still feeling quite infuriated as he dashes along- "It's... not fair..."

-Shakes his head- "Train station? Right then." -He looks back at Sarah as he runs along-

"Hey are you okay?"

Sarascape — Sarah Lane — Past

Sarah: ...It never is fair...

Sarascape - Sarah Lane - Past

Jacob: "Gonna take that as a "no". Okay come on we're almost out of here and this time there's nothing trying to kill us!"

Sarascape — Sarah Lane Main Street — Past

-Sarah nods silently, following Jacob as they return to the intersection from the main street and go down the path they went up before.-

Lanie: Hey, do you mind if we don't do the rotation battle thing?

Zeal: I was going to ask the same thing... It'd make it more like what the Elite Four'll be.

Lanie: Alright, then! It's decided. Let's...

-She throws a Poké Ball.-

Zeal: ...begin!

-Zeal does the same.-

-Hue looks at Dento, now a Manectric.-

Hue: <...I acknowledge that you have the advantage at this stage.>

-Vierr has taken to curling up against the wall.-

A certain costumed not-quite-hero comes across Vierr and approaches him.

"Hello? Do you have a problem?" he asked in a concerned tone.

Vierr might also notice that his Aura sense is suddenly disabled.

Vierr: ...No. The whole reason I'm like this is because of someone in a mask. I don't trust people in masks.

He stares at Vierr for a few seconds "... Can you at least tell me what happened? I understand if you don't trust me but..." he sighs and rubs the back of his helmet "I just want to help."

Vierr: ...I had a dream that somehow robbed me of all Auric ability I had. I'm sure you've heard of Aura.

"Dreams can do that?" he sounded curious.

Vierr: "Ouch, Vierr. Sorry to hear that, Vierr. I hope you find a way to get better, Vierr." Thanks for being so concerned about making things better.

-He rolls his eyes and walks away.-

He follows Vierr and grabs him by the arm "Hey, I want to help, but I need to understand your problem better for that. It's easy to tell you're stressed. I don't want to just say a shallow "hope you get better", I want to see if there's anything I can do."

-Vierr glares at Shingeko, trying but possibly failing to pull away from him.-

Vierr: You can leave me alone, that's what you can do!

Zeal: Dento, Wild Charge!

Dento: <Gotcha!>

-Dento shrouds herself in electricity and charges at Hue. When they collide, Hue goes flying backward as Dento is slightly damaged.-

Lanie: Ngh... This doesn't look good for us... Hue, U-turn!

Hue: <Certainly.>

-Hue uses U-turn on Dento. Dento is knocked over as Hue returns to Lanie.-

Lanie: Right, then...

Scholar: <Ah, Dentist! How are you this fine day? I am enjoying the rain, myself.>

-Dento pushes herself back to her feet.-

Dento: <Um... it's Dento, and aren't you fire-type?>

Zeal: Ignore him, he never makes sense.

Dento: <M'kay.>

Zeal: Now then, u—

Lanie: Scholar, Earthquake!

-Scholar creates an earthquake. Dento instantly faints.-

Zeal: ...Never mind.

-Zeal thinks about his remaining mons.-

Zeal: Damn... I've got nothing to beat fire, do I...? This could be a problem... Eh, let's try this...

-Waffles is now a Floette.-

Waffles: <For what reas—>

-She notices Lanie and Scholar.-

Waffles: <Ah, I see. A battle.>

Zeal: Yep! Now then, Psychic!

Waffles: <...Very well.>

-Waffles hits Scholar with a telekinetic force.-

Scholar: <That was not very pleasant, Sir Pancakez.>

Waffles: <...It's... it's Waffles... and there's no "Sir".>

Lanie: Flame Charge!

Scholar: <Of course! Take this, Sir Pancakez!>

-Scholar cloaks himself in flame and charges at Waffles as fast as possible, which is admittedly not terribly fast. Regardless, Waffles goes flying backward.-

Lanie: Once more, Fla—

Zeal: Nope! Psychic!

-Waffles regains her balance and hits Scholar with another telekinetic force. Scholar faints.-

Waffles: <Looks like you couldn't handle the taste of Waffles.>

-She blinks twice, then stares at Zeal.-

Waffles: <Arceus, did I really say that? ...Zeal, you're really starting to rub off on me in the worst way possible.>

-Zeal laughs manaically.-
